Suzy wasn't expecting anyone this evening. She furrowed her brow in confusion when she heard the knock on the door. She looked through the peephole in the door and blinked dramatically. It was Rosé. And while she hasn't seen the writer for three days, they have sent each other texts back and forth.

She was not prepared to see her best friend. She didn't want her to see her like this. She grabbed her jacket from the coat rack near the door and put it on, zipping it up before opening the door.

'' Chaeyoung, what are you doing here ? ''

'' Can we talk ? '' Rosé looked at Suzy  up and down '' Are you going somewhere ? ''

'' No, i just go back. I went to the store.'' She hated lying but she had to do it right now.

'' Okay. Can i come in ? '' She felt all over the place and standing out in the hall wasn't helping. Rosé has been thinking about Suzy a lot, especially after she saw her with Ji Eun. She wanted to know the truth.

'' Yes come in. I'm just going to change into something more comfortable.'' Suzy took a few steps backwards. '' Get yourself something to drink. Your favorite wine is in the cabinet above and to the left of the sink.'' She explained before she walked towards her room.

Suzy took her jacket and threw it on the bed. She quickly searched for a baggy shirt to hide her back support. She has been standing all day today in court and her back was killing her that she ended up putting her back support to take off some of the pressure.

'' Su, where's ... ''  Rosé opened the door. Her eyes found Suzy's for a moment but then shifted to the back support.

Suzy watched Rosé's face goes from confusion to sadness '' Were you trying to hide this from me ? ''

'' No, i just didn't feel the need to tell you about me wearing a back support after a long day at work.'' Suzy replied.

Rosé curled her hands into fists '' Apparently you have gotten used to hiding things from me.'' The anger won over her sadness '' I can't believe this. Am i really your best friend as you claim ? I'm starting to doubt it.''

Rosé moved towards the door, feeling defeated. She had convinced herself that they could go back to the way they were. She denied her feelings for the lawyer for a long time and she was going to confront her about Ji Eun today. But now everything was ruined.

Suzy hang her head. She was not sure what to say. She didn't need Rosé's pity. That was the biggest issue. She didn't want to feel that. There was an inkling of it ever since she told her the truth about her accident. It started to feel like Rosé was babying her with her asking about how she feels every single minute and wanting to make sure she's not overworking herself. She wanted Rosé to be different. She wanted her to treat her the same but it's already changed.

Rosé put her hand on the doorknob and turned it, pulling the door open. She looked back at Suzy as she exited. Suzy stood there with her head hung low, her shoulders slumped, defeated. Rosé sighed and Suzy looked up.

'' Rosé. Go.'' It's not more than a whisper, her lower lip wobbled as she said the words. She turned back to her room and sat down on the end of the bed.
