Eunkyung?
Special Someone (CURRENTLY EDITING)
Not long after that day of teaser filming,
something big happened.
On the day of moving, our manager eonni
told us something no one expected.
"Where's Jaeli?"
I asked.
"She told me she'll move later tonight,
she's busy with her family now.
She said to leave her things alone she'll do it later,"
Hyora said.
"So, we move first?"
"Yeap. She said manager eonni will help her later.
I'll go inform the driver that everything's ready."
The truck which carried our stuffs left and
manager eonni's car stopped at the same spot.
"I'm so excited to see our dorm!"
Haitong said.
"Me too! I'm extremely excited!"
Jinchan said.
The way Haitong and Jinchan communicate with
each other is so different from Jaeli and Hyora.
Maybe because the two of them (Jaeli, Hyora) are more elder,
they're more mature and they don't scream to each other.
But likewise, they're really close.
Jinchan, Haitong and Miri were close friends,
Hyora, Jaeli and I were closer.
"Calm down, girls,"
Hyora said and leaned against the window,
"I'm tired and I feel like sleeping."
"Wait, don't sleep yet," manager eonni said,
"I have something to announce."
"What is it?"
"You guys are going to have a new leader,"
manager eonni said.
"The seventh member? Taking over Jaeli?"
Haitong asked.
"Nope. Jaeli won't be a part of us anymore.
She officially left the group and sm.
So your debut will also be delayed."
"What sort of sick joke is this?"
Hyora asked.
"It's not a joke, Jaeli's not
going to be with us anymore."
"Why?" I asked.
I can't imagine Jaeli not bring here for us,
not being our leader.
She was my first friend in the group
and also someone who I can confide to!
I told her about my past and my family.
I trusted her! And now she's gone...
"I don't think I'm in the position to
tell you all why she left," manager eonni said.
Hyora hit the back of manager eonni's seat while saying,
"you're not in the position? Then who is?!
You're our manager for f—"
"Hyora, chill!" Miri said
and held Hyora by her wrists.
Hyora flung Miri off and tried to call Jaeli.
From the looks of her face we could tell
that Jaeli wasn't picking up.
"Why isn't she picking up?!"
"Hyora, Jaeli probably doesn't want to talk now,"
manager eonni said.
"Shut up!" Hyora shouted.
Our manager then kept quiet and drove on.
A few seconds of silence sort of calmed Hyora down.
She threw her phone back into her bag and
just looked out of the car through the whole journey.
The rest of us remained silent too, to not disturb her.
I sat in front of her, and I
could hear her mumbling to herself.
"That freak. That freaking liar."
I know how she felt, having someone so
important to her leaving without saying anything.
But I'm just a minor, I don't think she'll
want to listen to me, or confide to me. Ever.
A day later, we finally met the new member
at our dorm. The scary thing was the way
Hyora adapted to life without Jaeli suddenly.
She lived normally, but
she became very rude. And picky.
"Hello! I'm Eunkyung! Nice to meet you."
"I know who are you, so save the introduction,"
Hyora said without looking away from her magazine.
The Eunkyung girl.
She looked taken aback and intimidated. I sort of pitied her,
but I don't want to piss Hyora off at a time like this.
I went to the couch and sat beside Hyora.
I then looked at the other members around the room
and they signalled me to talk to Hyora.
I didn't know what to tell her, so I just asked,
"Eonni, who is she?"
"She's our new leader. She had been training in sm for 5 years already."
"I see."
Manager eonni saw how coldly she was treated,
so she helped Eunkyung with moving her things into the room.
Eunkyung and I shared a room, so I suppose I still
have the chance to talk to her without pissing Hyora off.
Eunkyung went into the room and manager eonni
glared at all of us. She then left with Eunkyung.
I peeped at Hyora. She wasn't affect at all.
I sighed and walked off to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
