This is just a filler chapter so its a little shorter than some of the others.

The strong scent of coffee beans intruded my senses as we arrived at a quaint coffee shop, apparently a habit of ours. I claimed a table as Taemin ordered our coffee. After yesterdays mini-break down on my behalf, things weren't awkward between us but I felt a shift in our relationship. Nothing on the outside had changed, I just couldn't put my finger on it. I shook it off, there was no use in complicating things.

I was dragged away from my thoughts when my phone began to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hi sweetie!" Mum.

"Er, is everything okay, mum?"

"I just wondered what you were up to, darling. Who are you with? Are you with Taemin?  Is he looking after you?"

"Mum, calm down. Yes, and we're just getting coffee."

"Ohh, isn't that sweet!"

I sighed, "It's just coffee..."

"Is he paying? Say hi to him for me. Has he been eating well? Ask him if he's been eating well."

"I'm pretty sure he's been eating well..."

It was at this point that Taemin arrived with two cups of steaming coffee.

"Look, he's here now, you can ask him yourself," I said, pushing the phone into Taemin's hand.

"My mum," I mouthed. He nodded and beamed.

"Hello, Mrs Kim. Yes, thankyou. Yes. Hahaha, I am. I will. Yes, definitely. I'll be sure to tell her. Ahaha. Okay. Bye, Mrs Kim. Bye."

"Be sure to tell me what?" I frowned, taking my phone back.

"That you're not to make a fuss whenever I buy you coffee." He winked.

"Pah!"
