After they had their lunch,

The girls went to Merry-Go-Round once again.

 

“Yes,the minions aren’t here anymore” excites Yena.

“Yehetttt we’re winning this fake horses rides!!” Yujin join the excited sugar rushed teenagers.

“Squad, Let’s Get This Ride!” Sakura urged them.

The three formed a pact with their fists.

 

They looked at Chaeyeon who was dumbfounded by what was happening.

 

Yena tilted her head, inviting Chaeyeon to join the pact.

 

When Chaeyeon complete the quad, Yujin charismatically say,

“Peasants, We are the fantastic four! Let’s get this ride!”

 

The three lift their hands up to the air after.

Sakura loudly say, with her finger pointing to Merry-Go-Round, “We ride at lunch!”

 

Chaeyeon honestly do not understand this over reaction just for a Merry-Go-Round ride.

It’s not like they are going for a war or what.

 

Yujin and Yena took the seats in front of Sakura.

While Chaeyeon, took the horse next to her.

(We been knew. Whipped culture. 🤷🏾‍♀️)

 

When the ride begins, Yujin made a wailing horse sounds, making the quad laugh.

Yena followed with her quacks and Sakura with her puppy whimpers.

They were having so much fun making weird noises.

Laughing and screaming.

Feels like they were on their own Merry-Go-Round. 

 

Chaeyeon look at Sakura. 

‘Even her side profile a killer’

Then her gaze went down to the latter’s lips and ears.

She notices that every time Sakura laugh out loud, her nose scrunches.

And if that was not enough, everytime she laughs her eyes form an eye smile.

The precious look she never want to forget.

She will walk even a million miles just to see Sakura smile.

She would do anything just to see it.

Anything.

 

Sakura turn her head looking at Chaeyeon.

Chaeyeon’s laugh is addictive.

Everytime she laugh, it sounds like she have no worries in her life.

But little did the girl know her laugh make the people whom are hearing it got their weights lifted off their shoulders.

Everytime she laugh, it would make her eyes seems to disappear.

Her nose also will scrunch.

One thing she notices they had in common.

She also, have various kind of laugh.

For when she is really laughing, really entertained or just plain embarrassed.

Sakura could hear Chaeyeon laugh for years and she will never be tired of that.

Heck, she would even make Chaeyeon’s laugh as her alarm or ringtone.

But it would sure be scary if suddenly someone laughs in your house when you are actually alone.

Or when it is late in the morning when everything goes dark and quiet then suddenly comes a laughter.

As much as she love Chaeyeon’s laugh, she got to take care of her heart first.

 

 

“Let’s go to the arcade” suggest Yena

“On! Leggo!” Sakura eyes sparkled with Yena’s idea. The two then walk hand in hand excitedly hopping to the arcade.

Yujin and Chaeyeon were left behind.

“It’s a rare occurrence seeing the two in alliance” Yujin stated.

“Well they actually have common taste in something. That’s a relief”.

 

“I’m good with the hammer game. Let me show you how pro play it” Yena talked proudly. Smirking at Sakura.

 

Sakura feels challenged,

“Let’s race!” she said.

And off they went to Mario Kart.

Ah yes, Of course Sakura wins.

 

Yena was annoyed at Sakura snobbishness, so she dared her at claw machine.

Sakura with her over confident asked Chaeyeon,

“Choose what you want”

Yena got it in just 2 tries while Sakura still struggle with it. She almost used all of her tokens.

“This claw machine.. Imma punch it!”

Seeing Sakura so determined to get the bear, Chaeyeon can’t help but smile.

“NOOOOO!!”

Sakura grabbed her hair in frustration.

Chaeyeon saw it and decided to stop her.

“It’s okay Sakuchan let's go!”

“One more time baby just one more time”

The three were shocked “BABY??!!”

But Sakura didn’t hear them.

 

“YESSSSSSS!! LORD MIYAWAKI IS HERE!”

She proudly smiled at Chaeyeon and shoved her the bear.

“Keep this” she smirked.

“Wow you surely fight like a soldier for your BABY”

“I am a warrior 😎”, “Wait what??”

 

Yena got close and inched to her ears

“You just called Chae 'baby' you dumb”

Sakura blushed hard.

But Chaeyeon just took Sakura hand. 

“Let’s go”

 

The next morning after their “date” as we should call it, was Sunday.

And as usual Chaeyeon and her family went to the church.

After hearing the sermon and having some chats with  people at the church, they went home.

But there was something circulating in Chaeyeon's mind.

Chaeyeon was conflicted. With herself.

 

She went back to the church on the evening.

 

To consult her issue with the preacher.

She got into the church.

Seeing there are candles placed at the front, she went straight to it.

Looking for an unlit candle, she took the match box and lit it.

Keeping silence, she says her gratitude and prayer for her family and friends.

After doing so, she put some money into the donation box.

She looked around looking for the pastor.

 

Or at least Sister that she can talk too.

She asked someone and they called in Sister A for her.

“Ah Chaeyeon, what are you doing here?”

“I have to ask you something”

“Ah yes have a sit first”

They sat at the nearest bench, in front of the candles placement.

“What is it Chaeyeon? you seemed troubled” Sister A asked.

“Indeed I am”

“Tell me anything. I’ll listen and I’ll help you” she took Chaeyeon's hands.

“Will you keep it a secret?” Chaeyeon still hesitate.

“Of course. Our private conversation are a secret, except with God”

Chaeyeon goes straight to the issue “Sister, How do one get to heaven?”

Feeling weird, Sister A answered “You already know the answer, that I’m sure“

“But I’m sure I’ll be going to hell” Chaeyeon blatantly said.

“Why do you say that?” Sister A frowned upon hearing that.

“I’m gay”

“God Gracious Lord! Lee Chaeyeon!" she let go of Chaeyeon's hands.

"Do you know how sinful is that? I don’t have to tell you for I’m sure you know it better. What’s gotten into you Chaeyeon? Maybe it’s just a phase of confusion. You’ll get over this I know”

“I won’t. I know it best.”

“Chaeyeon! Stop saying this! You may commit a big sin! I hope you repent and May God Have Mercy on You!”

“But sister you said you’ll help me with it”

“There’s nothing to help! Go home Chaeyeon and don’t taint yourself!” Sister A pushed Chaeyeon out the church.

(Hahaha isn’t it ironic, the one who told you to be kind to everyone, and to do kind to anyone no matter who or what they are are the one witch hunting you once they know something about you?)

 

Chaeyeon turned around and stopped, asking Sister A one more time.

“Didn’t you say I can tell you anything and you’ll help me with it?”

“Yes but not this big sin! I don’t want to be related to this”

“Funny. You’ve done me wrong in front of the Lord”

“I’m not. You have commit biggest sin and you must repent!”

“It's quite funny how you treated me like a saint before you knew about my SIN. And now you’re throwing me out the church because of it. Aren’t you the one who should be spreading love and peace?”

“Shut up Lee Chaeyeon! And leave before I call your parents!”

“Call them. They already knew about me anyway”

Chaeyeon laughed as she walk out the door.

‘Pffttt all it takes is just a confession and now I’m a sinner. All these years of church and finally I got thrown because I’m gay. Speaking of peace and freedom’ she chuckled at her own thoughts.

 

Sister A quickly called Chaeyeon’s mum informing her of what Chaeyeon had said.

“I understand. I’ll talk to her about this. Maybe she’s just confused or anything. Thank you sister for calling. I’m sorry for troubling you”

“I’m sorry but I think she is not the brightest bulb”

“I will try to talk her out on this. Thank you once again Sister”

Her mother quickly get to her father and told him about the issue.

As father is mostly the calm one, Chaeyeon’s father digested what his wife told him and remain his calm.

While her mum was walking around occupying every space on the floor,

Chaeryeong was walking downstairs when she heard everything.

‘Dear Lord, Unnie will be dead like this’ she worried.

 

When Chaeyeon goes back, her parents were already waiting at the door.

“Lee Chaeyeon, where have you gone?”

Sensing something’s wrong, she said “I just went to the church to ask something”

“And did you get the answer?”

“Yes. Though.. not the solution”

“Lee Chaeyeon, do you know how sinful it is what you’re doing now?” her Mum nagged at her.

“You should repent and be glad God still give you this chance of living. I can’t believe you let me down! Now go to your room and think about what you did!” 

Chaeyeon sighed, as she walked to her room following the order.

‘First you pushed me out, second you break the promise we made’ Chaeyeon shake her head remembering that Sister A had promised her to help and keep the secret.

Guess hypocrites hides themselves well.

If all this is wrong then why does it feels so right?

Maybe she don't want heaven.
