Thank you so much for giving My Rich Boyfriend so much love. I have to admit at first I was apprehensive about writing the story. I just wanted to put something light in this world after Our Innermost Demons. However, after the first chapters I quickly realised: I am not a comedy writer!

But through your numerous kind and motivating words, I couldn't stop and my passion for the story has grown along with you. I owe each and every one of you a big thank you for that!

The outline of the story was quite different! Jinki was supposed to be someone good from start to finish, and he was, but with a slight twist, I guess? I actually wanted Minho to recognise his privileges through Jinki and make him change because of Jinki, but that was stupid, because he has Taemin for that in this story. So I reversed his role and made him the `villain’. I thought that was a nice twist, since Jinki is such a warm person and is portrayed as such in most stories. Jinki's character was so small in my original imagination that I didn't mention him with a word in my original outline.

Also Minho was never supposed to become as naive as he ended up being in this FF. He was supposed to be calculated, someone who doesn't care about anything, just a real jerk. But since Minho has been my bias for over 10 years now, I couldn't do that to him 😁

Jonghyun was never planned to appear in this story. But it felt right to write him in and I didn't cry once when I wrote his name. It really took a load off my heart. Of course I wanted to incorporate Jonghyun into my old stories, but it was always so hard for me. But now I think I have found the strength. Thank you all for being so patient with me and understanding that I didn't have the strength before.
