Chanyeol/Xiumin
Hipster Exo Drabbles
Minseok’s fingers aren’t thin and elegant like Baekhyun’s, but they’re so much better, in Chanyeol’s opinion. Baekhyun’s fingers are cold and smooth as porcelain, whereas Minseok’s are slightly thicker, much warmer, and his skin is just a little dry.
But of course, Baekhyun has never touched Chanyeol the way Minseok does. Baekhyun maybe punches Chanyeol once in a while, or slaps his when he thinks he’s being funny, or maybe he reaches up and whispers in his ear, but it has never affected Chanyeol the same way as Minseok’s touches do.
Whenever he thinks about his boyfriend, he thinks about the first time he realized that he was totally in love with Minseok.
“Chanyeol,” Minseok had smiled, looking up at Chanyeol while they were at the airport. “You have something on your chin.” He had reached up and Chanyeol had bristled, anticipating the touch. He didn’t know why there was so much adrenaline rushing through his veins, but even so, when Minseok’s fingers made contact with Chanyeol’s neck, he smiled like a child who’d just been given a king-sized chocolate bar. And then Minseok moved his fingers in the slightest way and Chanyeol did his best not to gasp with excitement. Minseok had laughed, telling Chanyeol how silly he had looked, but Chanyeol couldn’t stop thinking about the warm fingers that had just grazed his throat, the fact that Minseok had touched him. And he wanted more than just a touch. He wanted more than kissing, more than —he wanted love.
And love was exactly what he got.
When they moved into the new dorm, Chanyeol and Minseok moved into the same room with Baekhyun and Kris, and that’s when Chanyeol confessed. They were alone in the room, and Minseok was unpacking towels and washcloths from a box. Chanyeol turned to him.
“Minseok-hyung, I…” he started. Minseok stopped unpacking and looked up, his big eyes shining up at Chanyeol.
“What is it?” Minseok asked, turning around entirely to face Chanyeol. “Are you alright?”
“I like you,” he said quietly. “I mean, I really like you.”
Minseok turned bright pink, and Chanyeol couldn’t turn away. Minseok’s pink cheeks clashed horribly with his orange hair, but Chanyeol liked how it looked. Minseok was really cute.
“Really?” Minseok squeaked. “Are you sure, or—”
“No, I’m sure,” Chanyeol took in a deep breath. “I’m positive. I like you, Hyung. But—but you don’t have to say anything now! I mean, you don’t have to accept my feelings, don’t feel pressured or anything, it’s just…we can go back to being friends, I don’t want this to change—”
And suddenly Minseok’s hands (his warm, perfect, soft hands) were around Chanyeol’s waist, and Minseok was smiling up at him.
“Okay. I like you too,” Minseok replied with a rosy face.
And that’s how they end up awakening next to each other this morning. Kris and Baekhyun are still fast asleep in their respective beds (they both have the bottom bunks), but Minseok is so small that he fits perfectly in Chanyeol’s arms as they wake up in Chanyeol’s bed.
Chanyeol presses a kiss to each of Minseok’s cheeks (which are thinner now that they’re having their comeback, but that’s okay), and finally Minseok’s eyelids flutter open.
“Good morning,” Chanyeol whispers, and Minseok lets out a little laugh.
“Good morning,” he replies, cupping his boyfriend’s face in his warm, perfect hands, and he reaches up to kiss his lips. Minseok’s always warm. Chanyeol loves that. “I love you, Chanyeol.”
“I love you too,” he replies. “A lot.”
So little interaction for such a cute couple. I'm a fan of this one <3
