“Okay, so do you get the plan?” L.Joe asked.

I nodded my head; I was still in shock from the car ride. That’s it; I am never letting him drive again! Luckily we didn’t crash into a tree to stop, it was really lucky I yelled ‘stop’ in time or we’ve would’ve been dead by now.

“Okay, good-luck Hye Mi,” L.Joe said to me with sincerity.

“Thanks,” I said back not really sure what he meant.

“You’re going need it,” he whispered under his breath while looking away out the window.

“What?” I asked.

“Oh, Nothing. Now get going,” he turned to me again. He pushed me out of the car and I made my way to the gate a block away.

The Guard was sleeping and I could see his keys. I went to a nearby tree and broke a branch off.

 Is this really okay? I mean to do what L.Joe said. He said that this place was a mafia place and that the people here dress as cops as a disguise. Oh boy, I hope I don’t mess everything up!

I then ran back to the front of the gate and carefully slipped the branch to the keys on his belt.

‘Come on, just a little further, Hye Mi you can do it’ I told myself over and over, sweat ran down my face in fear that he might wake up.

Then the key dropped onto the branch ‘yes! I did it’ and I quickly retrieved it by pulling the branch back.

When the key fell into my hand, I quickly screamed and dropped the branch; I then slipped the keys in my pocket, “Ajeoshi! Please wake up!”

The man quickly woke up, “Who are you young lady?”

I tried to cry, “I miss my oppa! You took him away; he’s my only family now. Please, I miss him so much,” A tear ran down my cheek, “Jebal, can I see him?”

“I’m sorry, you can’t see people here, it’s against the rule,” The guard told me.

“Okay,” I said sadly, I looked to the ground; ‘I am such a bad liar, I guess I failed’ but then I remembered what L.Joe said to me, in case they said no, there was always a plan B. I then began weeping out loud, “Umma! I can’t see oppa! I can’t keep my promise to you that we made before you died. I’m sorry umma, I’m so sorry!” Please work, it has to work!

I peaked up a little, the guard was looking at me with sad eyes, please work, “Okay miss, I’ll let you in,” YES! He then picked up his walkie-talkie and told someone to come. I can’t believe L.Joe’s plan worked!

Then another guard came, and led my way to my ‘oppa’. As we walked, I looked down to the ground again, it had the dangerous feel around here, I didn’t dare to look up.

When we arrived to this hall, I looked up. The hall was filled with prison cells. Mean big guys occupied the cells as we walked by. Some gave me vicious stares and some gave mouthwatering stares.

“What’s your oppa’s name?”

Was I found out? I have to be careful, “K-Kim Myung Soo,” I said while looking around in all the cells, I had to find the guy with the same description as what L.Joe said.

“He’s your brother?” the guard asked in disbelief, “Umm…He’s right over there,” the guard pointed to the end of the hall in the left. He led the way.

As we arrived to the cell, a cute guy was sitting on the floor by the wall, just staring at us, and then I quickly grabbed the bars and acted like a caring sad sister, “Oppa! Umma died a few days ago,” I started weeping again, “She wanted to know if you were well and eating your food, and Oppa BYUNG HYUN, left too! I’m alone now,” I emphasized Byung Hyun because that was L.Joe’s real name and I was hoping that guy would catch on. With his eyes that now widening and staring at me, I’m guessing it worked.
