A month had passed since the girls had left apartment 5017.  In the beginning, the girls kept in touch via text message, although they never mentioned their relationships, because they were scared that somehow the messages would be leaked.  But over the course of the month, because of their busy schedules, the messages became fewer and fewer, and eventually stopped altogether.  In short, life carried on...Jiyoon, Luna, and Bora were busy promoting their new albums.  Jihyo was busy filming a new movie and Running Man.  Dara was on tour in America.  And Sooyoung was busy in the studio.

4Minute was getting ready to perform Volume Up at SBS Inkigayo.  Backstage, Jiyoon was talking to her best friend Hyuna:

"You ready?" - Hyuna

"As ready as I'll ever be!  Who else is performing today?" - Jiyoon

"The Wonder Girls, T-ara, Secret, and f(x)." - Hyuna

"...f(x) is here today?" - Jiyoon

"Yeah...why?" - Hyuna

"Nothing, but I did live with Luna for 6 months so I should probably say hi." - Jiyoon

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot that you did that show." - Hyuna

"Haha, worst friend ever!  I was gone for 6 months!  Did you even notice I was gone?!" - Jiyoon

"Sorry unnie." - Hyuna [makes a pouty face]

"It's okay.  I should go find Luna though and say hi." - Jiyoon

"Okay, but don't take too long, we go on stage soon." - Hyuna

Jiyoon parted ways with Hyuna and started her search for Luna.  She went to the hallway where all the dressing rooms were and started looking inside each and every one of them.  But f(x) was no where to be found; Luna was no where to be found.  Jiyoon decided that she would try one last room and then call it quits, because she had to get back to the stage, or Hyuna would kill her.

[Jiyoon knocks on door and then opens it]

"Hello?  Is anybody in here?" - Jiyoon

"Hey Jiyoon, what's up?!" - Victoria

"Ah, I found you guys!!" - Jiyoon

"Haha, yeah you found us, but why were you looking for us?" - Sulli

"After I heard that you guys were performing today, I thought I should come by and say hi to Luna.  I haven't seen or talked to her in forever.  Where is she anyways?" - Jiyoon

"Yeah, I can't believe you guys lived together for six months!  When I was watching the show, I was surprised at how clean the room was!  In the dorm, her room is soooo messy!  Anywho, I think Luna is in back with Amber.  You should go surprise her!" - Krystal

"Okay, yeah!" - Jiyoon

Jiyoon quietly/nervously made her way to the back of the dressing room.  She couldn't believe that it had been a month since she had last seen Luna.  As she turned the doorknob to the backroom, she couldn't help but get butterflies in her stomach.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and slowly opened the door.  As she opened her eyes, she was horrified at the scene in front of her.  Her smile quickly faded and the butterflies turned into heartache.  She quickly closed the door and ran out of the dressing room.

Jiyoon's POV

I can't believe what I just saw.  They were kissing, right?  I thought what we had was real.  Even though we haven't been able to talk much, I didn't think she would forget about me so quickly.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  I think all of us knew that once we left the show, things weren't going to be the same...I just didn't expect to have to face reality so quickly.

Anyways, I guess her and Amber are a couple now...

After discovering Luna and Amber kissing, Jiyoon made her way back to the stage.  Even though she felt like dying and the last thing she wanted to do was perform, she knew she would have to up her feelings and take one for the team - she didn't want to let her group members down.

Once she arrived at the stage, she ran into Hyuna and Sohyun:

"What took you so long?  We only have 10 minutes until we take the stage!" - Hyuna

"Sorry.  I will finish getting ready quickly." - Jiyoon

"Have you been crying?!" - Sohyun

"No.  Why would I have been crying?" - Jiyoon

[Nobody knows about the relationships that formed in apartment 5017 other than Hyorin, Soyu, and Yuri]

"I don't know, but it looks like you have been.  Anyways, you should get your make-up touched up." - Sohyun

"I'll go with her." - Hyuna

Jiyoon and Hyuna walked away, leaving Sohyun behind:

"So, what's wrong?" - Hyuna

"Nothing's wrong Hyuna." - Jiyoon

"You're my best friend.  I know when something is wrong with you, so spit it out." - Hyuna

"It really is nothing.  I will get over it." - Jiyoon

"Well I'm here if you need to talk Jiyoon.  You're like my sister, so whatever is bothering you, you can tell me.  I won't judge you." - Hyuna

"I know.  I just don't feel like talking about it right now." - Jiyoon

The two girls quickly got their make-up done and headed to the stage where Sohyun, Gayoon, and Jihyun were waiting.  Jihyun gave the two girls a death glare before saying, "Okay guys, let's go kill it!  Fighting!"  With that, 4Minute took the stage and sang Volume Up.  For Jiyoon, it was the longest 4 minutes of her life.  All she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cry.

After they finished, f(x) took the stage, the last perfomance of the night.  Jiyoon didn't have the heart to watch them perfom and instead sat in an empty dressing room and cried.

The ride home was quiet, nobody dared to ask Jiyoon what was wrong.  Once they arrived back at the door, Jiyoon immediately went to her room and shut the door.  She threw herself onto her bed and hugged her pillow and cried for hours.  Eventually she drifted off to sleep, heartbroken.

The next morning, with swollen eyes and a heavy heart, Jiyoon picked herself up out of bed and made her way for the kitchen.  Her fellow group memebers were already done eating and were now just chatting amongst themselves as they finished drinking their coffee.  Jiyoon grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down in the empty chair.  As soon as she sat down, all eyes were on her.

"What are you all looking at?" - Jiyoon

"You." - Hyuna

"Clearly, but why?" - Jiyoon

"We are concerned about you.  We heard you crying all night." - Jihyun

"Please tell us what is going on Jiyoon.  Maybe we can help." - Gayoon

"Yeah, please Jiyoon." - Hyuna [gives puppy eyes]

[Unable to keep it to herself any longer, Jiyoon decides to tell them what is bothering her...]

"Fine.  I saw Luna kissing Amber yesterday and it made me upset." - Jiyoon

"You saw the two of them kissing?!  I thought that maybe Amber was a lesbian, but I never thought that Luna was!" - Hyuna

"Well, why did that make you upset?" - Sohyun

"Ugh, while we were filming The Girls' House, Luna and I became really close." - Jiyoon

"...really close?  What does that mean?" - Hyuna

"We became more than friends...I fell in love with her.  And I know you all probably think I am disgusting for falling in love with a girl, but please don't lecture me right now." - Jiyoon [begins to cry]

"I can't speak for everyone, but I don't find it disgusting at all.  We can't help who we fall in love with." - Jihyun

[All the girls nod, agreeing with Jihyun]

"I can't even imagine what you are feeling right now, or what you are going through, but we are all here for you." - Hyuna

[The girls crowd around Jiyoon and give her a group hug]

"Thanks guys, I don't know what I would do without you all." - Jiyoon

Feeling a little better after telling the girls the truth, Jiyoon excused herself from the table and went back to her room.  She picked up her phone and saw that she had a text message from none other than Luna:  "We need to talk."  Jiyoon, without sending a reply, closed her phone, opened her window, and threw her phone as far as she could.  She closed her eyes and let out a sigh as she heard the phone hit the pavement and shatter.

[Rewind back to when Jiyoon opened the door and saw Luna and Amber kissing]

Amber told Luna that she had something she needed to talk to her about, in private.  So, Luna followed Amber to the backroom.  Amber began confessing to Luna:

"Please don't judge me, but I have been in love with you since our training days.  I thought that maybe these feelings would go away, but they haven't.  In fact, they have only grown stronger.  Please don't hate me.  I just needed to get these feelings off my chest." - Amber

"I don't hate you Amber, but I'm sorry, I can't love you back.  I already love someone else." - Luna

Amber, not listening to a word Luna was saying, pushed Luna against the wall and forcefully kissed her.  Unfortunately for Jiyoon, she happened to miss the beginning of the conversation and only saw what she believed was a mutual kiss between the two.

Luna heard the door open and was petrified to see Jiyoon standing there, but before she could do anything, the door closed and Jiyoon was out of site.  She immediately pushed Amber away and started crying.  Through her sobs, she managed to get out, "I am sorry Amber.  I love you as a friend, in fact, you're my best friend, but we can only be friends.  I hope you understand."  Amber, after looking into Luna's eyes, knew that she had lost the fight, so she responded, "I know.  I just thought if I kissed you maybe sparks would fly, but I can tell that you really do love someone else, so I'm sorry.  Let's just pretend this didn't happen and go back to being best friends, please."  Luna wiped away her tears and the girls hugged to reaffirm their friendship and then headed into the main room where the other girls were waiting:

"Sooo....what is going on?  Jiyoon just ran out of the room crying.  And I can tell that you have also been crying.  Is everything okay?" - Victoria

"Things will be fine.  I will talk to Jiyoon.  It is just a misunderstanding." - Luna

"Okay, well we take the stage soon, so let's finish getting ready, okay?" - Victoria

"Alright." - Luna

After 4Minute finished their perfomance, f(x) took the stage.  The whole time they were performing Electric Shock, Luna couldn't stop thinking about Jiyoon.  She just hoped that Jiyoon would let her explain...

That night, after arriving back at their dorm, Luna decided she should at least send Jiyoon a text.  She didn't really know what to say, so she typed a short & simple message, "We need to talk."

Luna's POV

I hope she responds quickly.  I really do need to talk to her.  I need to explain to her that what she saw wasn't what it looked like.  I am in love with you Jiyoon...please don't stop loving me because of this.

The next day, Luna couldn't stop looking at her phone, but no matter how many times she looked, there was still no response from Jiyoon.  She began to wonder if things were really over now...
