My name is Kim Minju. Really, at this point, you should already know my name. I am, but only, the top student at Xavier Institute for Higher Learning in X-Mansion. It is a school for mutants like me. People with powers.

Our school holds exhibition tournaments, where students within levels have a duel. The champion will be the top of their level. Champions of each level get to be promoted to the next level, while the last placer gets demoted. Mutants of the same level take up the same class. There are some other ways to level up. Exams. Drills. Test. But where's the fun in that?

Exhibition tournament happens twice a year. I have already been the champion in the first exhibition of the year. Well, I just have to be the champion of this coming exhibition too. What's new? I have been a champion for 5 tournaments already. Too bad I'm from the highest level class so there will be no leveling up for me. But, what can I say, the pride and glory are enough to make me win again and again.

"Hey, Minju! Are you prepared for the next exhibition tournament?" asked Yuri.

"Me? I don't need to prepare." I said cockily and gave them a wide grin.

"Ohhh as expected from our Minju." said Nako.

"Why don't you play a little bit more. To make the game more exciting?" said Hitomi.

I ponder for a while. Hmmmm.... I haven't told you, my powers. I am a rare case mutant. They call me a half-mutant because my powers are limited. I have telekinesis but  I can only use it 7 times a day, 10 seconds each time. With these limitations, I make sure that I don't use my powers more than 3 times and my battles are mostly done within a minute.

This used to be my insecurities. Until I discovered that my powers are as strong as I make them to be, I just have to use it wisely and strategically. With that, I manage to climb up to the highest level, and no one ever doubts my powers. Well, some still do, and that leads them to what? Well, just a shameful defeat in the exhibition tournament. I made sure of that.

Because of my powers, people believed that I am a direct descendant of the Dark Phoenix, herself. I'm not sure about that but what can I say? It feels nice hearing it.

"Hmm... I don't know Hii-chan. I might just do that." I smirked at her.

"Ohhh this is going to be exciting!" Nako exclaimed.

"What about you, Yuri? Have you been preparing?" I asked her with a teasing smile.

Yuri puffs her cheeks clearly frustrated. "I will make sure that Yena will pay for humiliating me!"

"Calm down, Yuri. She just tried her best to win after all." Hitomi said while patting her shoulders.

"Did you even see what she did to mee?!?! She drowned me and she made her water rose until I was open for everyone to see. Struggling to get air. That was uncalled for!!" Yuri was now pulling her hair out of her scalp. She was obviously going to lose her mind. I tried to stop myself from laughing.

"Well… she did do that to you, and it was uncalled for, but it wasn't that bad." Hitomi tried to assure her. She obviously sounded unsure herself.

"WASN'T that bad?? Everybody was laughing at me! They were humiliating me after the tournament! And you're telling me it WASN'T that bad??" Yuri's nose was now flaring, her face is red. Very red. She looks like her hea
