 Mei's POV

 

The next morning I wake up to the sound of my alarm.Oh crap! I almost forgot class starts today!

 

I look around the room. It’s one of the guestrooms at Lu Han’s house. Was last night a dream? I fell asleep

in the car…then Lu Han must’ve carried me to this bed. Wow….

 

I notice there’s a note written in Chinese on the table. Lu Han wrote me a note? Ooops! I forgot to tell him

I can’t read or write Chinese. Wow, that’s embarrassing. I turn the note around and what do you know!

There’s English translated in the back:

 

Mei, I didn’t know if you could read Chinese, so I asked Kris to help me translate in case. I didn’t want to wake you up so early, so I’m leaving a note. Sorry I couldn’t say good-bye to you in person. Please forgive me. I’m leaving to China today after dance practice. Soo Man said we have to go over a couple days early to prepare for the comeback stage. Please take care while I am gone. Remember you promised to wait for me.

After reading the note, I sigh feeling a little sad.So Lu Han left? That’s was fast. Please come back soon.

 

I walk downstairs for breakfast after washing up and packing my things. Min Young is eating cereal while

reading a Korean magazine.

 

“Morning, Min Young!” I say cheerfully.

 

“Morning, Mei! So Lu Han left, huh? How are you feeling?” Min Young asks a little concerned.

 

“Oh, I’m fine.” I reassure her.

 

When we’re both done, we take the bus over to the University.

 

…

 

The days pass pretty quickly. I get engrossed in my physics project and almost forget about Exo for a

while. But on the day of Exo-K’s comeback, Min Young shows up with 2 tickets for their concert.

“Mei!Mei!Mei! Look what I have!” Min Young squeals in joy. “TICKETS TO EXO’S CONCERT!!!”

“Really?!!? We get to go?!?” I ask in surprise. Min Young nods before screaming in excitement.

 

…

 

When we arrive at the building where Exo is going to have their comeback, I notice that there are already

a lot of fans waiting outside. Many of them are from all over the world. They are screaming like crazy

fangirls, and when I turn to Min Young, she’s screaming just like them!

 

After a few minutes, the security guard lets us in to the building to find seats. Min Young and I push to

the very front, closest to the stage.

 

The lights go dim, and I see shadows walk on stage to get in position. Then the lights on the stage turn on

and the song begins. The members all dance in sync and the vocalists take turns to sing.

 

Baekhyun’s voice range is incredible! He has improved so much from the last time I heard him sing at Lu

Han’s house. D.O. and Su Ho’s voices are a stable and perfect pairing with Baekhyun’s. Chanyeol rap is

flawless.

 

Kai and Se Hun’s powerful dance moves make it hard to believe that it’s the same Kai that patted my back

the day I choked on that pancake, and the same Se Hun who’s such good friends with Min Young.

 

After they finish performing their new song, they proceed to perform some of their old ones because the

fans requested it.

 

I immediately recognize “Into Your World”, and it brings me back to the night Lu Han sang the Chinese

version of it for me. I close my eyes while I’m listening, and I can see Lu Han again.Please come back

soon….

 

 

Min Young’s POV

 

WHoooo!!! Exo’s concert!!!! That was so AMAZING!!! I think Mei’s starting to become a fan again even

after she lost her memory, now all that’s left is filling her brain with the all the Kdramas that she doesn’t

remember she watched. Haha!

 

When the concert ends, we head backstage to congratulate the members for executing such a great

performance. They all look exhausted but happy that the performance went well.

 

Se Hun runs over to me. “Min Young-ah, the members and I are going to go play basketball this afternoon

after we take a short break. Would you and Mei like to come and watch?”

 

“Oh, we would love to!” I quickly answer. “Then we can go out to dinner, right?”

 

“Yup!” Se Hun answers.

 

He runs back to his hyungs. They start to joke around and laugh. I turn to look at Mei and she’s seems to

be feeling a little awkward since she can’t understand Korean. I quickly tell her about watching Exo play

basketball. She’s seems a little distant, like maybe she has something else on her mind. Oh well, I’m just

excited to spend more time with Se Hun and the Exo-K members!

 

We ride over to the basketball court in Exo’s van. I’m sitting between Se Hun and Chanyeol, and Mei’s

sitting between Kai and Baekhyun. She seems a little uncomfortable, but smiles when the Exo members try

to talk to her in Korean.

 

“Min Young, so...how’s Mei’s relationship with Lu Han going? Is it…you know” Su Ho asks making a little

gesture not wanting to be too blunt.

 

“What do you mean?” I ask with a fake smile, pretending I don’t know what’s he’s talking about.

 

“Aish, how could you not understand what I just said?” Su Ho replies a little irritated.

 

I put on an innocent face. Haha, It’s fun getting Su Ho worked up. It’s obvious he’s trying to avoid asking

the question directly.

 

“He means, are Mei and Lu Han a couple now.” Kai interrupts a little annoyed at our childish conversation.

 

“Geez Kai, ruining all the fun.” I laugh. “Neh, Lu Han and Mei are a couple” I finally answer.

 

“That’s what I thought.” Su Ho adds.

 

“Ahhh,so it’s you and Se Hun, Mei and Lu Han…wow” Chanyeol says trying to make sense of it all.

 

“Ya, you all know Se Hun and I have known each other even before you guys debuted” I say. “We already

cleared up our relationship the last time I was in Korea 3 years ago. Don’t start making this a big deal

again.”

 

 “So Mei doesn’t know anything? You never told her it was all a set up?” Baekhyun asks a little surprised.

 

“Neh, Mei and I were apart for 6 years. I convinced her to apply to Harvard just to come to Korea. I

wanted to surprise her, so I didn’t tell her I had connections with Exo. I pretended it was my first time

back in Korea even though I come every summer to visit my grandparents. Then it was all a coincidence we

ran into Lu Han, and I just thought Mei and Lu Han were destined to meet. Se Hun and I then planned to

try and get them together. We weren’t sure about Lu Han’s feelings for Mei, but now, it’s quite obvious he

likes her.” I take a deep breath after explaining everything so the members won’t bring it up again. Thank

goodness, Mei doesn’t understand Korean or everything would be much harder to hide from her.

 

“Waa, what a touching story” D.O. jokes.

 

Baekhyun’s thinking intently trying to piece everything together. “I think I get it now” He finally says.

 

When we finally arrive at the basketball court, the Exo members jump out of the van and start stretching

out.

 

“Ya, are you ready to watch our awesome skills?” Se Hun shouts jokingly.

 

“Neh, have fun you guys! Mei and I will be sitting over by the bleachers.” I walk over to Mei. “Sorry about

the long Korean conversation in the van. They were just joking around, so I didn’t bother to translate.”

 

“That’s ok, I don’t want you to have to always translate every little thing” Mei says.

 

We sit in the bleachers and Exo starts playing.

 

 

Mei’s POV

 

The Exo members are pretty good at basketball. Min Young seems to really like watching them play acting

all cool. I never really enjoyed the sport because I was always too short. I try and pay attention to the

game, but then I start to daydream about Lu Han again.

 

Lu Han…that night…

 

“MEI!!!!” I hear Min Young suddenly scream.

 

I turn to look in the direction she’s pointing in. I see a ball hurling towards my face. Before I could realize

what was going on, it was already too late.

 

BANG!!!

 

Footsteps are rushing towards me.

 

“Kwenchana!?!?!?” I vaguely hear someone say before blacking out….
