I understood immediately

"Do...do you...like him?"

Tearfully she nodded...

"That...much?"
"Neh..."

My heart broke for her. She is in love with someone that treats her really badly. Gently taking her in my arms to comfort her, I vowed to protect her...

 

Minhyo P.V.

He is so warm...Taemin is so warm. All this time I've been frozen in the arctic situation created by Minho...and Taemin is like the sun. I'm happy to have this friend to keep me warm.

"Are you okay now? Nonna?"

I let go of him and whisked the tears from my checks...

"N-neh."
"Okay lets start heading back now, we don't want the Hyungs getting worried."
"Yea *Haha* we don't want Key Umma to think I ate up his son." =P
"*Haha* yea..." he blushed

We got up and threw our trash out, and started home. I felt a lot better. I could take long deep breaths and hold my head up high. *AAAhhhhhh* so refreshing ;)

When we go home everyone was asleep in the living room. There was some random cheesy sounding movie playing...

" *Hahaha* they don't even care about us, they can still sleep so comfortably in the middle of the day."
"I see."

Everyone was there except Minho...Taemin lead me over to my room. I stopped infront the door...

"Minnie *blush* thank you for today. I really needed it."
" *haha* No problem whenever you are feeling bad tell me and I will cheer you up okay!"
"Neh."
"Okay you go get some rest to, you've worked hard today."
"Okay."

I turned around to go into my room, then all of a sudden Taemin grabbed my hand and swung me around towards him, trapping me in his powerful arms...

"Tae...Tae...Taemin-ah..."
"I'm happy that you don't hate it here...and I will protect you..."

He hugged me tighter. Then He lifted his head and planted a soft kiss on my forehead...

"Alright, go sleep..."
"Neehh."

I smiled at him and went into my room.

 

Minho P.V.

I let the hot water run on my face. I felt so drained, I hate this. I turned off the shower head and toweled myself down. I started putting on my shirt and shorts when I heard Taemin come into the house...

" *Hahaha* they don't even care about us they can still sleep comfortably in the middle of the day."
"I see."

Wait...hes with Minhyo? I peeped outside of the bathroom door. They were in the hall, Taemin was walking, leading Minhyo to her bedroom...

"Minnie, thank you for today. I really needed it."

My breathe caught and got stuck in my throat. What! she spent one afternoon with him, and shes calling him by his nick-name! They were still talking, but I couldn't hear them. There was some weird buzzing in my ears. Minhyo started going into her room, then Taemin took her by the hand and hugged her tightly, then to my utter disbelief...kissed her on her forehead. My head suddenly weighed a thousand pounds on my shoulders, I thought I would fall over. I couldn't watch anymore, my eyes were buring and the buzzing in my ears got louder. I shut the door as quietly as I could, and let my body collapse onto the floor. I looked around and all I could see was white hot. My chest felt like it was caving in on itself. I shut my eyes tight and grabbed my chest. I can't believe how much this hurts. Something so small like that...and here I am...dyeing...

~~~~~NEXT DAY~~~~~

Minhyo P.V.

I woke to the sound of pounding on my bedroom door.

"Are you going to sleep all day! Wake Up!"

OH! I looked at the clock...(11:45 am) OH! I was supposed to be practicing with Minho at 11!

"AH! N-NEH! MIANHAEYO! "

I threw on some sweets, and put my hair up in a high pony tail while apologizing. I ran over to the door and without thinking flew out of it, crashing into Minho.

"Ah! Apa.."
"Yah, can't you see where you are going?!" Minho looked pissed. I bit my bottom lip and bowed in apology.
"Mi..Mianhamida." He huffed and turned away from me..I followed behind with my head hanging...

 

Minho P.V.

Minhyo was dancing my part over again for the dozenth time. My blood was boiling, the images of her and Taemin kept flashing in my head. It was setting me ablaze.

"Stop...Do it again."

I started the music over, Minhyo started again...

"Minnie, thank you for today..."

"Stop. Again..."
"What? What is it now?!"

Did...did she just talk back at me? I felt anger wheeling up in me like hot mutant lava. My fist clenched.

"Did...you just snap at me?"
"I'm so tired of your attitude! What! What do you want me to do again when you wont even look at me!"
"You better stop right there..."
"All you do is bark orders at me! Do you hate me that much!"
"I'm warning you, you'd better stop..."
"You're 'warning me'? *HA* I can't believe this. What will you do when you can't even look me in the face!"
"RIGHT! I CAN'T! I can't look you in the face! I hate the sight of you! It gives me the chills! It makes me sick! Why? Why are you here?! If you aren't going to listen to me, if you dislike me so much, THEN LEAVE!"

 

Minhyo P.V.

I felt sick to my stomach...what did he just say...'I hate the sight of you! It gives me the chills!  It makes me sick!' I clenched my fist, I could taste blood leaking from my bottom lip that I was bitting. Hot tears came rushing to my eyes. I can't take this anymore. I...

 

Taemin P.V.

I was walking past the practice room. I wanted to check on Minhyo.

"Stop...Do it again."

Minho started the music again, and Minhyo began to dance. It wasn't even 10 seconds into the song before Minho stopped it again.

"Stop.Again..."

What the heck, He wasn't even watching her! She is doing it perfectly!

"What! What is it now?!"

Minho looked pissed, I turned the knob to go in and get her but Minho suddenly looked like she slapped him in the face...I hesitated...

"Did...you just snap at me?"
"I'm so tired of your attitude! What! What do you want me to do again when you wont even look at me!"
"You better stop right there..."

Minho looked like his skin was burning...


"RIGHT! I CAN'T! I can't look you in the face! I hate the sight of you! It gives me the chills! It makes me sick! Why? Why are you here?! If you aren't going to listen to me, if you dislike me so much, THEN LEAVE!"

...Then my skin was burning. I pushed the door wide open, and charged at Minho.

"YOU...YOU!"

The interaction between Taemin and Minhyo is cute. A man dressed up as a clown and practically screaming his head off as he chased after them is a hilarious scenario to witness. Minhyo's got a point about Taemin not understanding her situation since he had never fallen in love before. The pain that both Minho and Minhyo are experiencing is really depressing. It looks like they are really in need of emotional/moral support from the people around them. If only there's something that the rest of the SHINee members could do to help. Jonghyun's the only one oblivious to the reality of the situation--being happy-go-lucky without a care in the world. First, they'd have to reveal the truth to him. Minho does look like he's torn fron the inside-out here. Since Minho had been cold towards Minhyo since the beginning, it's hard for her to get over that and truly accept him with her heart. So, this is the price he pays for mistreating her. Still, her love for him won't go away. It did prevent her from letting him kill himself by heavily drinking. Hopefully, things would work out between the two of them with time. This is really depressing to read. It does hurt to see them suffering so much.

It has been a while since I last read this. Though, I haven't forgotten about the essence of this story.<br />

It's a matter of time till Jonghyun finds out the real truth behind Minho's recent behavior. He seems to be diagnosed with the condition of being lovesick. Hopefully, Minho and Minhyo would try to work things out together. It is the groups' concern when at least one of their fellow teammates isn't feeling well. They need all the support that they can get. Later, they would have a bigger problem to face: having Minho's secret revealed to the public. I wonder how their management company would handle this. It could be passed off as a rumor. There are people who stir things up through gossip to catch the interest of others.<br />

1. His whole body tensed and you looked back at Onew with nervous eyes. <br />
* It seems like the attention is drawn towards the readers where the "you" is inserted. That should've been "he" instead since Key was referring to Minho.<br />

Since Lee's out of the picture, she no longer has to deal with him and his hurtful words. I'm aware that Taemin still feels bitter towards Minho for mistreating her. Taemin truly loves and cares for Minhyo that he'd do anything just for her to be happy. The feelings that he has for Minhyo are making him overwhelmed. It seems like a curse because of the way he's suffering from it. Getting drunk doesn't help the situation at all. The problem will only go away when the person confronts it and does something about it. That's when the weight will be lifted off the shoulders. Onew's the only one who knows the truth about Minho not really being himself...up till now. It looks like Key might be able to get some answers from him. Since he's so deep in sleep, it's unlikely that he'd be waken up from his nightmare. I hope it'd be a happy ending for all of them. <br />

The words in yellow aren't easy to see, especially on a bright monitor. It does put pressure on the eyes to have to squint in order to read it. It's best not to use colors that are look very too bright.

Jonghyun seems to be the only one having the least involvement from what I remember reading in Chapters 1-12. It's good that we finally get to see things from his perspective. Another plus is that you've gained three new subscribers. ^^ Good for you! <br />

It's a relief that the vision that left us hanging in the previous chapter isn't real. Poor Minho is worried sick now...almost like he's awaiting for the apocalypse to occur. Onew's fitting into his position well as their leader. He seems like the kind of person that any of his teammates--Minho, in this case--can turn to whenever there's a problem that some well-thought advice is needed to help cope with the situation/circumstances. That shows his care for the well-bing of his fellow teammates. It looks like Taemin hasn't forgiven Minho after the way he treated Minhyo. So, it could take a lot for him to be convinced. The lie that Minho came up with won't last long once they (minus Onew) get to the bottom of it and figure out his actual problem. I wonder what Minhyo would tell them about Taemin.
