( ( Chanhee's POV ) )

I grabbed my lunch as the bell sounded off. Byunghun didn't go to school today. Was it because of the incident yesterday? It didn't seem like it would bother him enough to avoid me though. I felt my face heat up just thinking about it. I'm sorry, Byunghun! I really didn't mean to!

A vibration went off in my left pocket of my black slightly torn jeans. A text message? Probably from Niel. He's the only one who texts me. I checked the message.

9/15/XXXX 7:03 am

Niel

Msg:

I have to show you something.

It's really urgent! Hurry to the

Eating area now!!!!11!

I shoved my phone back into my pocket and dashed out of the classroom. By the time I'm at the table, I'm already breathing unevenly.

". . .Ni . . . el . . .?" I mummbled between breaths.

A little spikey black-haired boy threw his lunch onto the table. "Oh hyung! What happened? Were you being chased by wolves?" He questioned as he seated himself down.

". . . No . . ." Last time I checked, there's no wolves in this school.

Where's Niel anyway? He told me to hurry up and he's not even here! I could feel steam releasing from my ears.

"CHANNIE!" A piercing voice cut through the chatter in the Eating Area. Niel. "You got the text right?" 

The younger brown-haired boy settled next to me. I nodded in response, too tired to say anything. It doesn't help the fact that my class isn't as close to the Eating Area as their classes.

"Well then I should show this to you. It's the new latest thing going around about the Wang-ta- I mean Byunghun." He stammered as he rummaged through his jacket pockets. My ears perked up at the golden-haired boy's name. I wonder what lousy gossip it is now.

"Aha! Here it is!" Niel shouted, pulling out a small folded photo. I took a peek at it and my eyes widened. "Told you, Hyung! I knew he wasn't good to begin with!"

I grabbed the picture out of Niel's fingers, examining it closely. The photo looked like it was from the newspapers for today. There was a lady being shoved into the lane of a speeding car, and the person who pushed her had their back to the camera but their uniform was the same as our's. His hair was a light color and layered in the back which looked a lot like Byunghun. I blinked a few times. Trying to see if the image would change in any way. And of course, it didn't.

"I saw that picture on the news this morning!" Changhyun yelled as he stared at it from my right side. "That guy sure is scary . . ."

"Yeah! I think he got suspended for a few days from it." Niel added, reaching for some of Changhyun's snacks. "I'm surprised he didn't get expelled."

My mind filled with mixed emotions and thoughts. It didn't seem like Byunghun would do this at all. But there it was, proof right in front of my eyes. Was he really just putting on the nice guy act in front of me? And when I turned my back on him just for a quick second, he's become someone totally different? I don't understand him at all. And maybe I never did.

"Lee Byunghun?" I looked up to see Mrs.Park, the school's principal, her hair pulled back into a bun. "Is that your name?"

I replied with a nod. Great, what does she want from me?

"Oh good. Just the boy I wanted to see." The older woman expressed as she clapped her painted hands together. "I have to talk to you about something . . . important. If you don't mind following me to my office."

So this is what I get for going to school early. A principal on my tail.

I nodded again and snatched my backpack.

When we reached her small office, she gestured me to sit down in the chair across from her desk.

I did as I was told.

"So . . . I heard that you were in kind of a pinch after school yesterday." The principal remarked as she took a seat behind her desk.

Whoa. Did she see what happened between me and Chanhee after school yesterday? Why would she talk to me about that though? It's not relevant to any of my grades or behavior. My face warmed up a little. I couldn't face her right now so I stared at the papers spread out on her desk. Huh? There's a picture on there. It looks like someone pushed a lady- wait. That assaulter looks a lot like me. Oh no...

I gazed up at the woman in front of me, trying to give her an expression that read "I didn't do it".

Of course, she couldn't read it. "Now I know you're having trouble getting along with the students here, and it might be tough on you. But please don't add to your troubles by doing something like this. You're lucky the elder woman isn't badly damaged."

I sighed to myself. I didn't do it. I'm not even sure why someone would dress up like me and pull something like that. But of course if I told Mrs.Park that, she'd never believe me. All the evidence pointed directly at me anyway.

"So you're going to be suspended for the next three days to think about what you've done." Mrs.Park added as she observed the image.

But this was a good oppurtunity. If Chanhee believed that I pulled a stunt like that, he'd never try and talk to me again. Then I could leave him out of this mess. Out of my life. But if I wanted this to be successful, I'd have to act completely different. 

I jumped up from my seat. "Then I'll be leaving now." I responded as I swept my backpack off of the floor.

I have three days to come up with a way to say good-bye to Chanhee. Forever.
