CH12: The Return of the Dork

“FINALLY!” A little girl shouts in joy as soon as she ran outside of the hospital building. “Finally Finally Finally!” She kept on repeating the word while jumping around the area. People look at her and give her smiles while a boy just covered his face as he watches her sister. “That is not my sister...That is not my sister...” The little girl noticed her brother and immediately ran to him. “OPPAAAA!” The boy was startled. They ran around and around their mother’s car. “YAH! Taengo yah! Stop chasing oppa!”

“Come give Taetae a hug first!” Taetae pouted. Jiwoong whined and stopped running. He gave his sister a hug and even a kiss on the forehead. “YAY!” Taetae chirped happily and returned back a sloppy kiss on her brother’s cheek. “Ewww! Now get away from me!” Jiwoong pushed his sister away and wipes his cheek. Taetae only smiled and continued her mini celebration dance. She jumps around her oppa in circles while singing. “Taetae ish recovered! Taetae ish recovered! Wow wuu wee! Wee de wu de wow!”

“AISH STOP!” Jiwoong was getting annoyed at his sister. When he saw their mother walks towards them, he immediately ran to the woman. “UMMAAA! Let’s go home please?” Taetae also whine to her mother and ran to her too. “UMMA ANDWAE! Taetae wants to go to the park!” “HOME!” “PARK!” “HOME!” “PARK!” The two siblings fight with each other while their mother only sighed. “Okay, quit it you two. Umma will take you both somewhere better than home and park.”

“UMMAAAA!” The siblings whined together as their mother unbuckled their seatbelts. “What?” Mrs. Kim asked playfully. “GROCERY SHOPPING? REALLY UMMA?” Jiwoong huffed as Taetae pouted. “Don’t be like this, my dorks. Go and find snacks or something while umma will be at the vegetables section. “Ohhhh, you are totally coming with oppa.” Jiwoong said as he dragged his sister to the snacks section. “Oppa, I want candies!” Taetae chirped as she pointed at the second shelf of the sweets section.

“Go and take it.” Jiwoong shrugged and walked to the drink section, leaving his sister alone. “But....it’s too high.” Taetae pouted. She looks around her surrounding and thought of something. First, she took all of the cookie boxes and arranged them like stairs. Taetae gathered all of the cans to hold the boxes while she climbs up to the second shelf. She took 2 packages of sweets and carefully climbs down from her handmade stairs. Taetae immediately ran away from the section, not really ‘in the mood to put the snacks back’. Jiwoong came back to the section and walks nearer to the stairs that Taetae made.

“What’s this?” Jiwoong asked confusingly and looked up. “How did Taengoo–” “JIWOONG!” Unfortunately for him, Mrs. Kim came to him with a surprised face. “What have you done?!” Jiwoong widened his eyes and began to panic. “ANDWAE UMMA! JIWOONG DIDN’T DO THIS! TAENGOO DID IT!” Taetae also came back to the section. She saw her brother was being lectured by their mother and only grinned. “Yeah yeah umma! Oppa did it!” Taetae said as Jiwoong shot glares to his beloved sister. “Aish. C’mon you two. Stay close to umma.”

“Okay, fine Taengoo. Oppa accepts the revenge from bumping Taengoo on the stairs.” Jiwoong nodded as his sister smiled. They bid goodbyes to each other as Taetae came out from the car. “Hwang, please take care of Taeyeon for awhile. I need to send her brother to his Karate lessons.” Mrs. Kim said. Mrs. Hwang nodded in understood and held Taetae’s hand. “Umma, come back soon ne?” Taetae smiled as she waved at her mother. “Ne, sweetie.” Mrs. Kim smiled and left with Jiwoong.

“You seem really happy, Taeyeon sweetie.” Mrs. Hwang ruffled the dork’s hair before letting go of her. “Be careful while playing. Miyoung and the others are over there.” Taetae nodded and ran to her friends. “HAI GUUUUYS!” Miyoung was the first one to notice her friend before the others. She ran to Taetae and gave her a big hug. “Waaah! Taetae can walk and run now!” Miyoung chirped happily as Taetae nodded happily. “Ahuh! Miyoung ah, where is Taetae’s looove?” Taetae asked cutely when she notices that her partner wasn’t around.

“Hyo is with Sunbun over there, Taetae yah!” Youngie pointed at the two friends under the tree. Taetae huffed and held hands with Miyoung. “C’mon Miyoung ah. Taetae wants to do some revenge~!” Miyoung giggled and followed along. “Miyoung would like to help!” The two kids ran to the tree leaving the others behind.
