"Jo Soomin! Jo Hyomin! I'm going to catch you!" she played along and pretended to chase them. I watched my family play around happily in our lounge room, and the happiness seemed like it would never leave.

I smiled, thinking back to those days when I was still a young man.

Now I'm a mid-aged man in my 50's, sitting in a comfy sofa, reading a nice book. The smell from the kitchen made me puff up my cheeks, I couldn't wait.

"Yeobo~ Ja-jang!" she presented the caramel mousse infront of me. I my lips.

"Here!" she gave me a spoon and sat down next to me. We both enjoyed the mousse together.

"I love it, you're so good at cooking." I complimented as she just smiled, eating carefully

Her eyes glances over at our row of photo frames on top of the fireplace.

"You miss them right?" I put my hand on top of hers as she slowly nodded

"Do you remember, Youngmin? 25 years ago we gave birth to two cute, cheerful and playful twins. One girl and one boy. 25 years later, they've both grown up and have found their own partners. I just... miss the times when we were all together." she sighed and I gave her a gentle smile

"Hey, we are together. They still visit often and we, I mean you, cook food for them often. And besides, we should be thankful that they've found partners. We were this young when we got married right? I think it's... *blush* sweet. Also, if any of them have children at this age like we did, we'll have grandchildren, and we're only in our 50's. Lucky us. You want grandchildren, right?" I smiled as she put down her mousse and sat closer to me. I hugged her and patted her back softly, breathing in every moment we shared. She nodded.

"Of course. It would be very sweet. Yeobo..."

"Hmm?"

"Thankyou. For giving me all this. None of this would be possible without you, and... everything we've been through. Thankyou for 32 years ago, when you were 18. I love that time, I smile everytime I think of it." she wrapped her arms around me tighter as I almost scoffed

"Hey, I still look as good okay. Not much difference... tut tut" I shook my pointer finger as she wacked it away

"Yah, you need to stop that. It's a bad influence on our children, no wonder Hyomin likes to show off at school like you. Heh." she teased as I pouted

"Hey, he doesn't like to show off. He just gets too much attention, that's the price you pay for good looks." I put my fingers on my chin as I smirked

"Whatever." she got up to take the plates back

"H-hey, I'm not d-"

She didn't let me finish talking and stuck out her tongue, walking back into the kitchen

I sighed and went back to reading my book

After a few minutes the phone rang

"Yoboseyo?" I picked up

"Appa." I heard Soomin's voice and my face lit up

"Oh! Soomin-ah. How are you?" I replied as you walked towards me

"Can... I talk to eomma?" she asked as I handed the phone to her

"She wants to talk to you." I said and you stuck out her tongue

"Of course." she said as she put the phone to her hair

"Oh! Soomin-ah..waeyo?" she said loudly. I looked away trying to protect my ears

"MWORAGO (what did you say)???" she screamed as I squeezed my eyes, her voice was unbelievable loud

"What is it?" I asked her as I shook my head lightly

Her eyes were wide as she faced me

"S-Soomin's... pregnant." she told me as I closed my book

"J-Jinjja?" I stood up and she nodded, smiles forming on our faces

"Oh, okay. Make sure you take care, okay? Congratulations my lovely daughter." they both said goodbye and hanged up the phone

One second later you jumped into my arms, celebrating

"We're going to be grandparents! Youngmin-ah, did you hear? We're going to be grandparents!" she cheered as if she was still 20

I nodded and just smiled

"Mmm, you're happy now right?" I said as I put my hands on her shoulder

"Of course! But, I need to prepare!" she said, suddenly thinking at light-speed

"Prepare what?"

"You know!? Food! Clothes! Toys! A spare room! Beds! Blankets! Baby chairs! Baby utensils! Baby things!" she blurt out as I mentally face-palmed myself

"Yah, yeobo. Calm down. Soomin and our son-in-law can sort all those out. All you have to do as a grandmother is look after and care for their children if ever needed, got it?" I patted her head as she nodded, almost disappointed

"Come on, we already had our turn in being parents, now it's our children's turn." I said as I sat back down

"Oh yeah! Hyomin's wife still hasn't had children either! So we'll have double grandchildren!" she clapped happily as I rolled my eyes while chuckling, never seeing the end of this

"Youngmin-ah, how cool would it be if Soomin had twins? Think about it, your eomma had twins, 2 boys right?" she did a peace sign

"Right..."

"And we had two twins. 1 girl and 1 boy."

"Mhmm. And?"

"So if Soomin had two twins and Hyomin has two twins. One pair of twins might be two girls, and the other 1 girl and 1 boy again. So they'll only be 1 boy out of 4 grandchildren! No no, I hope Soomin has 2 girls and Hyomin has 2 boys." she shook her head

"But then Soomin's husband will be the only male in a family of 4 and Hyomin's wife will be the only female in a family of 4." I pointed out, though she totally ignored me

"Maybe Soomin should just have one girl and Hyomin one boy. How cool would it be if they looked alike? Ehe!" she mumbled to herself. I just shook my head

Months later

you and I waited outside the hospital room for the good news. you couldn't keep still and neither could Soomin's husband. They were both so nervous, or maybe I was being too calm? Hmm...

The sliding doors opened and a nurse came out with a baby in her arms, wrapped in a blanket. Soomin's husband held... her.

"Congratulations, it's a baby girl." the nurse said as we all crowded around the new-born, sleeping baby. The quiet atmosphere brought peace everywhere and we asked to visit Soomin inside.

Years later.

Celebrating the new year, our whole family got together and had a huge feast. Yes, cooked by you, obviously.

There was you, me, Soomin, Soomin's husband, Hyomin, Hyomin's wife, Soomin's little daughter and Hyomin's little son.

Yes, coincidence right? Hyomin's wife was pregnant the same time as Soomin was, and we didn't even know. Heh, kids...

And apparently they both gave birth on the same day. I heard Hyomin's little boy was born... 6 minutes after Soomin's daughter.

Sounds familiar right? Keke~

I walked quietly into the kitchen and hugged you from behind as I felt her smile.

"Come out for a second." I said and hugged her out of the kitchen and stopped right infront of the door to our verandah and backyard. Sitting on the seats in the verandah was our children and in-laws, and playing in our backyard was our two cute grandchildren. Born on the same day, they're close enough to twins you could get, right? I mean, born on the same day, born from parents who are both twins, born the same time apart as their grandparents, who are also twins. Heh, family is confusing, not even to mention Kwangmin's side of the family.

Thinking of Kwangmin, he should be arriving any time soon.

I hugged you tightly and kissed her on the cheek as she blushed. She always did.

"G-Gomawo." she said again as our eyes met. Her eyes were still as shiny as they always were

"For?" I smiled

"For..." she looked straight ahead where all of our children could be seen, rubbing my hand

"For... all this." she smiled as I nodded

For just this moment, I really felt the love and warmth that family gave. I really did.

Then the doorbell rang, yes. I slowly smirked and rushed to my bedroom to get something as you went go open the door.

"Oh! Kwangmin! Annyeonghaseyo, please, all of you come in." she let them in. All of them. All, as in: Kwangmin and his wife, their children and grandchildren too.

After I put on my prepared wig I quickly greeted all of Kwangmin's family, recieving confused faces from the little ones, grabbed Kwangmin's wrist and took him outside to our backyard.

"Children!" I called as my two grandchildren ran to... us.

"Haraboji!" they called excitedly, then stopped in their steps, blinking

I smiled and bent down, pulling Kwangmin down next to me

"Which one of us is your grandfather?" we both said at the same time, putting our hands under our chins.

I heard my wife and children laugh at us, but ehh. The confusion on the children's faces were priceless.
