' Rosé.''

Rosé was in the waiting room at the hospital, waiting for any updates about Suzy. 

''Ji Eun, how is ..''

'' Can you talk some sense into her or i will.'' Ji Eun's frown was all show, Rosé could see the worry in her eyes.

'' I'm on it.''

It didn't take long to find Suzy's room. She opened the door and frowned when she heard Suzy.

'' No, i'm not having a surgery. I want to go home.''

Rosé cleared , shocking Suzy into silence. Suzy sat on the bed, her right hand supporting her back.

'' Chaeyoung, you're here.'' She said softly.

Rosé rolled her eyes '' Why are you giving the doctor a hard time ? Lay down now.''

Rosé knew from the look on Suzy's face that she was displeased. She laid on the bed, folding her arms and shooting Rosé a look that said 'happy?''

'' Doctor, does she need a surgery on her back ? '' She asked, stepping forward to stand beside Suzy's bed.

The doctor looked at Suzy to get her permission to talk and when she sighed and nodded, he said '' Miss Bae has a pinched nerve in her lower back from the accident. The sudden pain and severe numbness or paralysis in her legs is due to the pressure put on the nerves because of her spinal cord injury which requires an immediate treatment.'' He paused looking at his chart '' I already informed Miss Bae that she might need a surgery to reduce pressure on the nerve if her symptoms get worse.''

Suzy was clearly agitated '' You also said that it's a high risk procedure.''

'' But you're going to end up with a permanent paralysis if you keep putting more pressure on your back.'' The doctor said firmly '' You need to have the surgery as fast as possible. You're looking at months of physiotherapy. The sooner you have the surgery, the better the results are going to be.''

'' I need time to think.''

The more Rosé looked at Suzy the more she realized that she was not okay. She seemed genuinely mad and while Rosé understood that being in the hospital might have triggered some unpleasant memories, it was not usual for Suzy to behave like this with people.

'' Thank you doctor. Can i get a minute alone with Suzy ? '' Rosé asked.

'' No problem. I'll get you admitted. Just one night, until you gain a full range of motion in your legs. I'll give you an epidural corticosteroid injection for the pain in your back. You can go home tomorrow. '' The doctor informed her.

They were alone now but they both knew it was temporary as Suzy needed to go to get the epidural injection, but in the moment of quiet, Rosé felt all the feelings of the day rush back.

She sat on the edge of Suzy's bed and took her hand.

'' I didn't think the kiss we shared would make you end up in a hospital bed.'' She joked.

Suzy took a deep breath and then looked at Rosé with sad eyes '' I ruined the night.''

That explained the anger. Today was a special day for both of them, having confessed their feelings after pushing and pulling for years. Both of them were looking forward to spending the night together at home.

'' Hey, it's not your fault.'' Rosé replied '' do you know what's romantic ? us having our first date at the hospital.''

Suzy gave her a small smile. She raised her hand to tug on Rosé's arm. She seemed tired and Rosé could not blame her. The bed was small, but Rosé managed to wedge herself beside Suzy, smiling affectionately at her when Suzy tucked her head just below her chin.

'' It is indeed romantic.'' Suzy said softly. 

Rosé raised one hand to Suzy's back and began rubbing comforting circles '' You scared me today.'' She confessed.

Suzy held on a little tighter.
