"Bae Joohyun?"
Irene nodded, her eyes frowning at the sight of a delivery man. She always knew the last letter she had sent would be like a bullet to Junmyeon's ego and a reply at her door would be inevitable. She took the envelope, examining the elegant of Junmyeon's purple pen. It didn't excite her anymore, should she be dancing in the clouds because he remembered her favorite color?
Throwing the delivery on one of the couches in her room she hurried back out, locking her door while swallowing down the fact that he might have written back only to make her lose confidence in herself. Now that she was finally content with someone who respected the flaws in her body and actually liked her, Junmyeon must be burning because he couldn't imagine her being liked. You won't ever be able to tell him that you like him, she was expecting that sentence written in the letter sitting on her bed, you'll never hear him say that he loves you.
okay

The vibrations made her check her phone and the messages made her smile. She had successfully squeezed in a date in his busy schedule. He could give her two hours before he left for his work at the cake shop and then he had his night classes to attend. So she wasn't to waste a second. She signed her name in the space the delivery man showed her before climbing down the stairs, almost dancing as she did.
With his hands plunged into the pockets of his jeans, he was standing there, observing Cornelia Street with awe in his golden eyes. He was so tall, and handsome as hell, and he'd get her heartbeat skipping down the streets they walk while holding their hands. He made the perfect man and what was even more charming was that he didn't know that. Irene wanted to show him that, that he was the best, that he made her heart flutter like no one ever did before. It was so perfect, whatever they had. Each day, they were growing and expanding and getting to know each other. Each day, he made her daydream, he made her want things she used to think she wasn't deserving of.
She quickly scribbled something on her notepad before running to him and tapping his shoulder twice. Sehun turned to her with inquiring eyes, as if he was expecting a stranger but then his lips curled up to his ears when he saw her.
Hello, boyfriend.
She showed him what she had written for him. Sehun took her notebook in his hand and caressed the two words with his thumb, chuckling at the hearts she had drawn all around them. A blush climbed up his cheeks when he said, "Hello, girlfriend."
Irene reached out to pinch his cheeks. Her heart bloomed with the spring in his eyes. Sehun took her hand and began pulling her towards the bus stop. The destination was his apartment because she had whined about being even. There was no way anyone would guess he was younger than her. It was the way he carried himself, in his voice which he barely used, in his eyes that did the talking most of the time, that made him older than her.
There was a note written on the wall in a large paper. Walk straight to your right and DON'T look anywhere else. Unable to contain her curiosity, Irene stared around as he kept their shoes inside the rack beside the door. The apartment wasn't all that messy, not as much as he complained about it. Suddenly there were tall fingers blocking her view, making her laugh silently at his effort to hide the signs of recently moving in scattered all around the house. Sehun led her straight to her right before letting her go.
Her eyes lit up with excitement at the sight of his room. His living space had a very manly scent and it flooded her senses. She smiled with her eyes closed, his room smelled just like him, like the scent he had left behind on her pillows two days ago and she liked that so much. There were so many books on his shelves. Dead Zone, Pet Sematary, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Bastard of Istanbul, all the names she was familiar with but her heart yearned to read romance and romance all the freaking time. The different coloured necks of his books were the only spot of rainbow in his room. Gray curtains kept the sun outside, white inviting blanket piled on top of his gray pillows on the bed. There was a long mirror next to his study desk which was cluttered with papers and open books. Perhaps he didn't get the time to fix that one corner.
He came back to her side with food and her eyes lit up with delight. She was about to take the plate of whatever he had baked but he withdrew the plate to himself, "Wash your hands first," he reminded. Irene pursed her lips before dragging her feet to his bathroom. Now the scent of his body was even closer to her nose. It was in the soap he used and in the aftershave and in the shampoo and she felt like staying there for an hour.
When she returned, Sehun was shoving the curtains to the side. And as if he hadn't noticed her shuffling, he stood there for quite some time, smiling to himself as if he was happy at this moment in life. She walked towards him and stood beside him, trying to find what he was staring at. Noticing her, the smile widened on his lips. "I don't have much planned. What would you like to do?"
She was like a light bulb, but the light in her eyes never turned off, th
