Joy and Seulgi met each other during their freshmen year, when they lived at the Men's Residence Hall which is actually not just for men (or boys, to be more accurate in reference to the age group of its occupants).

It was 9pm and Joy was sitting at the concrete floor outside the common bathroom when Seulgi spotted her.

The girl was quietly crying. Seulgi was really beat from trying to learn the basics of zoology and botany and just wanted to go for a quick pee, but she just couldn't dismiss the sight before her, so she found herself suddenly sitting on the not-so-hygienic floor too. 

Joy was surprised to see another girl suddenly sitting across from her. 

She didn't say anything, but just sat there.

And so for the next 15 minutes, Joy continued crying, while Seulgi quietly sat with her.

It made Joy feel less alone.

Less discombubulated.

Less disoriented and less scared as it was her first time to be away from her family, her friends back in Manila - from anything that was familiar.

Now it's been three years. They've moved to their own apartment where they've shared anything and everything, from sordid stories about terror profs, to basics of female living like sanitary napkins, to stories and questions about life.

But amongst all of these, they've shared with each other the most important resource there is - time.
