It could go off anything" She pointed at the babe in Wei Ying's arms. Sehun reached out to carry his son as Wei Ying tactically offered the boy. Glancing down at his son, Sehun realized she was right. Jae's chest was pulsing with a consistent glow. "Kai take us to your chambers." Sehun called, and his husband was beside him, creating a portal to take them back to Kai's chambers. He just knew Irene would be there even though he didn't specifically ask her to go there. Kai's chambers were the safest place with the highest defenses ward. And just the sight of Aurora would be enough for the guards stationed to let them in. The fire goddess began selecting people she wanted to join them. A few of Kai's shadow guards and Sehun's guardians, of course Baekhyun was among them. Sehun didn't wait to see the rest she chose as he  hurried inside the portal. As he predicted, his sister was there pacing back and forth with a seemingly agitated Aurora, while Seulgi was stood with a frown, her eyes watching Irene's movements. The cats were by the door, guarding it. Lui gave him a look that said About ing you showed up. When she spun around, Irene let out a breath of sheer relief."Thank goodness Sehun you're here. Her chest has been glowing and she's been crying, I don't know what to do and –" Sehun was next to her, taking Aurora and the effect was like magic, the girl ceased her cries, hands flailing as if in search of her brother. Even though it seemed rather ridiculous, Sehun still pulled Jae's hand out of the cloth wrapping him up. To Sehun's surprise, Aurora actually grabbed his hand like she did with Mina's that other day. Amazed by her level of intelligence, Sehun watched the glow in their chests blinking madly for a few seconds before disappearing altogether and he almost swore Aurora sighed as though relived. "Hmm that's better." The fire goddess spoke behind him. Certain that the imminent danger had passed, Sehun turned around. Scattered around Kai's parlour were the Byuns, Kims, six of Kai's shadow and flower guards and all of Sehun's guardians. The ones she chose to join the discussion. Zach and Lyla were there too, nuzzling one another lovingly. "Where is the nurse maid?" Blink asked, coming to stand next to Sehun, peering at the babes. She appeared a lot better, seemed to have regained her strength fully, which was a relief. At the sound of her voice, Jae blinked his golden eyes open and gazed at Blink with a baby's curiosity. And Sehun realized it was now that he truly felt reassured seeing his son awake. Losing interest in her quickly, Jae looked at Sehun and the babe started babbling, clearly happy to see his father and Sehun couldn't help his smile. Aurora babbled– grumbled something, her gaze flickered to Kai that was near by. Kai hummed, he seemed to understand what his daughter meant as he leaned in to drop a kiss to her cheek."Will let someone get her right away." He said, making for the exist. Was it a dragon thing? Sehun wondered glancing between his daughter– that seemed suddenly innocent– and his man. "Dragon born has a special bond that allows them to communicate regardless of their young age. Though Kai no longer has a dragon, but his dragon blood enable him to retain that ability." Blink must have seen Sehun's bafflement as she explained. "It's nothing surprising." Oh. Sehun nodded, cradling his twins. Just as Kai returned, Jennie entered the room too in a hurry as if chased by something. By the door, she froze, eyes widening at the sight of the goddess and she dropped to her knees, it was almost comical for someone as graceful as her. "Mother, I thought I was mistaken, but it's truly you." She breathed out, eyes filled with worship and adoration for the goddess. Jennie was a fire-hound that seemed favored by the fire goddess if her smile was any indication. Thus it was expected to feel the presence of her goddess in the mortal realm. "Rise child." She instructed. "Come." She made a calling gesture and Jennie was on her feet. She took off, the first two steps in human form, but then she was in her hound form the next moment. She landed gracefully on all fours, until she was before the goddess, tail wagging excitedly. Though not her champion, but the goddess seemed to have a soft spot for the she-hound. The goddess caressed Jennie's pelt lovingly. A familiar osmotic energy emitting had him gazing behind to see Blink taking in the scene with a grim expression, her wings were a dark grey instead of black. Huh? She appeared like she was going to set the two people on fire any moment. It took a while for Sehun to understand that energy was a result of his mom's jealousy. Harpies had a certain ability that showed their emotions on their wings, though the colours didn't change dramatically from black to white, but did change shades. Like his mom's. However being a harpy witch grant her the privilege to control that. She must be deeply effected to let it show. Sehun might be the only one that knew what it meant, but he was certain his mom wouldn't let it show if she had control. Eh? Why would she be so jealous of Jennie being pet? Or did she also have feelings for the goddess or was it simply hating to see her sister give her kind affection to another that wasn't herself? But before he could investigate some more the fire goddess caught his attention. "I get that you're excited but I need you to be in human form. I have a task for you." Instantly, Jennie was human again, leaning closely as the goddess began to talk in hush tone and the she-hound nodded enthusiastically. Curious, Sehun strained to hear what it was about but of course he couldn't, despite his exceptional hearings. It was how powerful a goddess was. When he tried harder, it only resulted in him wincing from the jab in his head. "Stop being curious in what doesn't concern you." The goddess sent in his head. Blink was suddenly stood in front him, her wings changing shades rapidly that it was hard to keep up with her emotions. She made a gesture with her hand and the fire goddess snapped her attention to his mom, with a frown. "Why are you trying to attack me?" She asked, obviously confused. Blink's wing twitched. "You made Sehun's head hurt." She retorted. "No I did not." The fire goddess said, her brows furrowed. "Yes you did." Blink insisted, "I felt his pain," "I did?"The goddess blinked at his mom like a lost child, and Sehun could almost see a question mark hovering over her head. Blink huffed with a nod. That had Sehun nearly laughing out loud. Her so called counterattack was out of pettiness fueled by her jealousy. He knew, she knew what the goddess did, didn't really cause him harm. The people around shared glances in confusion, none of them could comprehend what was going on. They were most likely wondering why the sudden tension between the sisters that had been affectionate with one another moment prior. Hoping to appease his mom, Sehun leaned in to whisper. "It's alright, I am fine." He deliberated adding the next part, but knowing it was the source of his mom's emotions he proceeded. "And from what I see, that wasn't anything close to what you two have. Jennie is like a fan meeting their idol, nothing more, just how I will act seeing Cha Eun Woo, she wouldn't dare think of having more and the uhm– goddess is just being a mother." Blink started, clearly not expecting to get caught by him. She flustered, willing her wings to revert to their original state. Without a word, she retreated to the back of the room, and the fire goddess watched her keenly, lips pursed. "Who is Cha Eun woo?" Kai asked with a frown. Sehun jerked at his husband, a little caught off guard by the sudden question."You don't know Cha Eun Woo?" He asked and Kai shook his head. "Seriously?" To Sehun's surprise Kai really didn't seem to know who Cha Eun Woo was, and that should be a crime, punishable by– whatever way an emperor could get punished. "He won the award for the most handsome fae few years ago and since then he has been on TV and will compete for Mr. Varal this year, oh my gosh. I can't believe you don't know Cha Eun Woo." Sehun sighed and gave Kai a look as if he was a lost cause. Kai's frowned remained, "You seem to know a lot about this fae." Kai's face rapidly darkened as if a bloody storm was going to sweep over. His lips were pressed together tightly. "Of course I do, I love him." Okay maybe Sehun shouldn't have said that, because Kai's expression darkened even more, a sudden thunder clap– that was undeniable Kai's doing –startled Sehun. "I don't mean in a way that I love you. Just a fan of his that's all." His husband relaxed a bit."I will like to see this Cha Eun Woo of yours." Sehun let out a squeak at the implications. Baekhyun stifled a laughter and Sehun cursed his friend inwardly. "Oh no, he's not mine, he belongs to all his fans and his girlfriend or boyfriend I don't even know if he has one." Sehun quickly amended, shaking his head vigorously. "Now that I think about it, I don't even like him like I used to in the past." He lied. Though Kai of this timeline was different, but the previous Kai was prone to throw jealousy fit. Sehun liked Cha Eun Woo alright. The guy was hot as hell, but his husband didn't need to know that. Kai didn't seem convinced, but was willing let it go with a nod and a look that stated they were going to revisit the Cha Eun Woo's conversation later. The fire goddess who had been watching Blink all this time let out a breath. She didn't seem to get her sister and finally turned her attention back to Jennie. It didn't take long for Jennie to leave, obviously eager to carry out the goddess's order. After Jennie left to do whatever she was ordered, they took their seats and waited for the nurse maid to finish feeding the twins, while Mr. And Mrs. Byun hovered over the poor maid, that seem very uncomfortable with their unblinking gazes. The two investigators were clearly suspicious of very maid that had direct access to Sehun and his kids. The maid quickly stood up, to put them to bed before she quickly exit the room. The discussion didn't begin right away, not before Kai set a ward around the babes that would alert them if anyone tried to approach without their knowledge. No one interrupted and paid close attention as the fire goddess began. Even Blink had moved closer to listen. She spoke of many things that shocked Sehun. According to her findings–though she deliberately refused to disclose the name of the goddess for some reason– the goddess helping Seung-Wan had her own personal agenda. Which didn't surprise Sehun, he had expected she was using his sister for her personal gain. But what surprised him was her reason, it wasn't what he expected. The she wasn't doing all she'd done to gain more power to surpass the other goddesses, but she genuinely wanted to free the Demigod. And that was something she and Seung-Wan had in common, the same goal that united them in the first place. To Seung-Wan it was simply out of duty, but the goddess's reason was for love. Yeah as outrageous as it sounded it was all for love. It turned out the Demigod was her long-lost love and she used Seung-Wan's desperation for revenge to her full advantage. When Sehun had asked how a goddess of this world and the demigod of his world became lovers in the first place. The fire goddess had given him one of her looks that had him snapping his mouth shut. But she answered nevertheless. To Sehun's utmost surprise, many years ago Varal had been connected to his world in a way he never have imagined. The now known as two different worlds had actually once been one since before the dawn of man. The high mother had a mate, one she had loved more than life itself. He was called the Father. Their union was fruitful with many kids, both males and females, that were now known as the gods and goddesses. Contrary to what Sehun believed the deities were born, not made with magic or coming to existence on their own. Even after the mortal species came to exist, everything was in harmony, until one of her daughters fell in love with the demigod. The love she had for the demigod was strong enough to make her betray her family. Sehun learned how the first Fenigriff came to exist. The nature of the demigod and his sister's birth, of having a god father and a Griff mother, was how the first Fenigriff came to existence, basically the Fenigriff were descendants of the gods. Once again Sehun interrupted the goddess, with another question on how the demigod and his twin weren't known for having a God father and a Griff mother. She gave him a look, opening to scold him, but snapped it shut when she briefly glanced Blink's way. Clearly not wanting to upset Blink. Taking deep a breath as if to calm her fiery temper, she gave a smile all too fake and said. "Sehun dear, sometimes I cannot seem to figure out how your brain works. You just admitted to know him as a demigod and yet you question how he and his sister weren't known to have a god parent?
