Aeyoung exhaled as Kun pulled her towards his car, they were already at the building’s basement, away from all the eyes.

“Kun,” She said as she yanked her arm from him, Kun halted and faced her.

“Meiyin, I~”

“What are you doing?” She spoke to him, Kun could see the anger in her eyes.

“I just~”

“You already escaped that, Kun. You’re already so far away from all that, and yet you still want in? Are you crazy?” She questioned, Kun grew confused.

“What are you talking about?”

“You don’t have to get into my family drama, Qian. You’re..supposed to just stay quiet and watch, you’ve done enough.”

“Your mother was berating you in public, you expect me to stand by and watch?”

“Kun, we…are no longer together, you don’t have to do this for me. For crying out loud, you’re almost a married man.” She shot back, feeling frustrated with him. Kun stopped, his forehead creasing.

“Mei~”

“Kun, you…you left me. You broke my heart, what else do you want?” She said, her voice getting hoarse.

“I didn’t want people to see you~”

“My mother’s a mess, everyone in the company knows that, so please,” Aeyoung weakly pushed him away from her.

“I appreciate everything you’ve done for me, but, please, stay out of it. And, you’ll never have to hear from me again.”

“Meiyin~” He noticed the tears rolling down her cheeks, he looked away, feeling as if his own heart was being crumpled.

No. It’s not supposed to be this way.

Aeyoung sighed, she took out her car keys from her purse.

“I don’t think continuing being friends is a good idea too, Qian. Let’s just stop, it’s not healthy.”

Jeno watched as his mother threw out his sister’s belongings out the front door, he crossed his arms and exhaled. Her clothes, shoes, bags and makeup, were all scattered down the curb.

His eyes went to Kim Jiwook, he couldn’t help but notice the smug aura coming off him.

Jeno closed his eyes briefly, he knew that if he tried stopping his mother now, they would start fighting and he would also be sent out of the house.

His sister needed somebody in the house.

And then, Corvette rolled into the property, Jeno grew slightly amused when he noticed Kim Jiwook straighten up as soon as he recognized the vehicle.

Aeyoung slid down from the car, her eyes went to her mother and to what she was doing, she looked on, not a single expression passed on her face.

“You!” Miss Jing raced to her, Jeno flinched and went down the front steps.

“Get out of this house! Never show your face here!” She yelled at the girl, Jeno stepped between the two.

“Ma, don’t~”

“Stop taking her side, Lee Jeno!” She pushed him out of the way, Jeno was about to move again, but Aeyoung shook her head at him.

“Fine, do what you want, ma.” She spoke, her tone soft and controlled. Jeno paused, something was wrong. His eyes went to his sister.

“Do everything you want, have it your way. But, let me guarantee you one thing,” Aeyoung stated as she took another step towards her mother.

“Drag Kun into this again, and I will really show you what I can do.”

“See? You’re putting him into the picture again. You’ve always been needy~”

“Needy? Look at you!” Aeyoung shouted back, Jeno took a step back.

“You’re playing house with a man half your age. You even let him ruin our family!”

“Don’t you dare~”

“And, don’t worry, miss Jing.” Aeyoung said, her tone venomous.

“I’ll show you just how needy I can be. First thing on my list is,” She said as she opened her car’s door.

“I need your so-called fiancé out of the picture. And I’ll make sure that happens.” She winked before getting inside the vehicle, Jeno watched as his sister sped off the property.

“Jeno~”

“You started this war, ma. Good luck.” He said before going back to the house.

Hendery scratched the back of his neck as he watched his cousin down another bottle. He turned his head towards the bunch of destroyed drink glasses on the floor and the other empty bottles.

“Ge,” He said as he took the seat beside him, the whole wine room was now a mess.

“What do you want?” Kun spoke as he sat up, Hendery noticed his cousin’s bloody fist. He turned his head and noticed the broken glass panel across them.

“What happened? This…isnt’ you.”

Kun exhaled and closed his eyes, Hendery stared to grow concerned. His cousin was never the drunkard, Kun wasn’t the type to drink until he could no longer stand.

And looking at him now, Hendery had a feeling that Kun may not be even able to walk back towards his room without bumping into everything.

Which led him to one thing, something must have happened. Something so big that it drove his usually calm and collected older cousin to act like this.

“Did something happen with Anqi? Are they pressuring you with the date again?”

“Meiyin.” Kun said, his tone soft.

Hendery turned to his cousin, he could see it in his eyes now.

Qian Kun was hurting.

“Ge, what~”

“I was an idiot back then, no, I was a .” Kun said as he pushed the bottle away from him, Hendery poured himself a glass.

“You regret leaving her.” He stated, Kun nodded back.

“I hurt her.”

“I still don’t understand why…why you had to do that. She was..She’s always been perfect for you.” Hendery stated, Kun looked away, letting his tears roll down his cheeks.

“I was..I didn’t want to suffocate her.”

“What?”

Kun looked at his cousin, his forehead creased briefly.

“We’ve been together for so long, and ma and pa wanted me to propose.”

Hendery turned to face him, stunned.

“And, you broke~”

“It was around that time when Meiyin was so against the concept of marrying, her father just passed away then. She…Now, I understand her fear, her father’s passing broke her mother. And, I couldn’t understand that.”

“Ge,”

“I know, I left her when she needed me the most.”

“She just needed time. The Meiyin jie I know, she would never~”

“I am aware of that, I am aware of what I lost.” Kun breathed, Hendery frowned and shook his head.

“What are you going to do now?”

Kun let out a shaky breath and faced his cousin.

“I have to fix everything. I can’t marry another girl.”

The Corvette pulled to a full stop in front of the two story villa, as soon as her shoe hit the ground, the front door opened widely and a tall male stepped out of the house.

“Aeyoung-ah,” Her older cousin smiled as he waved her in, and then he turned his head towards inside the house again.

“Hyung, princess is here!” He called, Aeyoung approached him and then he froze as he noticed the look on her face.

“Aeyoung-ah, why~”

Aeyoung started to violently shake her head and let her tears escape her eyes, the older male panicked before pulling the girl towards him.

“What’s going on, who~” The older male appeared by the stairs and his eyes widened when he saw the girl crying. He looked at the other male questioningly, but he could only shrug back. He looked around them, his head tilted when he realized that Kun wasn't with their cousin.

He paused before looking at her again, he went down the steps quickly.

“Aeyoung-ah,” He rushed towards the two, she was sobbing.

“Oppa, I….I can’t do this anymore.” She choked as she pulled away from him, she faced the two males.

“What happened? Are you hurt?” The eldest male asked, he gave the younger one a look and he nodded before disappearing to the study.

“I did it, I had him kicked out, but, eomma…eomma’s blocking everything. She’s even cancelled some of my projects.” She murmured, the older male took her hand and walked her towards the living room.

“Oppa, fix this for me.” She said to him, her eyes red and cheeks streaky.

“I tried…I tried to fix this on my own, but I can do it. She keeps on attacking me, and never takes my side. And, I have so much going on right now, I know this is a lot, but~”

“Aeyoung-ah, it’s okay. Oppa will fix it.” He said to her with a small sad smile, the younger male returned with his phone.

“I was kicked out of the house, oppa.” She announced, the younger one sat down beside her.

“Then, stay here with us. We’re family, remember?” He said before wrapping one arm around her shoulder and rubbed her back soothingly.

“Stop crying, Aeyoung-ah. You already told us that something like this would happen. For now, let us help you.”

Aeyoung looked at the eldest male again, he was on the phone, speaking in hushed tones.

“Let’s do it, oppa. Let’s switch places.” She said, the two males paused and looked at her.

“It’s time.” She said again.

“Okay, oppa will fix this for you. Let’s take care of that motherer once and for all.” He smiled as he leaned down to brush her hair away from her face.

“He’s the reason why things are hard for you, we’ll have to finish him.”
