It was lunchtime.

The couple were eating their lunch, after weeks of Irene wanting to eat her girlfriend's apple strudel, the younger finally had the time to bake it (with Irene telling her that she'll make it up to her by taking her to their favourite Italian restaurant.) and now, Wendy noticed that Irene winced too much, and then tried to brush it off by chewing on the left side of . Wendy looked at Irene with worried eyes. Something was off. Irene wasn't eating properly anymore.

“Irene-unnie, is there something wrong with your teeth?”

She whipped her head around and looked at the younger with wide eyes.

“N-No, what makes you think that?” she stuttered, voice cracking.

Wendy quirked an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to say something.

Irene let out a silent, defeated sigh. She had been found out. Wendy walked over to her and flicked Irene's forehead. “Why didn't you tell me?”

“Ow…” Irene rubbed her forehead as Wendy stood in front of her. “I could have already made an appointment at the dentist’s for you.” Dentist. Irene got goosebumps just hearing that word.

“I-I’m fine! Really!”

Wendy crossed her arms over her chest and started tapping her foot.

“When was the last time you've been to the dentist?” she asked.

“Uuuh… A few months ago…? With Yeri...?” the older lied.

“Liar! We’ve been dating for almost four years now and in that time you have never ever had an appointment at the dentist’s!” Irene avoided her girlfriend's eyes and looked down, twiddling her thumbs. Wendy can be scary sometimes, although Irene's the one that was holding the 'scary unnie' title among her circle of friends.

“I’m going to make an appointment for you right now, unnie,” Wendy said and turned around. She had already taken a step or two as Irene grabbed her wrist.
“I can make an appointment myself!” Wendy sighed. “If I leave it to you, you’ll never get around to doing that,” the younger huffed. Irene looked at her and pouted. The view was enough can make Wendy melt, but she needed to be stern. Wendy puts her arms around Irene's waist.“Why do you not want to go there? Are you scared of the dentist?” “No! Why would I be scared of going… there.”

“Say dentist.”

“What?”

“If you aren't scared of going there, why won’t you say the word dentist?” Wendy asked.

Irene’s eyes widened a little. It seemed as if she had to mentally prepare herself.

“D-Dentist,” she said silently. Wendy pinched Irene's cheeks. “Why didn’t you just say that you are scared of the dentist?” she asked. “I’m not scared!” Irene looked at Wendy's skeptical expression and gave in. “Okay, yes, I am scared of the dentist.” Wendy smiled a little. “Do you want me to come with you?” she then asked. Irene slowly nodded her head.


“Then I’ll call to make an appointment for the two of us!”


“Ah, wait!” Irene called out.


“Hm?”


She suddenly leaned in and kissed Wendy sweetly.

“You know... the only reason for me getting cavities is your sweetness.”

“Oh my god. That was so cheesy,” the younger was surprised by her girlfriend's cheesiness.

“I’m just trying to tell you that you’re responsible.”

Wendy rolled her eyes and Irene grinned, diving again for another kiss.
