“Oh, Junnie. Long time no see” the nanny greeted me

“Hi, nanny” I smiled

“I thought you couldn’t come to teach this week”

“Yes…I just want to give this to Hyuna…Is she…” I showed her the CD

“She’s in her room. Come”

“Thanks, nanny”

“Weird. Why did nanny look happy? Does she know Hyuna’s injured?” I thought on the way

When I just arrive the 2nd floor, Joe suddenly appears and runs to me.

“What? What’s wrong?” I startled because he was biting my jeans and pulling me with him

“Hyuna, what’re you doing? STOP!!” I rushed to Hyuna when I saw her keep using a pen stabbing into her legs and she was crying

“I said STOP. What do you think you’re doing?” I took the pen away from her

Blood is on her hands and legs. She sees me. She suddenly leans her head on my chest and cries harder. I don’t know what to do except hugging her.

“Everything is all right. I’m here. Don’t worry” I comforted her

Joe’s lowing his head down. So all of the wounds are from Hyuna. Why did she do that? I look around the room and see a first aid kit. She bandaged herself after this these days?

“Alright. Don’t cry. We should bandage your wound before you lose more blood” I used my thumbs cleaning her tears

I break the hug and come to take the first aid kit. This time, Hyuna allows me to bandage for her. She sits still when I’m doing. The old wounds haven’t healed yet and now they’re worse. What’re you trying to do, Hyuna? After I finish, Hyuna goes to sleep. It’s 9PM already. I suddenly remember Seungho hyung as I call him outside her room.

“Hi, hyung. Sorry for disturbing you at this time”

“It’s okay. I just finished my work. So what do you want to ask me?”

“Ah…Uhm…Is there any reason making people hurt themselves, hyung?”

“Hurt themselves?...Wait!! Are you talking about Hyuna?”

“Uhm…Yeah…Please tell me. I’ll find a way to stop her”

“People tend to do that when their souls are hurt. Hyuna has lost her mother and brother. She’s in pain but that wound can’t be cured by medicine. That’s why she hurts herself physically. She’s trying to make the wounds on her body more painful than on her soul”

“Oh…Is there anything I can do to help her?”

“Well…You should do something make her feel she’s not lonely. Especially, don’t let her stay alone. She may do something stupid”

“Oh, alright. Thanks, hyung”

“I should be the one who said that. Thanks for helping her, Junhyung”

“Ah, I have to go, hyung. Good night” I saw nanny come to me

“Good night” he hung up

“Junhyung, why is there blood on your shirt?” she looked terrified

“About that…”

“What? Young master…I didn’t know” she was shocked after I told her whole story

“I know, nanny. But from now on, can you sleep with her?” I suggested

“I…I can’t. I’m just a maid”

“But you have lived with her for years. It’s normal”

“Okay. I’ll try”

“Thanks, nanny”

“And you, you should change your shirt. There’s Byung’s shirt. You may fit. I’ll wash this for you” she requested as I did what she said

I check Hyuna before going home. She’s sleeping quietly. I put the CD on her table.

“Good night, Hyuna” I kissed her forehead. I won’t leave you again, Hyuna.

“Next time, you can call the nanny to stop Hyuna, Joe. Now go to sleep” I rubbed Joe’s head and left

“Phew…” I collapsed on my bed

It’s an exhausted Saturday. My parents told me to visit them but actually I had to do housework for them even they had maids. Today I haven’t checked Hyuna. I wonder…Suddenly, I hear noises of scratching from the door. I get up and walk to it

“Joe?...What’s wrong?” I bent down immediately when I saw his body was bleeding

For the answer, Joe runs away so I quickly lock the door and follow him. We come to a path near my house. From far, I can see a group of boys is surrounding a girl who is already on the groud. Like an instinct, I run to them as fast as I can knowing that girl is Hyuna.

“If you wasn’t stubborn, we could be more gentle…” one of them about to hit her but I stopped him in time

“What do you think you’re doing?” I held his wrist tightly

“Hyuna, are you okay?” I kneeled down and saw she was unconscious

“Look who’s here. Honor student of the school…We should ask you that question. We’re taking revenge…Why are you protecting her? Lover her?” another boy smirked

“Do you know you’ll get into big trouble if her father finds out?” I looked up

“WE DON’T CARE. Our families kicked us out. No money. No home. No future…Just because of her” he about to touch her hair as I smacked it away

“We give you two choices. One, go away. Two, try to become a hero” he suggested

“Well, this is what I chose” I stood up

{At my apartment}

I collapse on the floor after putting Hyuna on the bed. Bruises are all over face and some blood comes from my mouth. So I’m not a bad fighter after all. I laugh to myself because of that thought

“We should clean your wounds. Hyuna’s as well” I took out the first aid kit and some ice for my bruises

“Don’t move, okay?” I told Joe as he did

“Why do you have so much problems, Hyuna?” I was holding packets of ice for me and for her

I almost fall asleep but she suddenly grabs my hand making me startle. I notice she’s crying

“What’s wrong?” I asked Joe who was lying beside her as he took out a CD from her bag. Her friends gave it to me. Why she cried because of it?

I put it in my laptop and a song is played. Out of sudden, the door is opened and a group of black suit men enter my house. I’m surprised but I calm down when Mr.Jaehyun appears behind them

“So it’s true…You idiots” he glanced at Hyuna on the bed and slapped one of the black suit men as that guys wasn’t dare to move

“Sir, I’m sorry…” I about to apologize

“No, it’s me who said it. Thanks for saving my daughter...Why are you standing here? Take her…” Mr.Jaehyun stopped when a man voice came out from the CD

“Is that…” he stared at my laptop. Don’t tell me it’s Byunghyun’s voice?

“Ah…I…” I about to explain

“Destroy it. NOW. You. Bring her home” he looked angry. How could his mood change so quickly?

A black suit man takes the CD out of my laptop and about to break it but Hyuna suddenly wakes up and rushes to him. She takes it and hides behind me. When was she awake?

“What do you think you’re doing? You know you have to destroy it. Come out here and go home with me” Mr.Jaehyun commanded as I could feel Hyuna was shaking her head

Besides, I can sense that she’s too weak as she holds my shirt supporting her for standing

“Sir, can she…” I couldn’t finish my sentence

“Fine. Stay with him. They’ll bring your clothes and stuffs tomorrow…Let’s go” he left with his group not waiting for my response

Am I dreaming? Hyuna lives here with me? WHAT? How can this happen? I’m still in shocked zone. I turn back to normal state when Joe my hand.

“Are you hungry?” I chuckled when hearing noises from her stomach and she nodded in embarrassment

She sits back to the bed and looks at the CD touching it gently. I can see she’s depressed

“Hey, what do you want to eat? Ramen? Or fried rice? Or…That’s all. I just can cook two things” I rubbed my head as she laughed a little bit

“Want to help me?” I offered my hand and she grabbed it

We finish cooking and eating real quick. We even watch some programs on TV together. It’s hard to start a conversation when it comes to bed time.

“Uhm…You can sleep on the bed…I’ll sleep at the sofa…” even it was a couple bed but I didn’t want people think bad about Hyuna

She grabs my hand and forces me to sit on the bed. When does she become so strong?

“Alright…We can share…Joe’ll sleep between us. Remember if I touch you unknowingly, kick me hard, okay?” I held her wrist when she was on the way to the sofa and she nodded. Phew, so hard.

“Good night, Hyuna” I turned off the lights and my back was facing her because I still felt awkward

“Junnie-ah…Junnie” I opened my eyes slowly when someone was calling my name

“Humh?” my eyes was half-opened not remember what happened yesterday

“It’s 10A.M already and you’re still sleeping?” my mother was standing in front of me

“Because you made me work so hard yesterday, mom” I opened the door wider and walked to the fridge

“Why do you have a lot of luggages in your house? You want to change place?” I didn’t understand anything what she said so I ignored and took a sip of cold water

“Who cooked breakfast for you? Don’t say that you turned back to sleep after cooking?” she asked again but this time my eyes got widened realizing. Hyuna.

“Uhm…Taste good…When did you learn cooking, Junnie?” she tried the food

“Umma~…” I whined as the door was opened and Hyuna showed up with Joe

“What is she doing here?” my mother looked at me when pointing at Hyuna who was holding a packet

“Junnie…Why didn’t you answer me?” my mother asked again because I hadn’t responded

“Mom, go with me” I pulled her a little bit far from my apartment

“What? Why are we here? And what is that girl at your house? She even had your key” she complained again

“Mom…I know you’ll get shock but…She’ll stay with me from now on” I said slowly and I could see her eyes went bigger and bigger

“WHAT? NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT” she shooked her head continuously

“Mom, listen to me…”

“NO. NO. AND NO” she protested again

“MOM. Listen to me first…”

“She’s weird. Her mother left with a lover. Her father has a lot of enimies. She even has a huge dog. You shouldn’t relate anything to her, Junnie…” my mother cut me off again

“HER MOTHER DIED, MOM” I shouted as she stopped

“What did you say?” she didn’t believe me

“Her mother and brother died years ago. Please don’t say bad things about her anymore” I sighed

“How…” she was speechless

“They died on Hyuna and Byunghyun’s birthday. That’s why Hyuna turned into this, mom. Don’t hate her. Please~”

“I…But…”

“She has been lonely all these years since they died. I’m her only friend, mom. We can leave her like this right? That’s what you taught me. Help people when they need us…”

“Fine. I taught you a lot of things but why you just remember that?” she gave up

“Because it’s usefull” I laughed

“What if your father finds out? Her father as well. We’ll be in trouble…” Why does she has to ask so many questions at once?

“Slow down, umma. Don’t worry. Father’ll understand if you explain clearly. About her father, it’s him who chose it”

“Oh, alright. But why…”

“No more question, mom. I’m starving. We should head back” I stopped her in time as she gave me a glare

I'm very busy with a lot of homework these days so it's another fast-food chapter =.=
