“It’s okay, Sica. Really” said Taeyeon. Last night, her Dad suddenly collapsed and just two hours on the ICU, he’s gone. He got the cardiac arrest at home and Mrs. Kim brought her immediately to the hospital. Jiwoong and Taeyeon drove back to Jeonju but as soon as they arrived, her Dad is gone

“I can book the ticket right now” said Jessica, her voice is cracked as she knows how Taeyeon always praised her Dad; she loved her Dad so much

“No, Jessica. You don’t need to be here. I’m fine, really” Taeyeon assured her girlfriend. They were silent for one minute until Taeyeon hears Jessica is crying on another side

“Baby…” Taeyeon called Jessica; she remembered how her Dad always say to her for not making her girlfriend cry, and now she failed

“Sorry, Taeyeon” said Jessica in the middle of her hiccups, “I should be comforting you but now I just crying a mess”

“Don’t cry, Sweetheart. It makes me sad”

They talked around thirty minutes later and Jessica excused herself to sleep, it’s still late night on another side of the world

“Jessica?” Jiwoong takes a seat beside her younger sister on the floor. Both of them exhausted enough after restless night and endless guest to serve for today

“Yeah”

“Is she coming?”

“I told her for not coming” Taeyeon fixed her seat, “She’s already sad enough when I texted her about this since I often tell her about Dad. I won’t make her burdened by coming here”

“You are so considerate” Jiwoong extended his arm to hugs her sister, “Dad would be proud of you”

Sunny yawned when Sooyoung’s car entered the highway. The couple is driving to Jeonju to visit Taeyeon after two days ago the midget told them that her Dad was gone. On the next morning, Jessica called Sunny and cried to her best friend because she was unable to come to Korea because her girlfriend said so

“Jessica must be disappointed because she wants to come” said Sooyoung

“Of course, based on her wail yesterday” Sunny sighs, “At least, Taeyeon concerned about her mental health. Krystal texted me to update about her sister so we don’t need to worry”

“I worry about their relationship, actually”

“Why?”

“Taeyeon gave so much efforts while she blocked Jessica’s attempts” said Sooyoung while turned the car to the right lane, “I’m afraid if Jessica feels unwanted because of this”

“We need to give both sides our references” Sunny chuckled, “Krystal texted me too, she asked is it okay for her to get Taeyeon’s number’

“Did you give it to her?”

“I’m going to ask Taeyeon first, but practically I said to Krystal that she needs to reach Taeyeon too. We have no idea about Jessica’s condition at all. Krystal’s message would be the helper”

“I wish it could help them”

“Aunty Kim! We miss you so much!” Sunny hugged the older woman as soon as she opened the door for the couple, “My parent gave me these, Sooyoung’s too”

“Aigoo, thank you so much” Mrs. Kim received some boxes from them. Taeyeon steps closer and smiled to her friends who drove all the way to Jeonju. After helped her mom to put the boxes, she’s back to her room where her friends are. Sooyoung already sprawled on the bed; Taeyeon knows she’s so tired since she’s absent for the intern, Sooyoung took all of her task

“Thank you for coming, are you guys planned to have sleepover?” Taeyeon asked while takes a chair beside her table

“Yep, since tomorrow is Sunday” said Sunny while smiling, “Sooyoung is dead tired”

“I covered this midget’s work” Sooyoung playfully howled, “Sechan Oppa already missed you because the client is looking for the best landscape view, which is your greatest ability”

‘I’ll be back on the next Monday, don’t worry” Taeyeon reassured her friend. On their last semester, they had intern on Sooyoung’s Dad office and both of them have fun there

“Anyway, Taeyeon-ah. Krystal asked your number” said Sunny

“Krystal? Jessica’s sister?”

“Yeah” Sunny nods, “I think you need to know about Jessica from another perspective” Sunny explained

“We won’t see you suffered alone, or maybe Jessica hides something from you” Sooyoung added, “It’s been almost two years”

“Time flies” Taeyeon sighed. Her eyes drifted to the polaroid photo on her study desk, the photo of Jessica and her smiled happily to the camera. Taeyeon had much of polaroid photo of Jessica.

“Taeyeon, remember what you said two years ago. Relationship are two sides; you can’t be in relationship if you think you just struggled alone. That’s called lonely, not because you feel lovely” said Sooyoung, “We care about you and Jessica”

“Thank you” Taeyeon hung her head down, her emotion is overwhelmed

“Here” Sunny extended her arms and hugs her friend, earned a low scoff from Sooyoung

“Should I fly to LA and hug Jessica?”

“Yah, come here” Sunny giggled and let her girlfriend hugs them both

“Think about Jessica too. Maybe your decision is the best, but let Jessica knows the reason behind” said Sunny before they joined Taeyeon’s family for a dinner

“Eat a lot, Jess” Mrs. Jung pats Jessica’s head after put a bowl of rice in front of her. Her eldest daughter just came back from her session with psychiatrist

“Thank you, Mom. Where’s Soojung?”

“She went outside with your Dad, buying something if I’m not mistaken. Anyway, how about the session? Did Dr. Rachel say yes about your upcoming plan to Korea?”

“Good news, Mom” Jessica smiled, “Dr. Rachel said I could be back to Korea”

“Dad and I will be there too. We want to meet Kim Taeyeon” Mrs. Jung smiled

Jessica nods, even though she still feels the love from the older girl, seems like Taeyeon is distant. When Jessica asked Sunny about it, the shorter girl laughed because there’s no way Taeyeon would be cheating behind her back

“Taeyeon would be happy too, Mom” said Jessica before finished her bowl

“Sis, have you purchased the ticket? Dad asked” Krystal entered Jessica’s room after the dinner. The younger Jung takes a seat on the bed while Jessica leaned on the headboard, “You look bothered”

“I feel like Taeyeon maybe had a fling” Jessica grunted while looking at her phone, “She seems distant”

“Wha…. Wow, I never thought you would think about that” Krystal shook her head, “She might be just busy”

“Now, you take her side”

“Why would I not?” Krystal chuckled, “Based on your story, Taeyeon Unnie seems loyal and stick to her promise. Maybe you guys just bored about this LDR”

“I haven’t told her about the plan, Mom and Dad want to meet her”

“You can say to her when you arrived, Unnie” Krystal smiled

“Wow, you such a good girl now. Giving Unnie so much advises”

“Of course, I’m Jung Soojung” Krystal cockily replied, “It’s time to sleep. Have a good sleep, Unnie”

Krystal closed her door. She immediately took her phone and texted Taeyeon about Jessica’s condition today. Well, she left the plan about meeting her parent because she wants Jessica to tell her by person

Krystal hopes Taeyeon aware about Jessica’s change behavior because the continuous therapy sessions indeed very exhausted for Jessica

She can’t wait for the next story of Taeyeon and her sister
