Better Late than Never
Min Ho, Min Young and Shin Hye went together at the bar. It was a fancy bar, indeed. A person needs a membership for him/her to be able to go inside so not all people can just go there. Since Min Ho is his cousin and he owns 20% of it, he is able to bring his friends easily. Min Young and Min Ho are busy flirting with each other so Shin Hye was kinda left out. Suddenly he felt a pair of hands in her eyes.
“I can’t see! Who’s this?!”
“Guess who.” Immediately after the guy spoke, Shin Hye was startled and was able to remove his hands.
“Hong Ki-ya!”
“Shin Hye-ya!” Hong Ki gave her a back hug for it’s been a long time since she last saw her friend.
“Ya! I can’t breathe Hong Ki!” She slightly pushed him away, but she was really happy to see him.
Shin Hye and Hong Ki are childhood friends and grade school classmates but his family migrated to the States for awhile because they have a family business to attend there. She only knew that he and Min Ho are cousins when he already went back to Korea to stay for good.
“Long time no see Shin Hye!” She slightly hit her friend’s back.
“You’re still the same sadistic Shin Hye I know. Kekeke. I’m really happy to see you!”
“Me too, Hong Ki-ya!”

Yong Hwa was feeling uneasy because he had talked to Min Ho over the phone earlier and that he’s bringing company.
Flashback.
“How’s your date? Did anything happen?”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Have you already told her about your feelings?”
“Aniya! I don’t think this is the right time.”
“Then when is it? That’s what you always say! Maybe that’s the reason why she fell for Hyun Joong. He told her straight that he likes her, unlike YOU. I’m sure Shin Hye doesn’t want a guy who doesn’t have the guts to fight for his feelings…”
“We KISSED.”
“MWO?!”
“You heard me.”
“And then??”
“She told me to forget about it.”
“Aish! I don’t know what to do with you two! Anyway, we’ll be watching your performance later.”
“WE?! Who’s that ‘we’ you’re talkin’ about?”

“Because… well… so that you will be able to feel the song more! I’m just giving you some tips!”

Min Ho hung up first.
End of flashback.
“Gwaenchanha, hyung?” the drummer was worried for him.
“Ah, ne. I’m fine Min Hyuk.”
“You look so tensed. Is something bothering you, Yong?” Jong Hyun, the guitarist and vocalist aside from Yong Hwa, also observed his actions.
“Don’t mind me. I’m ok. Really. It’s just that… my friends are coming over to watch us.”
“Jinja? Geureom, we should do our best, hyung! Is Shin Hye eonni here?! I really want to meet her!”
Jung Shin, and the other bandmates, also knew about his feelings for Shin Hye. They already knew that she is the reason if Yong Hwa seemed to act strange. He’ll talk about her during their band rehearsals and the three will be listening. They are also a fan of Shin Hye. Aside from the Glitterati, Yong Hwa has also made friends with Jong Hyun, Jung Shin and Min Hyuk since they are all classmates in college with the same course, Applied Music. Together, they formed a band named ‘Azul’.
It was their turn to perform. Girls in the front row are screaming and giggling when the four came out of the stage. His eyes are searching someone from the crowd.

Min Ho and Min Young gave him an encouraging gesture “Hwaiting!” to cheer him up. Shin Hye was there doing the same thing. She wears a big smile on her face.
He let out a sigh before holding the mic.

When the audience noticed that his eyes are only looking at one place, they were all shocked to see who it was, no other than Shin Hye, the celebrity. They felt giddy at Yong Hwa’s gestures to her. She was intently listening to his song, every line, every word, as if he composed the song for her.
Are you telling me what you feel Yong Hwa-ya? You’re getting me really confused right now.
“Omo! Isn’t that the model goddess, Park Shin Hye?! She and Yong Hwa oppa look good together! If ever they’re gonna have a fans club, I’ll definitely join them!”
Hong Ki went to the stage and stole the mic from Yong Hwa, in a good way.
“That was a heartfelt performance Yong Hwa-ya! Gamsahamnida! By the way, we got a visitor here! Hello Miss Park Shin Hye!”
She was kinda embarrassed at what Hong Ki did. Surely, he’s not gonna end it like that.
“Shin Hye-ya, can you please sing us a song?”
The crowd is cheering for her madly. “Shin Hye! Shin Hye! Shin Hye!”
She didn’t have a choice. She stood up and went straight to the stage and gives Hong Ki a smile with an expression, ‘We’ll talk later.’

Yong Hwa was closely watching her backstage. Just by hearing her voice, it seems to him that all his worries faded away.
“Wow! Chukahae! She’s not just great in pictures, she has the talent as well!”

Before Shin Hye could go down the stage, the crowd is shouting for “More! More!”
“How about a duet with Yong Hwa oppa?”
“Yeah! We want a duet!” The audience agreed.
“Yong Hwa! Come here!” Hong Ki even asked him to bring along Yong Hwa’s guitar.
“Shin Hye-ya! They’re asking for it!” Hong Ki was washing his hands. He’s really naughty at times. He also saw how Yong Hwa stares at her.
“Arasseo. But, what will we sing?”
“Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliat.” Min Young shouted.
“Yeah! Yong Hwa knows the chords! He used to sing it during practice.” Min Hyuk yelled from the backstage. When Yong Hwa looked at his bandmates, they are all giving him an encouraging look.
“Hwaiting Yong!”
The MinMin couple had it all planned with Hong Ki and the band. And it worked. The couple felt that they should do something so that these two shall have a chance to confess each other’s feelings, even though Shin Hye is already with Hyun Joong.
Hong Ki put two chairs in the stage for Shin Hye and Yong Hwa to sit.
