Special Someone (CURRENTLY EDITING)
"Alright! My turn!" The shortest of my group said.
We were having dinner together to bond and know each other.
I just did my introduction and my new friends got really excited.
And they are also really proud to be friends with me cause I looked attractive.
They admitted it.
"So I'm Hyora.
I know my name sounds a bit funny
but I like it cause it was given by my mum on her deathbed."
"Your mum is dead...?"
"Yea, hard labour."
She took it really lightly.
It was probably because she's used to talking about it.
Or it's because she never have had the feel of having a mum,
so not having one didn't bothered her.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay,"
the girl who have yet to introduce herself said,
"she's always like that."
Hyora nodded and laughed.
"Hi, I'm Haitong, and I'm Chinese."
Oh! She's non-Korean too! Yay!
I like these people I'm working with.
Sometimes it's hard to communicate with Hyora.
She's a bit spoilt.
Probably cause her dad tries to make up for her missing mum.
I like how they make mealtimes so noisy too.
Hahaha.
Hyora then asked, "what made you join SM? Fame? Fortune?"
"Me?"
"Yea," Miri said,
"I joined so that I can prove those people who said I was worthless wrong!"
And she added a laugh which made her cute.
"I joined to steer clear of my stepmom."
Hyora said and rolled her eyes.
"I wanted to do something I like and
earn money to pay off my dad's debts at the same time." Jaeli said.
"Will you all laugh at me if I join for someone?"
All of them stared at me and laughed.
Jinchan then said,
"I joined for someone too.
I joined to see Siwon oppa! I'm a big fan!"
I felt relieved and said, "thankfully I wasn't the only one."
"So who did you join for?" Jinchan asked.
"Baekhyun sunbae. Of exo."
"So you're a fan of exo?"
"Sort of. I admire Baekhyun sunbae a lot,
and I want to be like him."
Haitong then coughed and said, "or be with him?"
All of them laughed again and so did I.
"No. I really just admire him."
Our conversation was interrupted by Kris accidentally.
He was sitting behind us and we didn't know it!
He accidentally elbowed Jaeli's head
and Miri who was siting across her gasped.
Everyone turned to Kris and he apologised and
walked away in slight embarrassment.
"He's so good looking!" Jinchan said.
"I know!"
I can't deny he is good looking,
but I still think Baekhyun looks better.
Jaeli then stopped their spazz moment,
"so have everyone showered yet?"
Everyone then nodded.
"Great," she continued,
"I received news just now that SM is ready to give us one of our songs.
Let's go to the music room after this and we'll work on it."
"Our song as in?"
Jaeli patted me and said, "the song that will be in our mini album."
Oh great, I'm super excited now.
I ended up having to go to the music room alone first.
Jaeli had to go find the person holding the lyrics and scores,
Miri and Haitong went to the toilet,
who knows where Jinchan went
and Hyora's dad came here to gift her something.
Didn't matter, I could go there and do some warm ups first.
So, there I was, back to that music room.
And since I was alone,
I couldn't help but to go over to the piano once more.
Being at the piano again,
I thought of Baekhyun.
And the way he plays the piano.
But then, it was because of that,
I uncontrollably thought of someone else.
That man who got me started on liking the piano.
I sat down and rested my head on the fallboard,
like the way students slept in class.
But the piano was way lower than a table,
so it was quite uncomfortable.
I closed my eyes and his image appeared.
The scene of our first meeting replayed in my mind
like an old movie that my grandma watched in her childhood days which she can't forget.
"Are you alright?"
I jumped and turned to my side where the voice came from.
It was Baekhyun again.
"Do you want to use the piano? I'm sorry, you can have it."
He was standing really close to me, making me feel quite self-conscious.
I quickly stood up and offered the seat to him.
He waved his hand and shook his head as he spoke,
"oh, no. I'm not here for the piano. In fact, I'm here to talk to you."
"Me? Why?"
"I heard from Kris hyung that I have a fan here, and I'm wondering if it's you."
I burst into a smile and blushed slightly.
"Why do you think it's me?"
"I don't know," Baekhyun said,
"it's just a hunch. But judging from the way you're reacting, I assume it is you."
I nodded and smiled again.
I bit my bottom lip and tried to hide my smile,
but when he smiled back at me, I couldn't control it anymore.
Baekhyun was about to say something when Jinchan burst into the room.
"_____... I think I'm interrupting something."
"No," Baekhyun said, "I'm leaving already."
"I see. Bye sunbae," Jinchan said.
"Bye. And goodbye, _____."
"Bye."
