“Cheer” we were having a party of winning the competition at Gayoon’s house

“We’ll be busier since there’ll have some exams and the national competition at the same time” I said

“You forgot one event, hyung” – Dongwoon

“What is it?”

“Your birthday. Same day with national competition”

“Oh, right…” I nodded lightly as Hyuna looked confused

“It’s 19th December, unnie” – Sohyun

“We must win so we can celebrate both…Hyunseung, get some ideas soon” – Doojoon

“Why me? Hyuna did help us too, didn’t she?” Hyunseung raised his eyebrows. And again, he sat next to her.

“Yeah, I forgot…Hyuna-ah, help us one more time, is it okay?” Doojoon asked and Hyuna nodded happily

“Aw, you’re so cute” he pinched her nose

“Get off” I smacked his hand

“Oppa’s so sweet~ Protecting Hyuna~” the girls exclaimed when I felt embarrassed

“You finished?” I saw Hyuna put the chopsticks down and she nodded

“Yah!! You just ate a little, eat more” I put some food into her bowl as she pouted but still did what I said

“Ew~…” the boys made disgusting faces

“What?” I didn’t understand

“Since when you turned so cheesy?” – Yoseob

“You can be cheesy, why can’t I?” I smirked knowing I win

“Ah, babe, why haven’t your parents come back?” he stuck his tongue out at me before turning to his girlfriend

“They won’t. They have business trip” – Gayoon

“So you’ll leave in this house ALONE?”

“Nae. What’s wrong?”

“Absolutely not. Go to Jihyun’s or Jiyoon’s house”

“Oppa~ I’m not a kid anymore~”

“But you’re a girl and it’s not safe for girls staying alone”

“Why don’t we sleep over here tonight?” we all turned to Kikwang after hearing his statement

“Forget what I just said” he was back with eating

“No, that’s actually a good idea. We haven’t had a sleep-over for a long time” – Jihyun

“Yeah…I’m in. What about you guys?” – Doojoon

“Me too”

The others agree one by one until there’re just me, Hyuna and Hyunseung haven’t said anything.

“Oppa, will you stay?” – Jiyoon

“Me?...Uhm…” I wasn’t sure

“Please~ It’ll be the first time for Hyuna~” she did an aegyo

I turn and see Hyuna quiet excited about that

“Okay, we’re in”

“Hyunseung, it’s just you left…” – Doojoon

“Of course, I’m in” Hyunseung drank another can of beer. He has drunk a lot from the begin, he may not forget Jina noona

“Great!! Let’s finish the dinner quickly, turn back home to take some clothes and come back here. Agree?” – Gayoon

“Yes!!” my friends exclaimed

“Are you sure you want to stay?” I asked Hyuna again after we took our clothes and she smiled widely

It’s not a bad idea after all. She had no friends for years. This is perfect time for her to know what friendship is. When I sit on my motorbike and about to start the engine, I notice Hyuna keep glancing at the food stall across the street

“Do you want some?” I spoke and she shook her head but her face showed that she really wanted

“It won’t take long. Come on” I got off my motor and pulled her to the stall

“What do you want to eat? Choose. My treat…Tokbukki? Only that?” I was quite shocked when she chose the tokbukki immediately. Hold on, tokbukki? She bought it to the kid Minhyuk so it’s her favorites?

“Auntie, two dishes of tokbukki…Take a seat, Hyuna” I directed her

She keeps watching the seller prepare our dishes. Her eyes are sparkled. Seem like she really loves it. She eats right away after the seller puts the dishes in front of us. Seriously, when was the last time she ate this?

“Hey, slowly. No one steals it. Eat mine…I’m fine. I’m still full” I gave her a glass of water

She really enjoys the tokbukki that why she doesn’t even notice some sauce on her nose.

“Aigoo…Just like a kid. There. Clean again” I used a tissue and cleaned it for her as she stared at me for a while before turning back to her food

“Done…Let’s go then…Auntie, here’s the money” I paid

After playing some games, we feel sleepy and decide to sleep on the floor in the living room. It’s the coziest room in this mansion. It’s not like boys sleep with girls, we put some things in a line, boys one side, girls one side. I’m so tired that I’m the first one lying down on the floor and the other boys follow. Suddenly, Hyuna walks pass the line hugging her pillow and stands in front of me.

“What’s wrong?” I was confused   

“She wants to sleep beside you, oppa” – Gayoon

“MWO?” the other boys was surprised

“Hyuna-ah, try to sleep with the girls once” Dongwoon told Hyuna as she looked quite sad

“No, it’s okay. It’s not the first time anyway. Here, lay down” I spoke moving aside to make space for her when seeing her about to go back

“What did you mean ‘not the first time’?” Doojoon seemed stunned

“Have you forgotten? I just have one bed. Where do you think Hyuna can sleep when she lives with me?” I raised my eyebrows while Hyuna was already lying beside me

“Ohhh~” I could hear the girls giggle together

“You two…Let’s sleep” Doojoon shook his head in disbelief

“Can’t sleep without me?” I faced her as she pouted

“Just kidding!! Good night, Hyuna-ah” I kissed her forehead before closing my eyes. Wait, did I just KISS her? What the hell did you do, Junhyung? She’s not your girlfriend.

When I’m trying to sleep, I feel her body move closer to me and her arm crosses around my waist. She’s still awake? I’m afraid that she’s looking at me so I don’t open my eyes to take a look but I move my arm and hug her as well. I fall asleep easily after that

“Auch” I woke up after there was a kick on my

I turn and see Doojoon still sleeping. Why do you always like kicking when you sleep, Doodoo? My sleep has been destroyed so I decide to take a walk since it’s still early in the morning. I want to get up but something’s blocking my arm and it’s Hyuna’s head. She’s still hugging me, her head even rests on my chest. I try to put her head down to the pillow again not waking her up but I fail. She opens her eyes slowly.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you up” I apologized as she just shook her head and sat up

Then she’s heading to the bathroom, rubbing her eyes and I go to another bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. When I come out, I hear noises from the kitchen

“What’re you doing? Breakfast?” she was taking some cookers out

“Want me to help? I can cut things” I joked and she laughed. I know she’s still sleepy but her smiling and sleepy face is so adorable.

She takes some vegetables for me to wash and cut while she cooks the seafood. Time passes really fast when you enjoy it. We’re chatting while making breakfast or you can say it’s only me who’s talking. Hyuna still can’t speak even I have taught her all words. She can speak each word separately but combine it? NO.

While all of us are eating, I notice Hyuna keep using her phone to talk with Gayoon. Gayoon keep nodding or shaking her head continuously. If you’re wondering how Hyuna uses her phone, it’s easy. She just texts or types the sentence she wants to express.

“Oppa” Gayoon called me out of sudden

“Yes?” I looked at her

“Can Hyuna stay here for few days?”

“Huh? Why? Something’s wrong?”

“Uhm, no. We want to chat about the past in primary school. Can she?”

“Uhm…Yeah…As long as she wants…” Are you dumb, Junhyung? As long as she wants?

“Really? Thanks, oppa” both Gayoon and Hyuna smiled to thank me. Stupid you, Junhyung.

“Uhh…” Hyuna cut her hand accidentally

“Are you…” I was stunned watching the scene

Hyunseung’s faster than me taking her hand and using a tissue to bandage the wound. Because the cut is deep so the blood is seen on the tissue right away. From the place I sit, I can see that she’s in pain because she’s grunting.

“Go with me. We need to cure it before it’s infected” Hyunseung held her wrist and pulled her to living room

“Hey, get rid of what you’re thinking right now” Doojoon approached me

“What do you mean?”

“I know you, Junhyung. He’s your bestfriend. He won’t steal your girl”

“What’re you talking about? I’m worried for her injure” I denied

“If so, my bad. But remember what I said, okay?” he patted my shoulders before turning back to his seat. Why can you always read my mind, Doojoon?
