Dream

Reconciled concert (repost)
Jaebin’s POV

I felt a drop of tear on my forehead. Looking up, I saw tears in Jaejoong’s eyes. He was crying. I hugged him tighter. “Sorry Jaejoong ah. Yoochun oppa’s death brought so much pain to my family and Yoochun is so important to me. I didn’t mean to hurt you more…” I sobbed. Jaejoong hugged me back tighter. “Yoochun will forever be in our hearts…” He my hair before we pulled apart and he wiped away my tears.

“Eat a little. Yoochun won’t like seeing you skipping meals.” I gave him a faint smile before taking a few bites of the porridge he made and stopped eating. I really didn’t have the appetite. “I’m going to bed.” I said before turning around going back to my room. I really need to be alone now. I cannot even face Jaejoong.

End of Jaebin’s POV

No one’s POV

For the next 2 days, the Park mansion was quiet. No one came out of their rooms. Food left on the dining tables untouched. The only movements in the house were the maids and butlers going around cleaning the house. None of them dare to mention anything about their deceased young master.

The first day, Junsu and Taeyeon came by to visit, but Mr. and Mrs. Park declined seeing anyone, including Jaebin. Jaebin wanted to be alone as well so Butler Kim guided them to Jaejoong’s room. Taeyeon comforted Jaejoong since he was indeed upset. “Jaejoong ah, what happened? It’s so sudden.” Junsu said since he only got the news Yoochun passed away but he didn’t know what happened exactly.

“It was an accident. A truck banged Yoochun’s car. The driver was drunk. The impact on Yoochun was so huge that he barely made it to the hospital alive. However, the doctors did the best they could but Yoochun’s situation was worse than expected.” Jaejoong explained. Taeyeon pat Jaejoong’s shoulder knowing how terrible he felt and he had to go through the whole situation again.

“Yoochun was such a good guy. Why did this happen to him?” Junsu sat down on the couch, his hands grabbing his hair. Everyone was feeling terrible. The atmosphere in the Park mansion was cold. Very cold.

The day of the funeral.

Mrs. Park couldn’t stop crying seeing Yoochun’s picture. Mr. Park was standing beside her trying to calm her down. Jaebin on the other hand was rather calm. She just sat at the side, staring into space. She wore a white hangbok. From what Jaejoong knew, Yoochun has admired the Hangbok from young. He told me he wanted to design the world’s most beautiful hangbok for his sister. Jaejoong don’t know if he’s done it but it’s no longer important.

Seulgi was nowhere to be found. Even before the funeral started, she was not there. Before the funeral ended, everyone gave Yoochun a stalk of white rose. However, there was one flower which caught everyone’s attention. It was a sunflower. The last flower placed in Yoochun’s Coffin was a sunflower. The person who place it there was none other than Seulgi. “Yoochun, it’s a promise. Our promise.” She said before everyone went back to their seats while Seulgi sat beside Jaebin.

Everyone left the place other than the Park family, Jaejoong and Seulgi. Jaebin took one last look at Yoochun before leaving with Jaejoong tailing behind her. She couldn’t bear to look at Yoochun getting buried. She knows she will never get over this in a short period of time. Yoochun has been Jaebin’s one and only support ever since.

Jaejoong drove her home but she had wanted to go elsewhere. “Bring me to the park.” Jaejoong brought here there, not knowing what she wanted to do. She walked to the bench and took a seat, patting the seat beside her, asking Jaejoong to take a seat. “I’m quitting ballet forever.” It came out of as if it was not an important decision. “Why?” this has shocked Jaejoong. He knew Ballet was Jaebin’s life.

“My motivation for Ballet had always came from Yoochun oppa. He would motivate me by saying ‘if you do well I’ll make you a dress.’ Yoochun Oppa was why I could stay in the Ballet world for so long. If it wasn’t for him I won’t have lasted for so long.” Jaebin said as she looked beyond the lake. She held back her teas. She know she couldn’t keep crying when Yoochun was mentioned. She has to start accepting the Far her beloved Yoochun Oppa is gone.

“But Yoochun wouldn’t want you to quit. He know how much you loved it.” Jaejoong tried persuading her. “That’s right, Yoochun doesn’t want to see you giving up your dreams because of him.” There came another voice from behind them. It was Seulgi. “I promised your Oppa that when he moved on in life, I would take care of his family. Especially you. We all know out of the whole family, he can’t leave you the most. “Seulgi took a seat on the other empty space beside Jaebin.

“I cannot bear to compete anymore. I just want to have a more peaceful life. I’m thinking of teaching ballet. I don’t want to stress myself out because of ballet anymore. Without Oppa, there’s no point.” Jaebin gave a sad smile. “But you can’t leave just like that. “ Jaejoong tried persuading her but it all didn’t work. “M mind’s made p. nothing can change my decision. Not even Yoochun Oppa. I’m going to hold a personal concert and it will all be dedicated to Yoochun oppa.” With that, she stood up, leaving Jaejoong and Seulgi.

“I have t also be strong for Yoochun.” Seulgi said before taking her leave as well. Jaejoong headed back to the car to see Jaebin already at the passenger’s seat, waiting for Jaejoong. “Have you told your parents about your decision?” Jaejoong asked since he knew Jaebin was not sleep. She was just shutting her eyes to rest. “I will when everything is back to normal. I cannot give my parents another huge impact. Omma won’t be able to take it.” With her eyes still closed, Jaebin answered Jaejoong. “I’ll support your decision.” Jaejoong said as he pulled up in the Park mansion’s parking lot.

Jaebin’s POV

I headed upstairs. Instead of going to my own room, I went into Yoochun Oppa’s room. It was as if he was still alive. The fresh smell of his cologne still lingered the room. His design sheets were all over his bed. I traced my fingers at the rim of his bed and table. In days to come, Yoochun’s smell will disappear from this earth. I sat on his bed hugging his pillow, inhaling his scent. “Oppa, I’ll miss you.” I said, my voice all shaky.

I have to be strong. Yoochun Oppa won’t want to see me like that. I cannot rely on others anymore. Last time I had Oppa, but now, he’s gone and I have to be independent. I cannot keep relying on Jaejoong because he may leave me like how Donghae did. So I have to be strong. Yoochun would like that. I know he will. Taking a last look at his room, “Goodbye Yoochun Oppa.” With that, I turned into my own room. Hanging on the clothes rack was Yoochun’s favourite Jacket. I remember how I always fight with him for it. Since I know how he loves it, I would always snatch it away from him a day after he wore it. He would always scold me for it and try to snatch it back, but I always win since Omma always asked him to give in to me.

Walking towards it, I took it off the rack and put it on. “I’ll have no chance to snatch it with him anymore.” I murmured to myself. I sighed before taking it off, hanging it on where it belonged before heading to shower.

Before heading to sleep, I told myself. “Tomorrow would be a head start where I’ll be independent.” With that, I headed to bed. Blocking every thought I had and feel asleep…

In the middle of the night I jolt up, dreaming about something I never thought I would. Hugging my big white teddy bear, I got off bed and went down the hallway to the room beside Yoochun’s room. I opened the door to find the lights still coming from inside the room. Sitting on the window sill was Jaejoong. “Oh Jaebin ah. What brings you here so late at night?” I went under the covers while Jaejoong came to my side. “I dreamt of Yoochun.” I said and Jaejoong had a shocked expression written on his face.

“He told me to live my dream. No matter what it is. Whether I was going to quit ballet forever or pursue something else. He said he’ll support me forever and be on my side. Asking me to not feel sad because he left. He had asked me to live my life fully and not let him down. ”

End of Jaebin’s POV

Jaejoong’s POV

I couldn’t sleep and it was already 2am in the morning. The door creaked opened and I got shocked. It was Jaebin. She wasn’t asleep yet. She crawled onto my bed while I was sitting at the window sill. I sat on the other side of the bed asking her what had happened since it was wee hours in the morning.

She had dreamt of Yoochun. She wasn’t at all flustered or sad. She seemed rather calm. “Jaebin ah, just follow your heart. “ Was all I said. Since she was insistent on her decision, the only thing she could do now is to follow her heart. “Thank you so much Jae.” She smiled. Her first genuine smile after so long. “Welcome. Come on. Go to bed. You’ll be tired tomorrow if you don’t.” I tucked her in before turning off the lights before I myself drifted off into deep slumber.

The next morning, I woke up by a very had shake. I opened my eyes to see Jaebin smile at me, “Wakey Wakey!” It was weird since she was so happy. She pushed me into the bathroom to wash up before dragging me downstairs for breakfast. Everyone in the house looked at her weirdly. Butler Kim and the maids gave her a very unusual look. Mr. Park just started at her before going back to his paper. “Where’s Omma?” She asked Mr. Park as she sat down, scooping herself a bowl of porridge. “Your Omma’s not feeling well.” He said with his eyes still fixed on the morning papers.

Mr. Park left a while later, saying he has to get back to work since he hasn’t gone back for a few days. Before Mr. Park left, Jaebin spoke up. “Appa, I want to hold my own concert.” Mr. Park turned and looked at her. “Alright. I’ll support you, my daughter.” He gave a wear smile before heading to work. After breakfast, Jaebin dragged me back to my room. “Get changed we’re going somewhere.” With that she headed to her own room. I thought it was weird since she recovered a little too quickly, since Yoochun is her closest family member. I drove that day. “Jaebin ah…” I started to conversation. “Hm?” She looked at me. “Are you really alright?” I asked her. I myself still can’t get over the grief don’t say about her. “I’m fine. Yoochun Oppa told me to not be sad and live my life fully. That’s what I’m doing. I know Yoochun won’t want me sad. No matter how upset I am, I have to cheer myself up. I know no matter how hard I grief over Yoochun Oppa, He’ll never come back.” She looked down with a sad smile.

“I’m sorry Jaebin ah.” She looked at me giving me a small smile. “it’s alright. Everyone has to get over this. It’s just how much time each person need.” She said while I continued driving…
