**I realized that this chapter is extremely long. It’s actually almost 2 chapters long. But since I told you the story ends in chapter 20… I’m trying to keep my word by putting it all together on this last chapter. :D

Chapter 20
End

Jisoo arrived at Seoul in the morning and she immediately met with Jimin.

"What?!"

"I was fired last night." Said Jimin. "Everyone in the company who was loyal to Sir V was fired."

"That's illegal!" Said Jisoo

"They're powerful people Jisoo. They can invent an offense and make it look like there is a justifiable reason to fire us." Said Jimin.

Jisoo felt her heart sink.

"My wife and I just learned the other day that she's pregnant." Said Jimin.

Oh no...

"I couldn't tell her I lost my job." Said Jimin.

Jisoo sighed.

This is not good. Who can help her now?

"Do you think RM would help us?" Asked Jisoo

"He will not go against his own father." Said Jimin.

"And Suga?"

"Like his father's shadow." Said Jimin.

Jisoo tried to analyze.

"How about Lisa?" Asked Jisoo

"She's about to leave for Thailand tomorrow. Maybe we can try to talk to her today and see if there's something she can do." Said Jimin

Jimin dialed a number. He waited for a while.

"Miss Lisa!"

It seems Miss Lisa finally picked up.

"It's Jimin, Sir V's secretary." Said Jimin. "I have news... Jisoo has returned to Seoul."

Lisa took a long sip of her coffee as Jimin ended his explanation of what is happening in Polaris.

"If you want welcome village to get the contract back, you need to influence the stockholders. That is a very difficult and long journey considering nobody knows you." Said Lisa

Jisoo sighed. Lisa is right.

"The best chance is to put V back to the CEO position. He can influence the stockholders to change their minds." Said Lisa.

V is the key.

"My step-father has been kicked out of my company. That is why I am in a hurry to return to Thailand. They have voted for me to be the next CEO." Said Lisa. "It's all thanks to V. That is why I am willing to help you. I can threaten the stockholders of Polaris that I may pull out our investment if V is not the CEO because I only trust him. But... I have a feeling that you need another battle plan. My threat will not be enough to oust Jang Hyuk."

"Do we need a scandal against him?" Asked Jimin

"That could work." Said Lisa. "That will make stockholders doubt his eligibility. Is there a scandal we can use against him?"

Jimin sighed.

"Unfortunately I don't have one. Maybe we can plant one. We can invite him into a party and take a photo of him with some woman." Said Jimin

"You are like a villain in a soap opera." Said Lisa "Jang Hyuk is a dirty player. We can give him a dose of his own medicine."

"I... don't think we should go that far." Said Jisoo. "We can't charge him with something he did not do."

Lisa sighed.

"If we are not going to crash his credibility, then how can we kick him out?" Asked Lisa

"We must think of something else." Said Jisoo

V arrived at Seoul that afternoon. He immediately made several calls to locate Jisoo.

"I met her earlier today with your secretary." Said Lisa "We have to talk V."

"Where did you meet her? What time did you part? I can't get through her phone." Said V

"Her phone died while we were talking. That was around two hours ago." Said Lisa

"Did she tell you where she would go next?" Asked V

"No she didn't." Said Lisa.

"I should call Jimin." Said V

"Jimin may know less. He left the cafe a bit earlier than Jisoo and I did." Said Lisa

V sighed. He needs to see Jisoo. He has to fix their problem. And he has to make sure she's safe.

"She did mention wanting to sleep for a while." Said Lisa. "I guess she didn't get any sleep last night. She probably gone to their apartment."

"No. There is no more apartment to return to. They already terminated their lease." Said V

"Then where will she sleep?"

V's eyes widened.

"I think I know where."

V ended the call and made a U turn. He drove fast.

When he reached his house, he ran inside. There was no sign of Jisoo. Where is she?

V felt anxiety and worry choking him. He has to find her.

Just when V was about to leave the house he noticed that the pink slippers were gone from the bottom of the stairs. He knows everything in the house. Everything. That means the slippers should be by the stairs unless some one went in.

V ran up the stairs. He went to the master's bedroom and then he stopped by the bed. On his bed is the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on.

His Jisoo, his sweet Jisoo.

She was sleeping so peacefully like an angel.

V made a sigh of relief as he sat beside Jisoo. Slowly, her eyes opened. And when she looked at him, she smiled as if she was already expecting him.

"You came." She whispered.

"Of course... you know I would."

V pulled Jisoo up and hugged her tight burying his face on her hair.

"I will always follow you, Jisoo." Said V. "So don't run away from me again... you have taken ten years off my life. I was so worried."

Jisoo patted V's back trying to comfort him. He sounded so relieved to hold her. It seems like she really made him go through hell the past hours.

V pulled back a little and cupped Jisoo's face.

"Are we... you are not..." V sighed. "Are you still angry at me?"

Jisoo raised her brows. Did she get angry? Hmm... did she?

Jisoo kissed V's lips quickly.

"What matters is you're here now." Said Jisoo. "You are not here just to take me back to welcome village right?"

V shook his head.

"I will definitely take you to welcome village." Said V

Jisoo gasped.

"But not until we settle Polaris once and for all." Said V

Jisoo hugged V tight.

"What's the battle plan captain?" Asked Jisoo

"I am going to attend the next stockholders meeting. I hope I could surprise them." Said V

Jisoo pulled away a bit.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Asked Jisoo

"Actually..." V tried to think. "Can you get in touch with your marketing team? I want to know if they've reached the 10% sales increase."

"What is that got to do with your battle?" Said Jisoo

V smiled.

"Everything is going to fall into place. Just trust me. Do you trust me?" Asked V

Jisoo nodded.

"Yes."

"Then help me get that information from your teammates Jisoo. The more detailed, the better." Said V

Jisoo nodded.

"All right."

V kissed Jisoo's brow.

"Oh by the way... Lisa said she's willing to help." Said Jisoo

"I'm going to invite her for dinner later here. I need to talk to her. She will definitely be a strong ally." Said V

"I'll cook." Said Jisoo

V pinched Jisoo's cheek.

"I want some chicken barbecue." Said V

Jisoo giggled.

"Just the barbecue?" Asked Jisoo

"And everything that comes after that of course." Said V

RM was preparing to leave his house when he saw a familiar face outside.

"Kim Jisoo." Said RM

"Can we talk please?" Asked Jisoo

RM led Jisoo to his office at home.

"Do you know that you've just entered an enemy territory at your own will?" Asked RM. "What if I detain you and hurt you here?"

"You won't. Because you don't hate V. You're only doing the things you do because of your Dad. But you love V like a brother." Said Jisoo

RM sighed. It took him a while to answer.

"What are you doing here, Jisoo-ssi? " asked RM

"I am here to ask your help to put V back as CEO of Polaris." Said Jisoo

"You're asking me to kick my own Dad out of the Company?" Asked RM

"Polaris is not his. Polaris is V's, it's his Dad's." Said Jisoo

"You are crazy if you think I will do that to my own family." Said RM

"V is family too... and you kicked him out even when he was performing very well. All because your Dad couldn't stand being second to V." Said Jisoo.

RM’s eyes narrowed.

Jisoo took a deep breath.

"I am asking you... to do the right thing." Said Jisoo. "To stand by the CEO who is capable to lead Polaris."

Jisoo heard the door bell and immediately opened the gate.

"Hi!" Said Jisoo.

Jisoo's marketing team mates all greeted her excitedly including Jennie.

"Come in." Jisoo invited them to the kitchen. They're going to have dinner together.

Kwangsoo looked around.

"This is a beautiful house." Said Dahyun

"It is."

Now that Jisoo experienced how it is to live with nothing, she appreciates this house more than ever.

"So Jisoo, we already heard it from the news and Jennie already briefed us about it but it's better if it comes from you." Said Sukjin

Jisoo smiled.

"Is CEO V... really your ex-husband?" Asked Kwangsoo

Jisoo nodded.

"I'm sorry I couldn't tell all of you. Our breakup was not good. We ended in really bad terms. I didn't want that to get in the way of our working with V so... I kept quiet." Said Jisoo

"It must have been difficult for you." Said Kwangsoo

"Actually... V and I got back together..." said Jisoo

Everyone was shocked except Jennie.

"Where is he?" Asked Sukjin. "Is he here?"

Jisoo nodded.

"He was on the phone when you arrived." Said Jisoo

Just then V greeted them from the stairs.

"It’s been a while everyone." Said V

Everyone greeted V.

V joined them in the kitchen.

"Jisoo prepared dinner for all of us tonight." Said V.

"Wow! Eonnie, I'm excited." Said Jennie

"Mom is still a better cook." Said Jisoo

"She's trying to be humble." V placed his hand on Jisoo's shoulder.

"Jisoo and I have been away for a while. There is so much things that has to be fixed. So many work that has to be done. Your team will be the core group who will help us correct what has gotten wrong." Said V

Everyone nodded with determination in their eyes.

Jimin and the marketing team are all working together inside V's office at home. It was like the secret project headquarters.

"The new business is a spa business. It's going to be a high-end business geared towards class A and B clients." Said Jimin

"That will clash with Diamond skin." Said Dahyun. "Didn't CEO Jang Hyuk think that Diamond skin will suffer because of this new business?"

"Can it be that he's also planning to get rid of Diamond Skin?" Asked Jennie

"If he's after all the companies that Sir V contributed to Polaris, then that's a probability." Said Jimin

Kwangsoo shook his head.

"We have to make sure that doesn't happen." Said Kwangsoo

"Look at this... these facilities that are in the spa proposal, are all owned by Dinamax Company." Said Dahyun.

"Dinamax is Miss Lisa's company." Said Jimin

"Do you think CEO V could use that information?" Said Kwangsoo

"Definitely." Said Jimin. "Miss Lisa has expressed her support towards Sir V."

"Good! it seems we're having progress." Said Sukjin

Lisa faced Jin in a café as they talked about the recent developments.

“It seems it will be a very busy week for most of us then.” said Jin

“Aren’t you going to be busy helping?” asked Lisa

Jin sighed.

“I want to help Jisoo. I don’t like her getting stressed.” Said Jin. “But I don’t know if I can bear seeing her with V. In the hospital… I saw how much they loved each other. I couldn’t bring myself to even protest against them… seeing how V sacrificed everything for Jisoo… How Jisoo fell apart when she didn’t know if V could make it…Only a fool will not raise a white flag.”

Lisa agreed. Those two gave her and Jin no choice but to quietly surrender.

“I need to find a reporter who is good at making sensationalized news.” Said Lisa. “Do you recommend any one?”

“Hmm… why would you need one?” asked Jin

“I need to create a buzz. I want people to think there’s a problem inside Polaris. The stock prices will go down and Jang Hyuk will be blamed for it.”  Said Lisa. “We will wait for that to happen before V shows himself back in Polaris. That way he would look like the company’s savior.”

Jin smirked.

“You are a scheming woman.” Said Jin. “But I like your scheme.”

Lisa shrugged.

“I’m a business woman.” She said.

“I happen to know a really popular reporter. He was my college friend.” Said Jin. “I’ll talk to him later.”

After a few days, the news broke that the reason why V is no longer CEO of Polaris was because he was attacked by his own Uncle. His own Uncle wanted the CEO position for himself. The news spread fast in the business world. As expected, Polaris stock prices dropped drastically. A stockholder’s meeting was called.

RM saw that most of the stockholders are now in attendance. It seems the meeting can now start.

Jang Hyuk went to the mic stand.

"Before we discuss the drop in the stock prices which we are all concerned about… we will first  close out the open items from the previous meeting. As discussed, the sardines business is going to be discontinued. We will prioritize a new business venture. We will start-"

The door opened and everyone was shocked to see who the new comer was. It was Former CEO V! Behind him was Lisa, Jimin and Jisoo.

"You wouldn't mind if I join you, right? I am still a stockholder by the way." Said V.

There was silence as V took a seat.

"Go on, Uncle. Since I wasn't here to defend myself when you kicked me out of my position, I want to hear what you have done so far." Said V

Jang Hyuk's eyes were filled with anger.

"You didn't expect me to quietly stay away from Polaris after you decided to touch one of the first business Polaris ventured into, did you?" Asked V. "You know... I would have quietly lived my life until my dying age as far away from Polaris as I can...but you made one big mistake, Uncle. And now you just woke up the dragon."

The atmosphere was so intense no one dared to speak.

"So... you were giving a speech when I came in. What was it about again?" Asked V

Jang Hyuk took a deep breath.

"Whatever misunderstanding we have will be discussed inside the family. Just stay quietly there, V. Do not disrupt this meeting."

"Of course. I don't like disruptions. Unless it's good for Polaris, then disruptions should be welcomed." Said V. "Isn't that how Polaris grew three times within the five years I handled it? It grew so big because we exercised democracy."

Jang Hyuk's jaws clenched.

"The board has already decided. Even if you come here now, the sardines business is already gone." Said Jang Hyuk

"I assure you that it's far from gone. They only stopped for a week since the stockholders of Polaris seemed to be confused. But they're ready to operate anytime once Polaris sees sense again" said V

"We all know that village means a lot to you V. It's your Mom's village and you have always protected it. But this is nothing personal. The reason for discontinuing it is purely for business." Said Jang Hyuk

"Then I hope you don't mind if I contradict you, Uncle. My purpose you see is nothing personal. The new business you are referring to is a spa facility. It pirates the sale of our own Diamond Skin. Are you going to shut down Diamond Skin after? I've seen the projections about the spa business. But I am not impressed." Said V

V asked Jimin to give away the printouts.

"That's Diamond Skin's performance the past three months. I think a 15% increase in sales within three months will tell you how big Diamond Skin could be if we pay more attention to it." Said V. "The spa facility projection could not even give half of that. We are all stockholders here. We want our investments to earn. So you have to decide wisely."

"Aside from that, just before I left Polaris, I was in touch with several people from
