CH19: School Play Gone Wrong?

“I can’t wait to see our kids on stage!” Taetae’s mother squealed happily while she went inside the school theatre with Hyo’s mother. “Geez. Kimmy seems so pumped up.” Mrs. Kwon commented as she took the brochure from the entrance of the theatre. “Does she even know that Taeyeon is playing a tree?” Mrs. Im whispered softly. Mrs. Kwon only shrugged in respond before catching up with the Kim mothers. “I can’t believe my kid is playing as a hamburger.” Mrs. Choi blew her cheeks as her friend laughed at her. “At least she got a role.” Mrs. Hwang said and brought her friend inside.

“It seems like our daughters are playing as princesses, Mrs. Hwang!” Mrs. Jung reads the level 7A’s brochure. “My daughter is a hamburger.” Mrs. Choi pouted disappointedly to the woman who was following them from behind. “I’m sorry to hear that.” Mrs. Jung replied in sarcasm. “Don’t be like that. C’mon, ladies!” Mrs. Hwang laughed heartily. “How about you, Mrs. Lee? What role is Sunny playing?” Mrs. Seo asked nicely. “Huh. She volunteered herself for the prince role just because Tiffany is a princess.” Mrs. Lee sigh a smile as they walked inside.

“Hyoyeon ah! You look pretty.” Sica complimented with a wide smile forming on her lips. “You too, Sica yah!” Hyo replied back and hugged her friend. “You guys! Our maknae is like an angel. Look!” Miyoung pointed the direction where Hyunnie was. “Uwaah! So pretty maknae ah!” Hyo commented as Sica signalled their maknae to come and talk with them. Maknae came running excitedly towards her unnies and hug Sica who securely held her.

“Unnies! You look pretty!” Hyunnie’s time to compliment her unnies. “The same goes to you our dearest Joohyun.” Miyoung replied. “What role are you playing, maknae?” Sica asked. “I am a singing princess! How about unnies?” Hyunnie responded back. “We are the three princesses of melody!” Miyoung replied. “Ooh! I can’t wait to watch unnies’ performance!” Hyunnie said. The four girls started to help with each other on their roles afterwards.

“Ayo, what’s up my danshin partner?” Sunbun loosely curled an arm around Taetae’s shoulder but the dork pushed her arm away angrily. “How many times does Taetae have to tell Sunbun that Taetae is mad at SUNBUN?!” Taetae yelled out. Sunbun chuckled lightly and stubbornly clung on her friend again. “Don’t worry, Taetae yah. It’s only a kiss on the cheek for Hyo.” She stated as Taetae looked at her with dead glare. “You promise?”

Sunbun came closer to the dork’s ear and whispered, “No.” Taetae immediately pushed Sunbun’s face away from her. “YAAAH!” She cried as Sunbun started to laugh deviously. “Sunbun will kiss Hyo on the lips for 5 seconds or maybe more than that!” Sunbun teased as Taetae became whinier. “Andwae Sunny shi!! Taetae will not even give you a second to touch her!” Taetae said. “But darling, this is a part of our performance.” Sunbun smirked. Taetae landed her flat on the floor and started to roll around. “ANDWAEEE!”

“Yah, Sunny Honey~! Don’t make Taetae cry or else you’ll regret it later on!” Miyoung noticed the danshin scene from afar. “I REGRET NOTHING! MUAHAHA!” Sunbun started to laugh some more like a little devil. “Lee Soonkyu.” Miyoung said sharply and Sunbun stopped in immediate. “Ne, Miyoung.” She walked to her partner like a puppy while Hyo came to her partner who was still rolling. “Taetae, what are you doing?” Hyo bent down as the dork stopped. “Taetae~”

The dork lifted up her head with a pout formed on her lips. Her heart almost skipped a beat as she saw her angelic partner. “I am sad and angry and...sad.” Taetae admitted as she went to hug her partner’s left leg. “Hyoooo, don’t kiss Sunbun please!” She begged almost sounded desperate while Hyo only smiled. “Aigoo. It’s just a part of the play, Taetae. No need to overreact.” Hyo said calmly but Taetae felt that her heart was on the level of breaking into pieces. “Hyo actually wants Sunbun to kiss Hyo?!” She asked in an envy tone.

“Aniyo! It’s not like that, you silly dork of mine!” Hyo chuckled and pulled Taetae up to stand again. “We both know that we belong with each other.” She said as Taetae nodded rapidly. “And we also know that Sunbun only have eyes on Miyoung.” Again, Taetae nodded. “So what is Hyo’s point??” She asked. “Hyo is trying to say that the kiss that Sunbun and Hyo will share later on is only a part of the play. Hyo promise it would only last a second too, okay?” Hyo said as Taetae sigh a long one. “Fine.”

Hyo smiled and pulled Taetae into a hug. “Don’t be jealous. Hyo loves you.” Taetae slowly smiled and wrapped her arms around Hyo securely. “Taetae loves you so much more!” She replied as Hyo giggled. “Good!” Suddenly, Youngie and Yoong came towards the couple with their costumes. “What’s up, unnies?” Yoong greeted as she took a bite on her almost finish sandwich. “Just cuddlin’.” Taetae replied while eyeing on her friend in the burger costume. Youngie noticed the sudden stare from her unnie and looked at her awkwardly. “What?”

“Why are you all dressed up as a burger?” Taetae asked. “Why are you a tree?” Youngie replied back sarcastically as Taetae’s blood boiled. “I AM A TALKING MAGICIAN TREE.” Youngie only rolled her eyes. “I thought you would be playing as a hero to Hyo or something...” Taetae dropped her shoulders in disappoint and glared at Sunbun from afar. “Taetae wanted to but that cotton haired bunny already took Taetae’s role so Taetae ended up being a tree.” She explained.

“The worst is Sunbun unnie will be kissing Hyo!” Yul appeared behind Yoong and soon regretted what she said when she met Taetae’s flaming eyes shooting directly to her. “Ooooh. That’s a real bummer.” Youngie said calmly. Taetae was about to yell at her friend but Hyo kissed her on the lips before she could even open . The dork softens yet she still has the sour expression on her face as Hyo pulled out. “It will only last a second.”

“I know.” Taetae replied and loosely wrap an arm on Hyo’s shoulder. “Sweet.” Youngie commented and soon was attacked by someone from behind. Sica popped her head to the side with a smile plastered on her face. “My burger prince~!” She chirped as Youngie’s smile turned wider. “Speaking of sweet, hello my sweet princess~!” Since Youngie couldn’t do the cuddling and kissing due of her burger costume, Sica changed her hug position from back to Youngie’s front so she could give her a peck on the lips.

“Ahh. A sweet kiss from my angel.” Youngie said dreamily as Taetae huffed. “It’s not only you who can get sweet kisses! Quick my love! Give me a sweet kiss here!” Taetae tapped her lips as she puckered it in front of her partner. Hyo blushed madly and obeyed what Taetae asked her to. “Ahh. A sweet kiss from my angel.” Taetae stole Youngie’s line and even said it with the same tone with Youngie’s. “Oh Geez. Sunbun will get sweet kisses from Sica and Hyo soon.” Sunbun mumbled to herself with a smirk.
