This other Sehun was from a world unknown, because he wasn't friendly to open up about himself thus little was known about him. The elf wasn't the one that found him like he did with Sehun, but the demon that found his way to Lyfe. And no one knew how he did it, not even Magus Choi– this Kai's stepdad– or the sea elf Jimin. The elfin king wasn't certain if he were a real demon or just had an appearance of one, because he didn't say. Unlike other Sehuns that were lithe, this particular one was a little bulky, with red skin and horns and a pair of black bat like wings that he could tuck under his skin at will. Sometimes his skin changed from red to pale human skin which lead the elf to believe he could shift his appearance like a shape shifter. But he noticed this Sehun prefer to be in his red skin, as if changing his skin was a slip he sometimes didn't have control of. He didn't talk and the elf had thought he was mute for some time until he found it wasn't the case. He had one focus, in Lyfe. Dae. All he did was try to kidnap the pink haired boy without giving a reason and would slay anyone that stood in his way, a dozen elves and dragons had died at his hands the first two times. Fortunately, they were able to revive the elves with the tree of life, due to having a connection with it. Unfortunately the dragons weren't so lucky. The demon seemed obsessed with the little boy. He had severely Injured the elf Sehun when the latter was trying to prevent him from taking his son. He didn't show mercy, fought dirty and unfazed by the fact that he had met someone with a face exactly like his own. He stabbed the elf multiple times with his wicked dagger made of bones and because the elf was only trying to defend himself, the demon Sehun succeeded in leaving him in a fatal state that would have ended his life if not for having Kai's white dragon magic in him. To top it all, the demon was powful as , not even dragon Kai stood a chance. The demon Sehun best them both effortlessly as if they were kittens playing with wild big cat. The comparison was startling. The dragon king lost both his legs, but luckily being a golden dragon made it possible to regenerate new ones in no time. According to the elf, the demon just grabbed both legs and tore as if they were a piece of fabric. Just hearing about it sent a shiver down Sehun's spine.  No one could beat him.  Athena arriving to protect Dae was surprisingly what made him give up. He had turned to attack her, only to freeze gazing at her then he vanished just like that. For some reason she had an effect on him, like a father seeing their child and that baffled them. The second time he came, half dozen people guarding Dae met their end, once again Athena's appearance had an effect. The demon had gazed at her almost longingly before vanishing. It was after that they decided it was better Athena stayed with Dae all the time. The demon come and go as he wish without a care in the world. More disturbing was his persistency. Magus Choi had been painstakingly trying to find a way to keep him out, and understand why he seemed different toward Athena, but even after a few months he still hadn't been able to figure how. Hearing about this being, Sehun had doubts if it would be wise to bring him to Varal. What if he couldn't differential between friend and foe and end up killing indiscriminately? That would surely be a disaster. "Do not worry even if he doesn't help, my army and Kai's are with you." The elf said. Would it even be possible to convince him to come? Sehun wondered, thanking the elf absentmindedly. No matter how he liked meeting another Sehun, this particular one seemed scary and more likely to become an enemy than friend. It was better not to take any chances. But what if Sehun could somehow convince him to help? What if his fears prevented him from reaching out to a powerful ally? He was lost in thoughts that he didn't notice when someone stood in front of him, until a warning from his beast had him jerking back to reality. Blinking rapidly, Sehun stared at the red skin person before him ,a pair of short, black horns curled up on either side of his forehead. The the color of his eyes were a smoldering amber, with slits that were watching him with a frown as if trying to figure out how he came to existence. Instinctively, Sehun took a step a back when his brain finally realized who was stood before him. The demon. He was every inch a Sehun, even the height was just like Sehun's. But his gym-obsessed physique, horns, unusual reptilian eyes and wings were another story. Despite that he was beautiful, more than Sehun expected him to be. All Sehuns were beautiful alright, they had the same face and all, however for some reason the demon's alluring beauty was on another level. Like... like an incubi, in the midst of orcs(Other Sehuns), like the demon was a shiny diamond compared with gold. In other words it was as if this Sehun was more favored by the deities that created all Sehuns from across the universes to make him prettier. The thin scar lining from his chin up to the side of his head added to his roguish beauty. Spellbound, Sehun observed the being unblinkingly. He was wearing a simple black jeans and black shirt underneath his long red leather coat that made him more like dracula incarnate, almost blending with his skin. A name tag stating Hell Cop no. 3 was pinned to his left side. No name just number. Sehun frowned why was he identified as a number instead of his name? He quickly discard his thoughts when the pretty demon shifted on his feet as if contemplating his next move and that sent alarm bell going off in his head. The need to check on his kids had Sehun turning sharply to their direction, and the demon mirrored his actions. His eyes landing on the twins and Hyunjin. With an expression unreadable, the demon made toward them, but quickly Sehun darted in to block him. What was he trying to do? Kidnap his kids as well? Like hell Sehun would let him. However Sehun didn't expect what came next, he was fully certain of his ability to stop the other, because he wasn't relying on his paladin strength alone, but borrowed from his beast as well. Yet with a single flick of the demon's hand, Sehun was sent flying across the room colliding with a wall. Winded, Sehun was disoriented for a while, but was quick to regain his bearings. His kids were involved, he didn't have time to dally. Pushing himself off the ground, Sehun gasped at the scene before him. Most of the people were either laying or trying to get up like him. Only the children were unharmed. when did this happen? The demon stood in front of the kids, taking a sniff as if in search of a particular scent. He frowned and reached toward the twins in Hyunjin's arms. Instantly, Kai teleported right in front of Hyunjin, blocking the demon. The red skinned snarled, grabbing Kai's throat, and lifting him off the ground. Kai's shadow guards pulled out their weapons, readying to attack, but Kai waved a hand to stop them. The halted, all turning to gaze at Sehun as if asking for confirmation. Sehun nodded at them. Only then did they stand down. Kai didn't fight it, allowing the hell cop to have his way. Seeing that Kai didn't plan to do more, the demon let him go, pushing him aside. Now his focus was once again on the twins. Sehun held his breath, his beast at ready to surface fully. However Athena jumped onto the couch, growling at the red skinned man. The demon paused, gazed at her, frowned a bit. He opened and closed his mind a couple of times as if intending to say something to the panther. In the end he shook his head and then he was gone like a poof of smoke. However to Sehun's surprise, it didn't last long, because he reappeared the next moment. The demon had a look of utter confusion, making another attempt to vanish again but something seemed to be preventing him. He glitched in and out several times. In the end he was unable to disappear. A a dome rose encasing him. Sehun glanced at Athena, thinking she was responsible. But the scaled panther seemed confused too as she stared at the demon. She wasn't the one. Then who was it? What was happening? Just as Sehun's head was being to spin in an attempt to decipher things, a tall study figure pushed the double doors open walking in with a flare. It was instructor Choi, only in a rather ridiculous robe. His dimples appeared as his face split into a smile. Waving the item in his hand, his eyes found the elfin king, that was being helped to his feet by his husband. "It works." He sounded like a child finally figuring out his car toy could move if he pushed a certain a button. "Good, good. You did great Magus Choi." The elf said, gazing behind Siwon as if searching for someone that should accompany Siwon. "How did you managed it?" "It appears I've been tapping into the wrong frequency. Jimin helps me figure it out. " Siwon said, glancing behind him as if on cue Jimin– a green elf– stepped into the room, nodding at the elfin king, next to Jimin was another elf, Jungkook, the elfin king knight. Sehun remembered this Jimin was an usual elf, the elf Sehun had called him sea elf. Someone with great powers and knowledge beyond any of them. According to the elf Sehun, this Jimin was like walking encyclopedia. There was hardly a thing he didn't know and that was really impressive. Not far from him, Sehun heard a sharp gasp and when he looked, it was his Jimin gazing wide eyed at his doppelganger with astonishment. When they entered Lyfe, the others had been stunned speechless at the sight of elfin king and his Kai. But that didn't last as their attention was taken by the view of Lyfe. "Is there anything you can't do Chim?" Dragon king asked, amazed, smiling at the sea elf. "That's my genius husband." Knight Jungkook said, a lovestruck look on his face. "I hope our son takes after you darling. Sehun do you think he will take after Jimin?" The elfin king shook his helplessly. "I am not sure, but there's a high chance he will. His Hayrik is amazing after all. Baek's child took after Chanyeol in most ways, it shows the Parks have strong gene." The sea elf rolled his eyes."Don't praise me too much, it's the first success after several failed attempts, it might not last long." "Give yourself a little credit. Will you? My lovely disciple" Siwon said, which had Jimin throwing his head back as though exasperated. The robed man laughed fondly."Right let's use the best of it." He walked ahead. It was now he seemed to realize they had guests. His eyes rounded on Sehun as he froze for a moment. He nodded in greetings to Sehun before he shook himself and processed. Stood in front of the demon, Siwon observed him wordlessly, as Athena rubbed against the robe man in a spoiled manner. Still trapped inside the dome and even after an hour later, the demon hadn't said a word to them despite their attempts to get something out of him. He was leaning against the barrier's wall, his head lowered while toying with his sickle shaped bone blade as if the people around were invisible or he probably thought them insignificant of his attention. Another look at the demon, Sehun realized it was the latter. The demon knew as long as he didn't want to speak there was no way they could make him. He was bidding his time for the barrier to crumble on its own so that he could leave. Same barrier that wouldn't hold for much longer. Magus Choi had been feeding it more energy and he was beginning to look a little pale, as if what he were feeding was his blood. They needed to get the demon to speak or they might lose this chance. Sehun was certain if the demon returned to Lyfe he wouldn't let himself get captured again. What happened today was a momentarily mistake, by overestimating himself, thus he was caught off guard. With that though, Sehun stepped forward, tucking both hands in his pockets, so that he wouldn't be tempted to touch the barrier. He didn't know what effect it would have on him or the demon. It was better to stay at a safe distance. "I know you understand us, but chose not to respond." He began. In someway this Sehun reminded him of Lui and Lui was a being Sehun knew how to deal with. The demon didn't respond to his words in anyway as he continued to toy with his weapon. "But I really need your help." Yet again no response. "You can tell me what you want in return – not my kids of course, and I will grant it if it's within my ability to give." Sehun was ignored again and again and no matter what he asked, the demon didn't have a reaction, to the point he realized there was no getting through this Sehun. Defeated, Sehun lowered his head thinking hard. They were wasting time on this person. It would be best to return to Varal and start planning their next move. Just as Sehun was about to turn and tell his people it was time to leave, he heard a whimper from bellow. Athena was pacing back and forth the magic cage, gazing at the demon as she did. The demon finally stopped toying with his blade to focus on her, his eyes tender and a smal

Chapter 43: It was my favorite chapter as well, I even read it a couple of times.

There is never a dull moment in the Byun household and I love that Mina is still there with them. It’s also obvious that Baekhyun is her favorite. Little Steph is a sweetheart as well, I am still laughing over Baek and the paternity test. I can’t wait for the wedding.

Kai and Sehun are still the same and it’s hilarious that Kai has absolutely no control over his dragon, especially where his mate is concerned. It was also great to see Sehun send those ministers packing, Hyunjin is the rightful Crown Prince.

Lastly, I also enjoyed Blink visiting and the hellacats still being with Sehun. Thank you so much for this update, I am sure I will read it again before the next one.

Chapter 43: I can see why this was your favorite one to write, I really enjoyed reading it too. My favorite part is how the four hellcats are so protective of Sehun and everyone knows they are there for him, not Kia.

I can't understand why the minister/counselors would think Sehun would oust Hyunjin. Especially this many years later with hearing and seeing Sehun treat him lovingly as his own. I wonder if the minister was thinking of marrying his son or a close relative to the girl to take the throne maybe?

It's cute how Beakhyun is the only one to take Mia to task for changing the natural order/timing of change with her abilities just because she is curious. It only works because she loves and respects him so much and he is not afraid of her or what she can do.
I love his son, and how he had a DNA test to see if he was Chanyeols. The way Chanyeol teases him and laughs about it is fun too.
Thank you for this great chapter looking forward to the next. Hoping you have a good week.

Chapter 42: wow, that was very loving and sweet. Now they are one, both seemed tired but deeply content. Not much to say about this chapter, except glad that they finally mated. Kia just could not help but brag, he will probably regret it, he'll lose control and bam Sehun will be pregnant before the five-year mark.

Hope you had a nice time with your family.
