TAEYEON POV

I could feel tears in the corner of my eyes, wanting to come out.

I held it in, I really did.

Their past is so cute and their ending….

It was awful.

Before I knew it tears had already started running down my cheeks, seeing hyun joongs tearful eyes made it worse and, I felt like I wanted to hug him and tell him it’s okay.

But I won’t do that, I shouldn’t.

Hyun joong turned away as the doctor came out, after the longest time.

“Are you family members?” the doctor asked.

KIM HYUN JOONG POV

“Are you family members?” the doctor asked.

That doctor it was him.

“I’m her soon to be husband” I said.

“Okay, well she’s in a pretty good condition, but…” the doctor started.

Please don’t say anything bad.

Please….

“She’s currently in a coma, I don’t think she will wake up anytime soon” the doctor explained.

“Because she’s been in a car accident before, she may not have healed completely before this accident occurred again” the doctor continued to explain.

I widened my eyes, I couldn’t believe it.

Taeyeon and I entered the so mins hospital room, I dialled ommas number and told her what had happened.

She yelled at me over the phone, but I wasn’t going to think about that.

I was solely thinking of so min.

I didn’t call so mins appa because, well he never liked seeing us and he doesn’t even bother showing up even if we did call.

I stood by her bed, examining and staring at her face.

I grabbed hold of her hand.

“So min please wake up” I whispered.

No response, I called out to her again.

“So min, it’s me hyun joong, please wake up” I said.

TAEYEON POV

When I heard the news, I couldn’t believe it.

Would I be able to live on, knowing that my best friend will never wake up again?

Will I?

I kneeled down on the other side of the bed as I grabbed her hand and I leaned my forward against her hand.

Someone barged through the door.

“omma” I heard hyun joong mutter.

“SO MIN-AH, wake up please” she said as she lightly shook so min.

She didn’t even twitch, all she was doing was breathing, simply breathing.

At least she’s breathing.

“So min, you need to wake up, everyones waiting for you” hyun joongs omma said.

“So min” she whispered.

“Please wake up” she whispered again.

Hyun joongs omma, grabbed a chair as she looked down.

“Mrs kim” I said.

“hmm, yes sweetie” she said as she looked at me with tear filled eyes, trying her best to smile.

“I’m sure she’s going to wake up” I said as encouragingly as I could, even though I wasn’t sure.

Tears were rushing up to my eyes, as I tried to hold them in.

Mrs Kim was still looking at me.

“Sweetie, I know you want to cry, let it all out” she ushered me as she pulled me into a hug.

For once, I didn’t feel weird in a strangers embrace, it actually felt warm and comforting, I missed those times when my parents hugged me like this.

My parents they died a few years ago, my mum died with cancer and my dad he was murdered by someone.

I never knew who or why, but if I ever found out who it was they’ll regret ever killing my dad.

KIM HYUN JOONG POV

Omma and taeyeon they were sleeping soundly as they laid their heads on the bed while sitting on the chair.

I woke each of them up, telling them to go home.

“What about you?” taeyeon asked.

“Don’t worry about me, I’ll look after her” I simply replied.

“I don’t want to go, I want to be here when she wakes up” taeyeon replied.

“Go home and rest” I stated.

“aniyo” she said as she laid her head back onto the bed.

She sure can be stubborn sometimes.

“Just go, come back tomorrow morning” I replied.

“arasso” taeyeon said as she got up.

“Bossy” she muttered.

“I heard that” I said as she walked slowly out of the room with omma.

She rolled her eyes as she smiled and waved as she left.

When they were gone, I stared at her features.

I never known this, but she’s actually really pretty.

I stared at her for the longest time, I sighed as I fell asleep clutching her hand tight.

Days flew by, she still hadn’t woken up, taeyeon and I took turns looking after her.

I would stay there during the night, while she came by after school and early in the morning.

Days turned into weeks.

Before they knew it.

Week had turned into months.

Like always I stayed by her side, waiting for her to wake up.

Then there it was.

I actually felt it.

Her fingers twitched under my warm hands.

Her hands started to move as she reached up to rub her eyes.

“So min?” I called.

Her eyes fluttered open as she looked at me.

She threw her arms around me.

“OPPA” she screamed.

She remembers?

SO MIN POV

“So min” someone called.

Its hyun joong, I know it.

I opened my eyes as I threw my arms around him.

“OPPA” I screamed.

I immediately regretted doing that as I held my head.

I lay back down on the bed.

“So min, are you okay?” hyun joong asked.

“Ne” I replied weakly. “It’s just a little headache” I replied.

“are you sure” he asked again.

“ne” I said.

After sometime, hyun joong started to say something.

“so min?” he said.

“ne” I replied.

“Do you remember everything?” hyun joong asked.
