Chapter 2
Whom to FallJieun saw that heads were turned when she entered the restaurant. And she noticed that most of the customers where checking her out, especially the men. But, she didn’t care. She hates it when men are checking out other women especially when they have their dates.
She wanted to nudge them, but she cannot blame them. She wasn’t in her usual garb of jeans and shirt. Tonight, she was wearing a blue Calvin Klein tank dress that emphasized the curves of her body. Instead of her typical pony-tailed hair, she let her bouncy and silky hair on loose. She even had make-up on. She maybe not the type of girl who always dresses-up, but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t how to fix herself.
If she wanted to be beautiful, she could be beautiful.
Finally, she spotted Kai at the corner of the restaurant. While most of the guys inside are admiring her, this guy doesn’t even question why the guys beside their table were all looking at one direction. For the first time, she didn’t know whether to be pleased or irritated at the current situation. Pleased because he didn’t imitated those monkeys that they forget their dates when a pretty lady passes by. And she’s annoyed at the same time because he doesn’t take his eyes away from his date. Well, not that she wanted him to look at her direction–

She remembered telling him that she won’t wear new clothes for tonight’s mission. Then, how come he looks at her as if she’s new specie waiting to be examined?
“Good evening,” she greeted formally like the ones in their drama.
The chair created some noise when Kai suddenly stood up. If that wasn’t their usual scenario, she really would think that he was surprised by her sudden appearance. After all, that was his expected behavior – acting as if he’s really remorse about his “infidelity”.
“I-IU… you look…”
“Thank you.” Why sudden change of dialogue? “Fancy meeting you here Kai. I can see you have a companion. Who is she? Another friend?”
“Uh…” He just couldn’t seem to stop looking at her. He can’t even properly say his normal excuses that he had memorized way before.
What the heck’s wrong with you, Kai? Don’t tell me conscience is already growing on you?
But when she looked at the woman who was now dabbing a tissue on her cheek, she realized what was keeping him distracted. The woman was crying. He wanted to hit and kick him hard. What the heck did he told her earlier because this was the first that a woman cried during their date. Good thing Soo-jung can still face her formally.
The woman had pride. And she admired her for that.
“My apology,” she said. “I was discussing some important things… with your boyfriend. Don’t worry, we are done talking. If I may, I’ll go ahead first. I can
