"KYAAAAAA!"
I was kept out of the studio as my eonni-s filmed
some parts of the music video for our song "Brave"
and some teaser photos for our album.
The funny thing was their screams.
I kept hearing screams.
Was the outfit really that disappointing?
"Hani, it's your turn next to go in and do the make up,"
a crew told me as she stuck her head out of the studio.
"Right," I said and went over to her.
I entered the studio and someone pointed to the side of the room.
I looked over and saw the rack where my outfit was hanged.
I wanted to walk over when I saw Haitong leaving with teary eyes.
"Eonni! Are you alright?!"
She nodded and left the room quickly. What was going on?
After I came out of the changing room,
I went get my make up done.
While I getting it done, Jinchan came over to me.
"We're moving dorms anyways," she said.
"To where?"
"Out of this building. Since we won't be trainees anymore,
we're going to have a dorm at a better place."
"I see."
"I'll be off now, it's my turn."
Jinchan then walked away.
It wasn't long before I heard her scream.
"What?! No no no no no! I'll never hold that!"
Jinchan yelled.
I looked into the mirror and saw
someone holding a tarantula!
The person was trying to pass Jinchan the tarantula
but Jinchan refused to take it.
She even started crying at the side of the set.
The crew was slightly annoyed but
they had to give her some time too.
This then made me realise that I'll be posing with it later.
The make up artist then went over to wipe of the tears
for her and touched up on her make up.
While doing that, I thought about me.
Later, do I really have to pose with that?
Thankfully Jinchan was a daring girl,
it didn't take her long before she was convinced into doing it.
Halfway through the shoot, Hyora came in.
She sat down beside me and asked,
"is that a tarantula?!"
"Yea..."
"What?! Are we going to pose with that?!"
"I think so."
Hyora was then asked to get changed.
And when she was getting her make up done,
Jinchan's shoot ended.
"Eonni, are you feeling alright now?"
Jinchan nodded at me with teary eyes and said,
"I'm somewhat glad. Cause if it wasn't for this,
I would never have touched a spider."
I laughed and gave her a hug.
She too hugged me.
She then gave me a pat on the back
and said, "good luck!"
I nodded and sent her out of the studio.
Outside of the studio,
I saw Jaeli speaking to manager eonni
and she was crying really badly.
Was Jaeli really that scared of spiders?
My name was then called and I
had to go for my photo shoot.
The photo shoot starts with just some casual pose.
I really wished this would be all I needed to do since
I didn't want to touch a spider, not that I do now.
"Alright, good take. Now, are you ready?"
I gulped and nodded.
"Good," the camera man said,
"now please bring in the butterflies."
"Wait what?!" I shouted.
"What what? Yes, you have to do a
photo shoot with butterflies
and also a short video clip."
"But... But..."
"No buts. Your eonni-deul did with tarantula,
owl, chameleon, and a horse.
Surely you can pose with butterflies right?"
Who was that person who's scared of horses?
Hahaha.
"I.. I don't think I can do it..."
He was about to reply me when I
ran off the set, on the verge of tears.
I wanted to leave the set,
but someone happened to enter at the same time,
and it was Baekhyun.
"Wait, where are you going?"
I shook my head and wanted to leave,
but he grabbed my arm.
"You look like as if you're about to cry!
Are you alright?"
"Get me out of here. Now!"
Baekhyun then looked at the crew members
and said, "let me borrow her for a while..."
I sat at the indoor staircase, while Baekhyun sat beside me.
I leaned against the wall and thought about the butterflies.
"Why don't you just do the photo shoot?
Get it over and done with."
"You won't understand,"
I said and cupped my ears.
He pulled my hand down and said,
"if you don't tell me, of course I won't understand."
I sighed. He grabbed my hand and rubbed it gently.
"Was it because it had something to do with your fear?"
I turned to him, "you know about our photo shoot?"
I then realised how warm my hand feels.
The feeling was great.
He nodded.
"I rushed back from the airport cause I heard about it."
I then turned away from him.
"I just can't do it. Butterflies... They're..."
"They're not scary.
They can't even defend themselves.
And a butterfly dies dies a few weeks after laying eggs.
Plus, their wings are soft. They don't bite.
Butterflies are so vulnerable, and weak."
I closed my eyes and said,
"that's why they're scary."
"Pardon?"
"Butterflies are so weak!
They die off so easily! I can't...
I just can't work with them."
Baekhyun then wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"Tell me, did you ever killed a butterfly?"
I nodded.
"Was it by accident?"
I nodded again.
"Alright, don't cry,"
he said and pushed my head to his chest.
I then started crying because he told me not to.
It's just, a natural thing.
"Oppa, I didn't kill it on purpose. I really didn't.
I like them so much yet they die in my hands.
I just can't work with them!"
"You like butterflies?"
"I like them so much!
How they flutter carelessly around,
just doing their business.
And how carefree they are.
I used to catch them with both hands, and release them
shortly after to look at them flutter away.
But since that day one died in my hand,
butterflies and moths seem to have something against me.
Oppa, I really don't want to do that photo shoot..."
Baekhyun laughed a bit and said,
"I know what ever I say now won't change your mindset
of them and all, but if you don't give yourself
another go with butterflies, you'll forever be
avoiding something you like so much."
He then kissed my forehead.
"And your shoot doesn't require you to touch the butterflies."
I got up from him and turned to him.
"Really?"
He nodded.
"They're using more than one butterfly,
so they'll just let them fly around the set.
You just have to let one big butterfly land on your hand."
I then laughed a bit. Why was I so silly?
Baekhyun then joined in too.
He hugged me once more without saying anything,
but I could tell that he was trying to give me a confidence boost.

HELLO! ^^ Just wanted to do a little confession:
I am freaking scared of butterflies and moths. LOL
I even influenced people around me to be scared too.
But the reason in the story is taken from my sister's senior.
That can't be the reason why I'm scared of them ahahaha.
I'd rather die than to touch one.
