Aish, where is the grocery store? I can’t read Hangeul yet. Why didn’t I take Korean lessons back when my dad told me to in the states?

Sigh… I took out my IPod Touch and hit the translator app. then I punched in ‘Grocery store’.

Hmm…식료품점… Now where do I see that?

I looked around and saw the words. “Yes! I knew my IPod Touch would come in handy here!” I cheered as I rushed to the store.

On my way to the store, as I pasted a dark alley way, I heard a faint cry, “Jebal, someone, help me!” I stopped and stared at the narrow passage way. At the end, I saw a guy in full orange sitting on the ground hurt and bruised up. He looked harmless and cute; I didn’t sense anything dangerous at all, well except for the bruises.

As soon as I saw the blood flowing on the ground, I quickly rushed over. “gwaenchanha?!” I said in a panicked voice. I bent down and looked at his injury. He had cuts all over his body. I’m surprised he didn’t pass out yet, “Why are you like this?” I asked worriedly.

“Please, help me! They took my friends. They took the wrong people. I was able to escape but my friends didn’t make it in time. Please, help me!” I watch the cute guy beg me, his puppy eyes stared me right down. How could I abandon a cute puppy-like guy like him? But something seemed off, oh well, there’s no time left.

“Okay, I’ll help,” I said calmly in a reassuring voice. His eyes twinkled as I said that. A grin slowly appeared on his face that quickly turned into an angelic smile.

“Thank you so much!” He happily said, he then gave me a big bear hug. He then let go and gave me the puppy eye look again, “Umm, but can you get me out of these clothes first?”

“Sure, but why do you have them on?” I asked while looking at his bright orange jump suit. It made him stand out in the open. Anyone could spot him a mile away, “Were you by chance…” I began to say, his eyes began to fill with a worried look, and his fist tightened up a bit, “Bungee jumping?”

Confusion filled his face, “Bungee… Jumping?”

“Yea, you know. The thing with a long cord that you hook yourself up to and dive from high places,” I naively said while my hand motioned up and down.

 “Oh, Bun-gee Jum-ping? Yea, that’s why I’m wearing this orange jumpsuit,” He quickly said and laughed while cutely nodding his head up and down several times. His accent when he said Bun-gee Jum-ping was so cute.

“Awesome, I love bungee jumping. I did it all the time in the states.” I told him. I than grabbed his hand and tried to pull him of the ground, but he wouldn’t budge.

“I can’t go… They’re looking for me,” he said sadly while pouting.

“Arasso, I’ll be back with clothes for you to change into,” I said hoping he’d be okay when I leave.

As I tried to let go of his hand, he wouldn’t let go.  Panic rose in his voice, “Are you really coming back?” His voice cracked while he said that. His eyes showed he was scared, who wouldn’t be in this situation?

“I will,” I assured him.

“You promise?”

“Yes, I promised,” his hand relaxed a bit as I said that.

“What’s your name?” he asked suddenly, his eyes softened as he looked at me.

“H-Hye Mi, Park Hye Mi,” I nervously said. I had no idea why I said that nervously.

“Park Hye-Mi huh, it’s a nice name. Well, I’m L.Joe,” He said.
