Shin Hye’s POV

It’s been two days since Hyun Joong proposed to me. I’m not really sure if I made the right decision of turning his proposal down, for now. I just wanted to be sure if my heart already belongs to him… only him. I’m not the type of person who rushes things. I don’t want to make a hasty decision that I will regret later.

I’ve been trying to contact him but he’s not answering any of my calls nor texts. He’s probably already outside the country for his concert and album promotions. Maybe he’s just busy… maybe not. Was he hurt? Definitely. I can feel it.

“Shin Hye-ya! You have a visitor here!” Eomma entered my room without knocking at my door.

Who could it be?! It’s just eight in the morning… too early to entertain visitors.

“Arasseo. I’ll go downstairs in a while. I’ll just brush my teeth and wash my face.”

I quickly headed to my CR to fix myself. It took me a couple of minutes but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t enough to make my visitor pissed for being impatiently waiting for me. It’s his, or her, fault. He, or she, should have come later.

“Good morning Shin Hye-ya!”

It was Yong Hwa, with a jar of Nutella in his hand. Perfect match for bread in the morning. He’s really my best friend. He just knew me too well. I quickly snatched the Nutella away from him. It was our favorite. We even eat it without bread.

“We’ve got the same taste Yong! Gomawo!”

“Hey! I’m not giving it to you. I just wanted to share it.”

He looked kind of pissed. But I knew he was just faking it. Yong Hwa is not a guy who easily gets mad for small reasons. Before I could protest, he already let out a laugh.

“I’m just kidding, Shin Hye-ya. Of course you can have it.”

“By the way, where is So Min?”

“She’s erhmm… not here in Seoul… not in Korea, actually.”

“Waeyo?”

“Well, she’s currently on for a student exchange program in the Philippines. You know her. So Min is such an outstanding student that’s why the school made her the delegate for that program.”

“Wow! She’s really doing great! I couldn’t believe she’s already in her master’s degree. How about you, Yong? Aren’t you planning to have a graduate degree?”

“I uh… haven’t really thought about that. I’m not really sure if I still wanted to study. I’m already having fun in what I’m doing now, performing in fancy bars and hotel lounges, just having gigs here and there.”

Instead of sitting down in the dining area, Yong Hwa and I went to the sofa’s living room to watch TV while they are both having their sandwiches. When I the TV, I was surprised of what I saw, so was Yong Hwa. It was Hyun Joong in an ambush interview before he set off for his flight.

“Hyun Joong-ssi, I heard that you’re already dating someone now, and interestingly, according to our sources, she is from showbiz.”

They suddenly showed the CF of Dynamic Kin which we both endorse. I didn’t know how it came out so fast, the fact that we already shoot it the day we returned from China.

“Is it true that you are dating Park Shin Hye?”

“We’re uhmm… in this stage where we want to get to know each other first. What’s certain is that she’s one special girl to me.”

“So, what’s the real score between you and the most sought-after model in Korea?”

“Nothing has been official yet between the two of us.”

I turned off the TV as soon as he finished his sentence. Good thing my parents are having tea in the garden so they weren’t able to watch it.

 I feel really disgusted right now. What did he mean by ’nothing has been official yet’?! I already introduced him to my family and friends! He’s unbelievable. He just proposed to me and now he tells everyone that we’re not YET together. I know he’s still hurting but… If this is because I turned him down, then he just proved to me that my decision was right.

“Gwaenchanha, Shin Hye-ya?” Yong Hwa looked really worried for me. I wanted to lie to him that I’m fine but I know he will just blow my cover.

Yong Hwa’s POV

“If Hyun Joong were here, I swear I’m gonna break his teeth into pieces! How can he hurt Shin Hye!?”

Those were the things that are running in my head right now. I wanted to yell at the TV, but all I did was sit there and watch her reaction. Blurting out what’s on my mind will do nothing good to her. It will probably just make things worse.

“Gwaenchanha, Shin Hye-ya?”

How stupid of me to ask that? HELLO! I know she’s not ok. And she also knew that I won’t buy the idea of telling me that she’s alright. She looked at me, with somber in her eyes.

“Yong, take me somewhere else.”

My eyes suddenly became wide open. Shin Hye is really unpredictable, in a positive way. And that’s what I like about her.

“Are you sure?”

She stood up and had some stretching, and smiled.

“I’m bored. Take me somewhere else. Surprise me Yong Hwa-ya!”

She threw her car keys to me, like it’s a baseball.

“Ya Randy Shin Hye!” I smirked as I catch it.

“Eomma, Appa, Yong and I will be out for a while! I’ll be back later.”

“Ok. Be safe. I know Yong Hwa can take care of you.”

We bowed down before we went out of the door. We headed to her white Lamborghini. As usual, I’m on the driver’s seat. Funny as it may sound but Shin Hye still doesn’t know much about driving yet she bought this ostentatious car.

“So, where are you planning to take me?”

“Just wait and see.”

Somehow, she already seemed to forget what we saw on TV earlier. She looked like a child excited to go to an amusement park, and I’m happy I was able to lessen her worries.

I know you have your own reasons, or maybe you just want to be a silent reader, and I respect that. I’m just really thankful to all those who are still reading this fic. I’m really trying my very best so as not to disappoint you, chingus. I’m actually planning to change the whole story from the start because I’m kinda worried that it’s getting dragging and predictable. What do you think?
