CH16: Sleep Over

Taetae woke up from her afternoon nap and looked at the time. It was almost 5 in the evening. She let out a yawn and walked to the bathroom while rubbing her eyes. She accidentally knocked her head on the wall since she wasn’t looking where she was walking. “Oww...Oww....” Taetae rubbed her forehead and pouted while her eyes were still close. “If only my love is here to rub Taetae’s forehead...” Taetae mumbled and suddenly smiled at the thought of her partner helping her to rub her forehead, with that beautiful smile of hers. She sighed dreamily and walked inside the bathroom.

After done washing her dry face and did her business inside the bathroom, she passed by her brother’s room and saw her brother was still in his afternoon slumberland. Taetae only smiled and went downstairs. “Ummaaaa!” “Umma’s at the kitchen!” Taetae ran to the kitchen and saw her mother was having a coffee with Mrs. Jung and Mrs. Kim (Hyo’s). “Good evening Taetae.” Mrs. Jung greeted while the dork smiled at her aunts. “Hello aunties!!”

“Finally you’re awake. Hyoyeon and Jessica are waiting for you at the backyard.” Mrs. Kim (Tae’s) said. Without saying anything, Taetae immediately ran to the backyard, spotting her two friends were sitting under Taetae and Jiwoong’s tree house. Hyo was reading a book while Sica was sleeping peacefully on her friend’s legs. “My love.” Taetae grinned and went closer. “Annyeong!” Hyo looked up and gave the smile that melts Taetae’s heart. “Taetae~”

“Sorry.” Taetae said and sat down beside Hyo. “Wae?” Hyo looked at Taetae confusingly. “Taetae didn’t know that Hyo and Sica are coming to Taetae’s house.” “It’s okay. Hyo and Sica didn’t know too. Umma and Aunt Jung brought us here.” Hyo said as Taetae nodded understandingly. She snuggled on Taetae’s shoulder and continued to read the book. “What are you reading?” Taetae asked as she leaned her temple against Hyo’s head, trying to get a better view of the book. Soon, they were reading the book together. “Sica book?” “Sica said Hyo should read this book.” Hyo smiled at some of Sica’s random emoticon on the book. Taetae also smiled and began reading.

Sica’s Youngie is a shikshin. Sica doesn’t want anyone to steal Youngie away from Sica. Sica owns Youngie for goooood. (✿◠‿◠)

Sica has a special friend too. Sica’s special friend’s name is Hyoyeon. Sica’s readers should call Hyoyeon as Hyo because Hyo is a cute nickname.

“So that’s why Sica always tackle Taetae...” Taetae said as Hyo giggled. “Be careful, otay? Hyo doesn’t want Taetae to feel Sica’s wrath. It is very creepy and scary.” Hyo said. “Ne, my loooove.” Taetae nodded. “Hello guys!” An American little girl came running towards the three with a puppy on her hands. “Tiffany~” Hyo greeted with a smile. Taetae immediately picked up Miyoung’s dog. “Romeo~!” She hugged the puppy and kissed it several times.

“Are Hyo and Sica sleeping over here too?” Miyoung asked. Taetae tilted her head to her friend while Romeo was busy her, Hyo looked at Miyoung with a confused expression and Sica woke up from her sleep after she heard the word ‘sleeping over’. “Sleep over...?” Hyo asked unsurely. “Is that why we’re hereee?” Sica asked before she let out a long yawn. “Mommy told me that Miyoung will sleep over at Taetae’s home tonight.”

“Oh....Today is Friday!” Taetae said happily as Miyoung nodded. She remembers that Miyoung will always come to Taetae’s home on Fridays for a sleep over. She tilted her head to Hyo next and grinned. “Is Hyo gonna sleep here~?” She asked while Hyo only shrugged. “Let’s go and find out!” The four of them ran back inside the house to their mothers. “UMMA! Are Hyo and Sica sleeping over for tonight with Taetae and Miyoung?” Taetae asked cutely.

“Surprise.” Mrs. Kim (Tae’s) smiled at her daughter. “YAAAAY!” Taetae put Romeo down and pulled Hyo into her embrace. “So that’s why mommy was kidnapping Sica’s bag-pack earlier before we came here!” Sica said as she looked at her mother. “Honey, it’s called ‘helping daughter to carry their bag-packs.’ Not kidnapping.” Mrs. Jung said as Sica only grinned at her mother’s answer. “Go and take your bag-packs at the car.” Mrs. Kim (Hyo’s) said. The kids went to the front yard and took HyoSica’s bag-packs.

“Now go and wash yourself or else no dinner!” Mrs. Kim (Tae’s) informed as the kids stood at the stairs. “Goodbye! Have fun!” Mrs. Jung, Mrs. Kim (Hyo’s) and Mrs. Hwang bid farewells to their daughters before they left. “C’mon, let’s go to my room!” Taetae said as the four of them ran along the upstairs corridor. “Omo...” Miyoung stopped on her tracks. She also manages to grab Sica’s wrist before the girl could follow the Kims. “What’s wrong?” Sica looked at her friend.

“Toilet!!” Miyoung grabbed Sica with her to the bathroom. Sica waited for Miyoung at the corridor and heard loud snores coming from one of the rooms that were near to the bathroom. She walked to the only open door room, revealing a sleeping boy. Sica looked at him closely and startled. “Taetae’s twin??” She asked herself. Suddenly the boy was wriggling non-stop. “Ummaaaaa, I want a beautiful girl! Beautiful girlfriend!!” Jiwoong yelled in his dreams. “You won’t get a girlfriend if you whine like that to your mother.” Sica snorted.

Romeo came inside Jiwoong’s room and Sica immediately hugged the dog. “A puppy~ Hello there!” Sica smiled at Romeo. “Arff arff!” Romeo barked before Sica’s cheek, indicating that the animal likes her. Sica giggled and only hugged it. Jiwoong slowly stirred from his sleep and opened his eyes. “WOAH.” He looked up and saw a beautiful girl right in front him with a puppy. “Oh...did I wake you up?” Sica tilted her attention to the boy. “THANK YOU UMMA!” Jiwoong yelled.

“Ahhh. Better.” Miyoung smiled warmly and went out from the bathroom. “Eh? Where did Sica go?” Miyoung asked herself and heard a thud at Jiwoong’s room. She immediately went to the room and froze. “W...What happened?!” She looked at the unconscious Jiwoong with blood bleeding out from his nose before looking back at the girl with her puppy. “He tried to kiss me!” Sica said and ran to Miyoung. “Who is he, Fany ah?”

“This is Jiwoong oppa. Taetae’s oppa.” Miyoung said as she only stared at Jiwoong’s blood.
