Suddenly, breathing becomes harder. I tried to take deep breaths but my chest seems to have a hard time taking in air. I clutched my chest in hopes of relieving the constricting of my chest. I quietly take in short breaths gasp for air.

"Minju?"

I awkwardly cleared my throat. I forced my breathing to be normal until my lungs ease up. We stayed silent for another minute or so. Until she finally spoke.

"Where are you..?"

I heard her sigh.

"Are you angry with me?

It was obvious in her voice that she was already crying. I felt my chest constrict painfully again. I clutched my chest hard to the point where my knuckles are turns white. I took one deep shaky breath.

"I don't hate you. I can't possibly do that." I spoke in soft whisper. Afraid that if I speak any louder, my voice will break or shake.

"Can you come back to the dorm?

I'm really worried about you."

She said in a pleading, crying voice.

I sigh. "I'm safe. Don't worry about me. I just want to be alone." I whispered.

"Is it because of me? Do you

have to be away from me?"

I closed my eyes tightly, a tear escaping from one of them. I clenched my jaw for a few moments before releasing it. "I'll be back soon. Don't wait for me. Go back to your room and sleep. I'll be there before the sun rises. I promise."

I didn't wait for her to finish as I hung up on her. I turn off my phone and stared back into the night sky. I left my tears to dry in my cheeks.
