Rosé had the day off and Suzy left for work really early before Rosé was awake. She recalled their conversation from last night as she came downstairs to the kitchen. She saw Suzy's lunch bag sitting on the counter. Rosé has seen Suzy leave it before when she was in a rush.

She knows Suzy being Suzy, she'd tell Rosé that it isn't a big deal and she will figure something out to eat for lunch. That something meant her eating a snack from the vending machine and nothing else.

Rosé grabbed Suzy's lunch bag off the counter and headed towards her workplace.

As soon as Rosé stepped inside through the doors of the court she regretted it. She didn't know where's Suzy's new office. She tried to follow the signs but she didn't know exactly where to find Suzy. She figured she probably needs to ask someone who works here.

'' Chaeyoung, hey! what are you doing here ? '' Jisoo asked when she spotted her.

'' Jisoo, thank god. I was looking for Suzy. She forgot her lunch bag.'' Rosé replied '' What are you doing here ? ''

Jisoo looked at her curiously '' Well that was nice of you.'' She said '' I'm a lawyer, Chaeyoung, remember ?'' She smirked '' So you and Suzy ? ''

'' What are you implying ? We are friends.'' Rosé clarified '' I had the day off and i couldn't just let her starve herself.''

'' Uh huh, sure.'' Jisoo said '' Suzy is in her office on the fifth floor.''

Rosé finally made it to the fifth floor. She found Suzy talking to someone in front of her office, they shared a laugh, and then the man left. Suzy's face lighted up when saw Rosé standing there.

'' Chaeyoung, hi!'' Suzy said, her voice full of excitement. '' What are you doing here ? ''

'' You forgot your lunch miss.'' Rosé replied, holding out the bag in her hand. '' I know that you would probably starve yourself if i didn't bring your lunch.''

There was a moment where Rosé couldn't decipher Suzy's facial expression, something deeper than gratitude that Rosé couldn't name.

'' That was very sweet of you. Thank you, Chaeng.'' Suzy said as she smiled '' Come, i'll show you around.''

Suzy introduced Rosé to all her co-workers as '' My best friend, the best-selling author, Park Rosé.'' With a proud smile. Rosé's chest flooded with warmth at how proud Suzy was to introduce her, almost like she was showing her off.

Getting fully to see Suzy at work was her favorite thing. All of her co-workers adored her, which was no surprise. Rosé noticed some clients checking Suzy out and she couldn't blame them.

At lunch time, Suzy shared her food with Rosé despite the writer's protests. They sat at a table by themselves, eating and talking about their plans for the day.

'' What! Why are you smiling like that ? '' Suzy asked.

'' Nothing! I'm just proud of you.'' Rosé replied.

Suzy was looking at her now the same way she looked at her last night when she confessed her feelings.

'' I want to be with you.'' Suzy said. Her words barely more than a breath, but they're enough.

Rosé gave her a sad smile. She shook her head like she didn't understand why Suzy was bringing this up, like she wishes she weren't, like she wanted to know why Suzy was ruining this good day.
