Taeyeon met Jessica for the first time when the younger girl came with her father to her house. She’s fixing the old motorcycle from her grandparents with her Dad when the Jungs arrived

“Hey Johnny!” Mr. Kim waves his hand, “You said you will be coming at 3”

“Ah well, my princess was throwing a tantrum since this morning so I decided to come here faster. Her Mom already went off this morning” Mr. Jung chuckled, “Jess, do you want to play with Taeyeon or you come with Dad to golf area?”

“That’s a good idea” Mr. Kim wiped his hand, “So Taeyeon wouldn’t spend her Sunday afternoon at her room, playing game as usual”

Taeyeon eyeing Jessica who stands beside her father. Well, Taeyeon knows Jessica since both of them attend SM high school, the best private high school in this town, ruled by the Lee’s group. Taeyeon and Jessica are the opposite, Taeyeon is well-known as the smart- in the second year, among 100 students. SM high school had the unique mechanism for having the grade for the 100 students each year and announced it twice in every semester. “That’s fine. I can go with her to the shopping area or else” Taeyeon dusted her short, “I guess I would be bored too for this afternoon”

Despite the nerd-look from Taeyeon, Jessica knows she’s well-dressed. She just like to wear something comfortable on her daily basis

The reason why Jessica is bad mood for today is because she just broke up with her girlfriend, Kwon Yuri. The entire school know that, since Jessica and Yuri are popular students at the second year; also, Jessica is bestowed as the girlfriend of the years by the school population at the annual party of the school

Taeyeon stopped her car at the Myeong-dong area. She has no idea to entertains Jessica though, they never talk at the school. They just met when their parent had a meeting at the party or another occasion. Basically, their parents are friend but not them

“Why are we there?” Jessica questioned as soon as unbuckled her seatbelt and follows Taeyeon

“I have no idea” Taeyeon shrugged, “You keep sighing, daydreaming and ignoring me”

“Sorry” Jessica smiled, “So much things to think about”

“About Yuri?” Taeyeon tried to look natural, the last thing she wants to see is Jessica might be mad or cry in the middle of people like this. And hell, this is her first time talking to Jessica without her parents around. She pointed at the small café and Jessica agreed to going inside. She ordered ice lemon tea while Taeyeon with her Vanilla latte

“Yeah. Taeyeon, do you think I’m a bad girlfriend?”

“Huh? I don’t know” Taeyeon scrubs her nape, “People talked about you but I never been interesting about that”

“You are not interested in me?” Jessica pouted cutely, which makes Taeyeon laughs

“Well, we never talk beside our parents around. At the school we rarely met though. I just know you as the ace of English debate club”

“Then I just know you as the best pitcher of our softball team, the choir member and also, the member of three best student at second year along with Cho Kyuhyun and Ok Taecyeon”

“You know well about me” Taeyeon laughs again, “I felt proud”

“You are so well-known” Jessica rolled her eyes, “Besides, people often look at me because I won that silly award last year”

“That’s not silly. That’s the prove that you are so charming”

“You don’t find me charming though”

“Oops”

“Anyway, I was wrong about you”   

“Huh?” Taeyeon plays with her straw, “What is it?”

“I thought you are boring person”

“Sunny called me like that” Taeyeon chuckled, “I know I am”

“You seem boring at the start” Jessica grinned, “But I saw you as the good listener”

“I don’t like to being chatty. Different with Sunny or IU” Taeyeon mentioned her best friend, “Well, different with your best friend, that Hwang girl”

“Tiffany is super loud. You can hear her voice from the end of hallway at the school”

Both of them laugh and sipped their drink

“Thanks for having me today, Taeyeon” said Jessica when Taeyeon finished her drink, “Tiffany isn’t home, so do Irene and Yoona. I’m bored as hell and my Dad decided to bring me because I looked so stoic today”

“That’s good. I had the great experience with the most wanted girlfriend in the school” Taeyeon teased, “Maybe I will earn some haters after this”

“Taeyeon!” Jessica punches her arm while pouting

“Oops. I never heard that this Jessica is violent”

“And I never heard that this Taeyeon is so lame and funny. I thought she just talking with her game”

“Trust me, I like to spend my time with game than with people” Taeyeon laughs again, “People at some points”

“Can’t agree more”

“So, why were you broke up with Yuri? People said you and her made the greatest couple of this year”

Jessica sighed

“Oh well, if you won’t talk about it. Then let’s go” Taeyeon pats Jessica’s hand and proceed outside. When Jessica realized that the shorter girl paid their bill, she abruptly stood and chased after her

“You don’t need to pay my drink” Jessica frowned because Taeyeon already done with the bill

“Don’t worry, it doesn’t cost so much” Taeyeon crumpled the bill and throws it into the dustbin, “Do you want to go home or walking around?”

“Maybe walking around is a good idea” Jessica replied, “The weather is good”

Taeyeon nods in agreement. She lets Jessica decided the direction. They enjoyed their afternoon by sightseeing. Jessica likes to see the pet around, some cute things at the store also some street performers which so abundant at Myeongdong area

“Thanks for today” said Jessica when Taeyeon dropped her in front of the gate of her house

“I’m sorry I can’t come in. Onew called me for having a match tonight” Taeyeon grinned

“Geez, you and your game” Jessica rolled her eyes

“You need to try PUBG, Jessica. Or Mobile Legend”

“No, no need”

“Hahaha, just go”

“Anyway, promised me that we will talk when we meet at the school”

“Hahaha, sure. See you soon, Jessica”

“You must be crazy” said Tiffany while laughs, they are having a lunch at cafeteria with Yoona and Irene, their “gang” even though both of them from first year

“I found Taeyeon sunbaenim is funny sometimes” said Irene while munching her pasta, “Right, Yoong?”

“Yep” Yoona nods in agreement. Both Irene and Yoona are the member of softball team with Taeyeon, “She’s not that chatty, anyway. How could you make her say so much words?”

“I don’t know” Jessica shrugs, “She talked with me first, being funny and all”

“Maybe she likes you” Tiffany stated which makes Jessica choked on her drink, “Geez, slowly”

“She said she’s not interested at me” Jessica wiped , “Besides, I just broke up with Yuri”

“Then it’s time to move on” Yoona waves her hand like a mad woman, “Yuri sunbaenim and Taeyeon sunbaenim are the different people, I know them since they are the aces of our team. But I like Taeyeon sunbaenim more”

“Me too!” Irene added

Maybe Irene and Yoona right, Taeyeon is easy to like. Besides her calm attitude, she’s lovely for having around. Jessica drifted her eyes across the cafeteria and finds Taeyeon is eating with her group, Sunny and IU. The group of three aren’t talking much and she could see Taeyeon suddenly raised her face. Their eyes meet and Taeyeon smiles, her cute dimple smile, according to Tiffany’s examination, and Jessica couldn’t help to blush

“I see you already like her, Jess” Tiffany whispered, “Don’t worry, she’s single”

“Tiff” Jessica hissed

“Hehe” Tiffany stood, “We’re done, right? Let’s go back to class”

“See you soon, Unnies!” Irene and Yoona waved their hands when they apart outside cafeteria. Jessica once again glanced back and Taeyeon already behind her

“Back to class?” she suddenly asked which makes Jessica jerked

“You scare me” Jessica whined

“Oops” Tiffany laughed besides, “Sorry, Tae. This girl is easy to zoning out”

“Had experienced that” Taeyeon chuckled, “I’ll see you around, Sica”

“See you!” Jessica replied with the widest smile that she ever had for today

After the encounter at the cafeteria, Jessica and Taeyeon grew closer. Tiffany is the one who realized that her American best friend is slowly falling with the shorter girl

They often meet after Jessica had her English club, or when the softball team is having their usual exercise. It surprises Tiffany since the brunette never once came closer into the field behind their school building complex
