'' Rosé!'' Her manager managed to get her attention and pointed a finger towards someone's direction. The writer turned around.

There, in front of the door of her office, stood her best friend, as beautiful as Rosé remembered her. As she knew her. The lawyer gave her a little smile that Rosé couldn't exchange because she was glued to the spot. 

'' Hi, Rosé.''  Rosé felt disappointed. Suzy always called her 'Chaeng', she rarely called her by her name. '' I waited for you at the coffee shop but you did not come.''

'' Rosé, i'm going to make a call.'' Her manager said as she left the office and closed the door behind her.

'' What do you want? '' Rosé asked as she decided to lean on the desk and take a deep and long breath '' Where have you been all these years?'' She whispered another question.

'' I was in France.'' Silence lingered '' I needed time to think.''

'' And you needed six years to think ? '' Rosé's eyes looked away from Suzy's brown eyes and tried to stop any tears from falling, she's cried enough.

Suzy sighed and decided to take a seat on the opposite side of the desk. It felt weird, seeing Rosé being a best-selling author and having her own office without getting to share this special moment with her.

'' Rosé, i understand- ... ''

'' What do you want ? '' The question came again, Rosé's voice was harsh this time.

'' I want you back, Chaeng.'' There was no doubt in Suzy's heart. Rosé was the reason she came back.

'' And you think that coming here is going to solve everything? '' Rosé's eyes focused back on the lawyer.

'' I know i shouldn't have- '' Rosé interrupted her with words that Suzy wished she'd never had to hear.

'' No Suzy. No. You should not have come back at all. '' Her voice sounded as empty as her soul.

Suzy let a silent tear fall as she nodded '' I know that you don't understand.'' She said '' But i couldn't come back.''

'' Why? Tell me why? Why did you stop answering my calls and messages after two years ? Why did you stay there for six years? '' Rosé was starting to get mad.

'' Can you listen to me please ? '' Suzy took a steadying breath. She sat down, suddenly feeling weak '' M-M-My father passed away.'' She clenched her jaw to prevent herself from crying. Rosé's heart broke in thousand pieces when she saw how miserable Suzy looked. Tears streamed down the lawyer's cheeks

Rosé's eyes widened as she walked closer to her best friend and immediately wrapped her arms around Suzy and cried along, letting everything out with her.

'' I'm here, i'm right here Su.''

'' Do you want some water ? '' Rosé asked holding the glass in front of her best friend as she sat on the sofa. Suzy shook her head with such a lack of force and it was almost imperceptible to Rosé's eyes. 

'' When did that happen ? '' Rosé asked as she took Suzy's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.

'' Four years ago.'' Suzy sniffled as she wiped her tears with her hand. 

Rosé looked at her, that was exactly when her best friend stopped answering her calls '' Why didn't you tell me?'' Her voice was shaky '' How could go through something like this by yourself ? ''
