It’s so obvious, but I’m surprised no one else has notice how hard Lu Han has fallen for Mei. I’ve known Lu

Han waaay too long to not be able to tell when he likes girl. It’s almost funny how he tries to hide it, and

Mei doesn’t even have the slightest clue. I’m sure the other guys will notice soon enough. Right now they’re

just having fun teasing him.

 

 

Mei’s POV

 

 

 

It’s pretty quiet this morning. Sunday’s are usually more relaxed, but because of Exo’s comeback stage in 4

days, this Sunday is a little busier. The members who have dance practice in the morning already left, and

only the guys who have vocal practice in the afternoon are sleeping in. Min Young and I are eating cereal at

the table.

 

“So what are your plans for today?” She asks me.

 

“I dunno, I was thinking about learning some of the new material for the first day of class tomorrow.” I

answer while eating a bite of cereal.

 

“Aww, come on Mei, you should think about having more fun on the weekends! We’re in Korea for crying out

loud!!” Min Young nudges my arm. “I, for one, am planning on spending the afternoon with Se Hun. We’re

going to take a walk along Cheonggyecheon*, and then we’ll go to the rooftop of a tall building and take

pictures of Seoul!!! Omo, you and Lu Han should come too! We can all go together!”

 

“That does sound like fun, but do you think Lu Han would want to spend his free time with me?” I ask a

little doubtful.

 

“Mei” Min Young looks at me seriously. “Lu Han is trying to come up with excuses to spend time with you.”

She winks.

 

“What do you mean?” I ask a little confused.

 

“Oh, you’ll see soon enough.” Min Young winks leaving me even more puzzled.

 

…

 

At 1:00 pm, Lu Han and Se Hun return from dance practice.

 

Min Young runs over before I even see them walk through the door. She speaks excitedly to them in

Korean and Lu Han smiles and nods eagerly. She must have told him about the plans already.

 

“Mei!” Lu Han looks at me and waves.

 

“Hi, Lu Han!” I wave back. Gosh, he’s so friendly.

 

Min Young comes and grabs my arm. “Let’s go get ready while Lu Han and Se Hun shower! Gaja!!”

 

In the guest bathroom, Min Young dumps out the contents of her make-up bag. There’s mascara, lip gloss,

eyeliner, foundation, concealer, lotion, an eyelash curler, various brushes…  

 

“Ok, I know you’ve never tried putting on make-up before, so I’m going to help you.” Min Young excitedly

grabs the mascara.

 

I stop her. “Wait, wait, not too much, please”

 

“Arasseo! I know you like to be comfortable and casual. I’m only putting a little.” Min Young quickly assures

me.

 

I allow her to continue. She proceeds to cover up any blemishes I have. It wasn’t long before she finished.

 

“Tada!” She pushes me to face the mirror.

 

I look at myself and realize that Min Young did quite a good job. I look natural, and it’s hard to tell I even

have makeup on. The difference is my skin looks flawless and my eyelashes are longer.

 

“Now, go pick a nice outfit to wear.” Min Young instructs.

 

I walk over to the closet obediently. Now, what to wear….

 

“You should wear this dress” Min Young suddenly walks over with a white summer dress with pink and

lavender flowers.

 

“Min Young. You know I never wear dresses.” I remind her.

 

“Just this once, please? It’ll look great on you.” Min Young brings out her puppy face again.

 

Not again. She sure knows how to take advantage of my weak points. The dress does look nice though…

 

“Fine, I’ll wear it” I say.

 

When we both finish, we walk out the room and see Lu Han and Se Hun dressed up really nicely. Not fancy,

but nice enough to see that they were indeed dressed up. When they saw us, their faces instantly lit up.

 

“Are you ready to go?” Lu Han asks with a smile warmer than sunshine.

 

“Umm, yeah” I answer.

 

We drive downtown and find a nice place to park the car. Then we walk over to Cheonggyecheon. There are

a lot of people there, so Lu Han and Se Hun had to put on sunglasses so people wouldn’t recognize them.

 

“It’s very beautiful.” I say to Lu Han.  

 

“I know, I was hoping you would like it.” He says.

 

We continue to walk and point at beautiful plants and children running around enjoying the nice weather. 

Everything was calm and peaceful when suddenly…

 

“Hyung!” I hear Se Hun shout while he sticks his hand in the stream and splashes water on Lu Han.

 

“Aish!” Lu Han runs over and they start splashing water at each other.

 

Min Young and I just stand and laugh. They look like they’re having so much fun. When they finish, they’re

both soaked, but the hot sun soon dries their clothes as we continue to walk.

 

The stream of Cheonggyecheon leads all the way to the Han River. When we get there we spend a few

moments to look at how dazzling the river is. We stare at its beauty…the way the sun shines over the Han

River is too majestic to describe with words.

 

We head over to a tall building with a skydeck and a restaurant. After eating a delicious meal, we climb up

to one of the highest floors and walk out to the balcony. The sky is already pretty dark now, and the city

lights are starting to come on.

 

The view is breathtaking. Min Young and Se Hun giggle and start taking pictures of themselves posing with

the V sign. Lu Han and I walk over to the other side and enjoy the view.

 

“I use to love looking at the city of Seoul. Its beauty is one of the reasons I decided to come to Korea and

audition for SM Entertainment.” Lu Han says to me while he gazes at the Seoul skyline. “I hope you will like

it as much as I do” He turns to me and smiles.

 

“I love it, Lu Han” I say while never taking my eyes off of the city.  

 

That’s when he walks behind me and wraps his arms around my shoulders. I was surprised and tense at

first, and I immediately felt myself blush uncontrollably. Then he started to sing the song “Into Your

World” softly, and I felt myself relax. It’s such a soothing song…

 

When the song ends, Lu Han pulls away. “Sorry if I scared you.”

 

“That’s ok, it was nice” I say. But it was more than just nice. It was wonderful.

 

“I’m guessing you’ve already heard about Exo’s comeback, so you probably know that I’ll be in China for a

while.” Lu Han continues.

 

“Oh yeah, Min Young told me about that. Best of luck to you and the other Exo-M members” I say trying

not to show I’m a little sad he’s leaving. A short moment passes…

 

“I….I like you Mei….Will you wait for me?” Lu Han confesses and looks directly into my eyes.

 

I’m shocked for a second. What did he just say? I almost think I’m dreaming, but the look in his eyes is

too real to miss.

 

“Ok, I…I promise I will” I say faltering a little, but firm enough to satisfy him.

 

Lu Han smiles and grabs my hand. We walk back to Se Hun who has his arm around Min Young’s shoulder.

They turn when they hear us coming and smile when they see us holding hands.

 

“Didn’t I tell you, you would find out soon enough?” Min Young laughs happily with an “I told you so” look.

 

The four of us return to the car and drive back home, and all I remember is falling asleep in passenger’s

seat…
