Chapter 9~I Like You

"Never Let The Fear Of Striking Out, Keep You From Playing The Game!"

“Let go –pause- please.” I managed to say whilst being stuck in the uncomfortable position of Jonghyun’s embrace.

He didn’t say anything, so I expected him to let me go. Instead, I felt his hot breath on my skin as he nuzzled his face into my neck.

He took in a deep breath, “Mmmm, you smell nice.”

His words sent shivers down my spine, but not in pleasure, in fear. I struggled but managed to get out of his strong arms. I limped back to Cho Hee since I was done setting the table, but mostly just to get away from Jonghyun.

“Done already?” Cho Hee asked.

“Yeah.” I laughed nervously.

A little while passed while the food was cooking before I heard the loud conversations erupting from the living room. Curiously, I walked to the living room, my ankle feeling a little less strained, to see five boys sitting on the couch laughing. I recognized two faces. Jonghyun, who I already knew was here, and Taemin. My eyes nearly bugged out of my head when I saw Taemin’s smiling face chatting happily with Jonghyun. The tension between them seemed to disappear as if nothing happened.

Boys. I shook my head.

Just as I was about to walk back to the kitchen, Taemin’s soft voice spoke my name, “Hwa Young-ah? What are you doing here?”

I didn’t turn around, but instead froze, unsure of what to do, and replied, “Cho Hee invited me to stay over, so I accepted.”

I rushed to my bedroom before he could ask any more questions, shut my door, and started talking to myself out loud without realizing it.

“Pabo, why did he have to show up? After everything that happened…I’m such a fool! Pabo, pabo, pabo.” I smacked my forehead with my palm in anger.

I was so busy lecturing myself that I didn’t notice someone walk into my room.

“Hwa Young-ah…”

I jumped at Taemin’s quiet yet strong voice.

“Y-yes Taemin?” I stuttered nervously.

“Tell me the real reason why you’re here. Please.” With every word, he closed the space between us, step by step.

I backed up until I hit the cold, hard wall.

“I wasn’t lying, Taemin.” My voice was quiet, and I avoided looking at him.

He slammed his arms against the wall on either side of me, making me jump. My eyes traveled to his face, as he gently my cheek.

“Tell me.” He demanded, growling with a low voice.

His face was just inches from mine when I nervously replied, F-fine. My mom k-kicked me out, and I n-needed a p-place to stay.”

His face got closer to mine until our noses were touching, “You could have asked to stay at my place.”

“I k-know.” My cheeks were probably flushed.

He chuckled and leaned down by my ear whispering, “I like you.”

Before I could respond, his warm soft lips crashed onto mine. After a few seconds, my body’s urge to kiss him back dominated. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. His arms, which had me trapped against the wall, moved down to my hips as he pressed his fit body against mine. His rock-hard chest was smashed against mine, pushing me up against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist, and he my lips, asking for entrance, which I instantly granted. His tongue explored my mouth until my tongue started a tug-of-war with his. My hands tangled in his hair, and I could feel his, *ahem* ‘friend’, getting aroused. We both pulled away to catch our breath, but within a nanosecond, his lips were back on mine, and he carried us to the bed. He sat me down, his hands roamed all over my heated body, and went under my shirt, causing me to tense up.

Geez, what happened to innocent Taemin?

He noticed and laid me down, leaning over me. He pulled away, but kept his face close to mine. He gently my cheek again, looking deep into my eyes. His tangled hair and hungry eyes were tempting, but I knew my own limits.

“I’m not ready.” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

He smiled in understanding, “I know. It’s okay, I can wait.”

He leaned in and planted a soft kiss on my lips, but pulled away quickly, leaving me wanting more.

“I should probably go back to the kitchen, I originally came to tell you that dinner’s almost ready. See you out there.”

He smirked and walked towards the door, but turned around before leaving and said in a sincere voice, “I meant what I said earlier, I really like you. And the offer still stands.”

What offer? I thought to myself as I heard the door shut, leaving me alone and confused.

I touched my lips, with the taste of his kiss still there. My body, especially my stomach and hips, burned with the lingering sensation of his touch. I laid down in my bed, and closed my eyes getting lost in my thoughts.

I could no longer lie to myself, I like you too Taemin, I like you too.

There's more action to come into play later on in the story, and Taemin will be much more important in the next chapter! It will get more romantic and hopefully less sad in the next few chapters. :3
