Niel texted me after lunch again, but this time, he told me to wait for him in the boy's restroom after school so he could finish telling me whatever it was he wanted to tell me during lunch. And he refused to text me about it. That boy just loved seeing people's facial expressions when he told them something shocking. And he seemed to always have information on everything. Might as well tell me the answers to upcoming tests too.

I propped my back up against the wall as everyone ran each other over to get out of this place. I didn't wanna get dragged along with them again. As soon as the hall ways cleared, I made my way to the restroom.

As soon as I got there, I poked my head inside and looked left and right to make sure no one was hiding. After I made sure it was safe, I crouched down and checked under the doors of the stalls to look for last minute dumpers. None. It was completely empty. Just as I was about to text Niel that the restroom was abandoned, he came bursting in.

"Channie!" He exclaimed as I sprung back up. His face was nearly pink and he was huffing and puffing.

"Did you run here?" I asked as he leaned on the bathroom wall for support, still catching his breath.

"ha-a. Yeah . . . I was in the other restroom and you weren't there, so I thought you'd be in this one."

Oh yeah. He never told me which one.

"Oh okay. You should've told me which one then!" I scolded playfully.

"That doesn't matter right now! I have to tell you about that thing!"

"Alright. What is it?"

"Well . . . you see-" A vibration interupted him. Niel fished out his phone and checked the message. It's probably Minsoo, the guy he's been talking to. I didn't really mind him though, as long as he didn't replace me as Niel's best friend.

But Niel's expression grew uneasy and uncertain when he looked at the text. Did something happen between him and Minsoo?

Without thinking, I snatched the phone out of his grip and peeked at it.

Byunghun(L.Joe)

Msg:

Hey. It's me, L.Joe.

Just in case you didn't

save my number.

"H-hyung! It's not what you think! Let me explain!" The younger boy in front of me gripped my shoulder, shaking his head rapidly.

I glanced up at him from the phone and nodded to let him know I'm listening.

"Well . . . You see . . . While you were in the restroom earlier during lunch, L.Joe kinda went up to our table and . . ."

"And what?"

" . . . and asked for my number, but only to let him know how you're doing now and then!"

Wait, what did he say? Byunghun was worried about me?

"I'm sorry, Hyung! I didn't mean to agree to it, but he said that you were the first one to really care about him so he wanted to look after you . . . sorta."

I was speechless, still taking in all of Niel's words. But I failed to understand what they meant.

"And he told me not to tell you his intentions, but you're my best friend! There's no way I was gonna hide it from you!" He wailed.

". . ."

"Are you mad at me, Hyung?"

". . . No. It's okay, Niel. You don't need to apologize." I gave the younger boy a hug, still processing everything I heard.

But it all seemed unbelievable.

I snuck a peek at the phone in my hand again. The message was still there. I wasn't dreaming after all. Neither was Niel lying nor joking. And there's no other way that he would even have Byunghun's number, I mean, Niel was still afraid of him.

Well, Well, Well Byunghun,

Your secret has been revealed.
