As if I’d used it many times before. I wielded it perfectly, striking the air with a whistle

I smiled, running around the field, slicing the air with glee, a new feeling of happiness and fun rushing through my system. I stopped short when I heard rustling behind me, immediately on the defensive, pointing the scythe towards who entered the field, relaxing when I realized it was Hyun Ki, Tae Il, Jiho, and Ace. We all wore the same thing except  they didn’t wear the bra, Hyun Ki’s was blue with a clear tint to his armor, Tae Il’s was dark brown with a rugged clay like look to his armor, Jiho was red with the appearance of flames the skin. And then there was Yong Guk’s. Yong Guk’s was exactly like mine, minus the bra. It had the same color scheme, same look, same everything.

His hair was down to his shoulders and was white, straight with thin streaks of every color in the rainbow like mine. He had white streaks like mine across his skin, two on each cheek. Like me.

Yong Guk stopped short when he saw me, his topaz eyes widening. The field was silent before Hyun Ki spoke up, clearing his throat.

“Can you talk Vita- I mean, Equinox?”

I looked up at him, opening my mouth, hesitant about what would happen. I took a deep breathe, facing them.

“Ahhhhhh~ Oh! I can!”

I looked up at them bewildered, frozen before realizing that I could talk. After ten years of silence. I could talk!

I screamed, clapping my hands in glee and wonder, jumping up and down, forgetting my scythe that I held, and rushing over to Hyun Ki and Tae Il, jumping into their open arms. They screamed and jumped along with me. I pulled back to launch myself into Jiho’s arms, glad he’d brought me here in the first place. I pulled back, bowing repeatedly.

“Wait a minute. Jiho, didn’t you say Isadora is like Earth? How so?”

“It’s everything like Earth really, except people bend the elements and animals of all types roam free.”

“Is it as advanced as Earth?”

“Yeah.”

“Then why are we wearing this armor? It looks stupid and I look like a stripper.”

“Calm down Equinox, I got this. I’ll go out with Hyun Ki and Tae Il to get clothes and we’ll take something that’ll fit you.”

“Why are you going to leave Ace and I?”

“Because I don’t want people to recognize you both as Yin and Yang. will hit  the fan.”

“Fine.”

I huffed, crossing my arms as I watched the three of them leave, abandoning Yong Guk and I. Silence slowly seeped in as we stood across the field, looking at each other. I looked over his handsomeness once more before snapping out of it, walking over to the lake, sitting down like an awkward penguin, taking off the armored boots, tearing the hem of the tights so that they were ragged boy shorts, dipping my feet into the cool crystal clear water, amazed as brightly colored fish emerged from the ground, nibbling at the underside of my foot. I giggled at their curiosity, sticking a finger in. a small bright orange fish swimming its way up to my finger, its mouth fastening on the tip. A bright rainbow colored guppy following suit, their mouths tickling my finger. I shivered, pulling back, watching as they suddenly peeled off my skin, rushing back into the depths of the water
“Oh my god. Equinox. Don’t. Move. An. Inch.”

“But Wh-“

“Umjig-I jima!”

Don’t ing move!

I instantly froze from the intensity in his voice, fear bleeding into my skin. That’s when I felt it. Breathing. Heavy breathing. Whoever was breathing on me was very big. I turned a few inches, my peripheral vision catching onto something large, black and white, with icy blue eyes. It was a prince tiger.

A prince tiger was right behind me breathing down my neck.

“Don’t panic.”
