Adina groaned as her alarm went off. She still hadn't gotten her sleeping schedule fixed yet. Adina was up late laying in bed unable to call upon sleep. She finally slid out of bed when she remembered that she was hanging out with Chris today. Looking in the mirror, she huffed at her disheveled self before deciding to pull herself together. 

After hopping out of the shower, she checked her phone for the time. He was supposed to be here in two hours. "Ok Adina," she said to herself, "Let's look presentable." With the attention to detail that often made her late to dates and classes, she did her hair and make-up until she was pleased with the outcome. 

"Ok, now what to wear?" She still hadn't gotten all of her clothes unpacked but she was able to pull a cute outfit consisting of a light sweater and jeans. Once she was dressed she checked her phone again for the time, "Thirty minutes to spare. A new record." Adina plopped on the couch to wait. 

Her phone ding seeing she had a message from her friend Ami and Melissa. "! I probably should tell them I ate dessert with Bang Chan. They are going to lose their ," she giggled 

Ami: Girl why haven't we heard from you in a couple of days? 

Melissa: Probably cause she met someone. 😏 

Ami: I have my money on idol in a coffee shop. 

Melissa: I know that's what happened. 

Ami: And how do you know? 

Melissa: I have my ways. 

Adina: It was in a noodle shop. 

Ami: ...

Melissa: a noodle... Adina

Adina couldn't help but smile at her friends' excitement. Ami had predicted that this would happen. She checked the time to see that she didn't have that much longer till he would knock on her door. 

Adina: Yes?

Melissa: What's his name.

Adina: Christopher 

Ami: Chan?

Ami: Oh please let it be Chan.

Adina: Mhmm 

Ami: I ING KNEW IT 

Ami had in fact predicted that Adina would meet an idol. It was supposed to be a joke to raise her spirits but it had in fact become a reality. 

Melissa: Our girl is growing up. 

Ami: So... details. 

Adina: I'll tell you later. I'm about to go have lunch with him. Byeeee

Melissa: What the!

Ami: Get it, girl! Proud of you! 😘 

Adina bit her lip as she waited on the couch for Chris. She didn't have to wait long. A knock came at the door. After taking a couple of deep breaths to calm her nerves she got up and answer. Chris was leaning against the door frame with a smirk playing on his lips. He was in jeans and a jacket with a ball cap. 

"Hey." A smile formed with this greeting, "You ready?" 

"Yeah! Let me grab my jacket." Chris watched her as she quickly grabbed her things and followed him out the door. He slipped his mask on knowing full well that if it got out he went to lunch with her it could cause some problems even if they weren't dating. Dispatch can't tell the difference. 

"How long have you been living here?" Chris asked. 

"Only for about two weeks. Still trying to get used to the time change." 

"Yeah, I can see where that would mess you up. Have you been getting enough sleep?" 

"The answers will always be no," Adina giggled, "Even when I was home I only got maybe five hours if I'm lucky." 

Chris looked at her with a concerned look, "Why do you not get enough?" 

"My thoughts often keep me up at night." 

Chris was growing more concerned about her. it was in her passing comments that made him think she had been through a lot before moving here. 

"You know you can always text or call if you can't sleep." 

"You going to sing me to sleep?" She looked at him with a smile. 

"If it helps..." 

Adina was a little taken back at his genuine offer. She looked away from his to hide her blushing cheeks. Chris and Adina stopped at the entrance to the quaint bakery. Chris held the door open for her and followed her inside. Adina's eyes were wide looking at the various dishes she could pick from. 

"What do you normally get?" 

"Hmm, I like the egg sandwich here. It's a bit spicy. Don't know if that bothers you." 

"Maybe an omelet with coffee?" She mused. 

"Get whatever you want. My treat." 

"Chris," she whined. 

"What? I told you I was taking you here for lunch. You can get it next time." He winked as he placed their order and took the table number. Adina followed him into a quiet corner of the bakery where they could relax from the public gaze. 

"So, what did you do yesterday?" He asked as he took off his mask. 

"I went shopping for the apartment. Needed a few things to make it feel more like home." 

"What did you get?" 

"Mostly plants. I used to have a garden back home." A waitress sat their food and coffee on their table. 

"I feel like I would not be a good plant father." Chris took a bite of his sandwich. 

"Bad plant father?" She giggled, "Why do you say that?" 

"I killed my mum's orchid back home." 

"How?" Adina asked

"I forgot to water it." She couldn't help but laugh. "Hey! It's not funny! My mum was so pissed at me." Chris discovered how much he genuinely loved hearing her laugh. It was such a pure sound to him. They both took a few bites of their food in silence. Adina was enjoying how good it was and took a mental note that it was on her route to the bus station. 

"Was there anything else you needed to get for the apartment?" Chris asked. 

"You wanna tag along in my shopping?" 

"Mhmm," he answered while nodding his head. 

"Ok, well please don't make fun of me but I wanted to go check out the music store down the street. Might not be the best idea for today though." 

"Why" 

"Why?" Adina repeated, "Do you forget sometimes that you're an idol?"

"Oh... well as long as I don't speak English I should be fine." It wouldn't be the first time he had gone into a music store since his debut.  

"May want to tuck in your blond hair though." 

Chris just simply pulled his hood over his hat. "Done!" 

"Tsk. Fine but you can't make fun of me." 

"Why would I make fun of you?" 

"Some guys make fun of girls buying kpop merch." Adina suddenly realized how stupid she sounded saying that to an idol. "Ok, maybe you won't." 

"No, I won't," he giggled finishing his sandwich he eyed her almost finished plate. She knew he was eying it wanting a bite so she immediately downed the last few bites. He chuckled. "Ready?" Adina nodded her head in response. 

It wasn't busy in the music store when they got there. Adina browsed through the albums till she got to the Stray Kids section. She picked up the latest album eyeing Chris for a reaction. 

"How many albums do you have?" He asked. Him speaking in Korean threw her off since most of the time they had spoken to each other in English. 

"A lot. They're just packed up. I haven't gotten this one. I was saving money for my move when it came out." As she was about to walk off she snatched another copy. 

"Two?" Chris asked with a smirk. 

"Yeah." 

"Why?" A sly smirk grew on his slips behind his mask. She quickly turned around and head to the next section. "You're not answering the question," he sung.  

"Fine, if you must know I have a photo card for every member except Bang Chan," She harshly whispered. Her face grew flush and she quickly went to look in the BTS section. She didn't need anything there. She was up to date on all of their albums but she desperately wanted to avoid his playful gaze. 

"You know, if you wanted a photo card you could've just asked me." His voice in her right ear sent shivers down her spine. 

"Do you want to get smacked?" She playfully asked. He chuckled as he let her past him to pay for her albums. He watched her excitedly buy them. It was actually kinda nice watching a fan get excited about buying an album especially one he was growing more and more fond of. 

"Ok, that's all I needed... or really wanted. You wanna help me unpack all of my albums?" 

"Yeah! Sounds good." He fell into step with her. As they exited the store Adina almost froze at what sounded like a familiar voice. Her eyes quickly scanned the area but saw no familiar faces. 

'Calm down Adina. He has no idea where you are.'
