Minho and Changbin were on their way to their classroom since lunch had ended. Changbin was still very angry at his best friend and decided to ignore him. Yes, he had said that Minho had only complained and never acted something out BUT he didn’t intend to encourage Minho to crush the small boy’s heart in that way. The rapper glanced at his friend and noticed that the frown from earlier was still placed on his forehead. He knew Minho long enough to know that the secret admirer thing was bothering him. Still, he chose to keep his mouth shut since Minho would deny everything.

 

Once they sat down, Changbin pulled his phone out of his pocket and started a rather boring game to pass time. Minho glanced at his friend and knew that Changbin was trying hard to not snap at him. Maybe he was right? The words that had left his mouth were too mean and harsh. Well, they were the truth but he still felt a bit bad. At least the letter had comforted the boy. Minho was still a bit skeptical about that secret admirer. He knew that Jisung was loveable, at least for the other people out there, clearly not for him but yeah….uhm he was caring and sweet. So, he wasn’t that surprised but it still seemed a bit fishy? Well, he didn’t know Jisung at all before the boy declared his love for him. Maybe he was rather popular? While he pondered about the secret admirer, Changbin stopped his game and started to type.

Hyunjon: I just noticed how many times he squeezed himself next to Jisung during class

Hyunjon: or how he always chooses him as his partner for projects

Minho didn’t bother to bid his friend goodbye since he still was ignoring him. When he exited the classroom, he got quite surprised as Jisung was waiting for him.

“Hello hyung.” Jisung smiled but Minho immediately noticed that it was fake.

“Hello.” He said since his conscience still bugged him. They started to walk out of the school as an awkward silence wrapped around them. Normally, Jisung would’ve started to talk about his day and annoy the daylight out of Minho but right now he was quietly walking. The older boy sighed deeply and tried to enjoy his peace but he couldn’t. He was going nuts!

“What are you thinking about?” Minho caught himself asking. His brain had to think first before speaking!

“Um…” Jisung eyed Minho warily. “Just about the things from earlier.” He was staring at his feet, feeling weird to talk to the older boy after his harsh words. Minho just nodded and looked everywhere but at the boy. They kept on walking until the dancer could see his house.

“Jisung, I-“

“See you tomorrow, hyung.” Panic was written all over the boy’s face as he interrupted him. He didn’t want to hear what he had to say. Being humiliated once was enough for his heart.

Minho watched the boy’s retreating back and noticed that he didn’t declare his love today. For the first time in weeks, Minho felt a little bit empty.

Minho woke up tiredly as he had slept lesser than he normally did. His mind was screaming at him what made sleeping much more difficult as it normally was. Reluctantly, he rose from his bed and got ready for school.

When he opened the door, he expected Jisung to already be there. But there was no trace of said boy. Minho considered waiting for some minutes in case the younger one was being late but he immediately threw that thought out. What was he even thinking?! Jisung had finally understood what he wanted! So, he put his hands in his pockets and started to walk slowly. The silence was welcome but at the same time it seemed to mock him. It was unbelievable how quickly the boy got used to Jisung’s presence next to him. Minho felt like missing something he actually didn’t miss. It was so confusing that the boy barely noticed how he arrived at his school.

 

 

He walked through the wooden doors, ready to go to his locker. Apparently, people also noticed the absence of Jisung since they started to whisper about the boy. Minho rolled his eyes and tried to look even more intimidating, hoping that the students would back off. He did a pretty good job until he rounded the corner and saw Jisung at his locker, talking to a boy. Minho watched them with wide eyes and flinched when Jisung’s high pitched laughter sounded trough the hallway. He had to past them in order to get to his own locker. The whispers around him got louder causing him to walk faster. When he got closer to the pair, he recognized the other boy as Eric. He was leaning against the lockers and was smiling so brightly that Minho felt annoyed. Maybe Felix was right with his assumption?

Jisung had his arms crossed in front of him but he never the less smiled as brightly as the boy.

“You really have to watch the movie, Jisungie.” Without his notice, Minho’s teeth clenched and his hands turned into fists. Why did the sight bother him so much?

“I will when I have time.”

“I mean we could go together if you want.” Eric put his hand on Jisung’s arm, smiling warmly at him.

 

 

To be honest, Minho didn’t know what got in him. He didn’t know what happened but he found himself standing next to the little squirrel.

“Minho hyung?” Jisung asked surprised and his smile dropped immediately.

“Good morning, Jisung. Can we talk?” He turned his back to Eric, signalizing him that his presence was unwanted.

“Um…” The poor boy did a mistake as he looked into Minho’s eyes. He knew he still was a goner for his crush and the pleading look in the boy’s eyes didn’t help him at all.

“I’ll see you later, Eric.” Jisung said and smiled for the last time before he turned to Minho, dropping his smile. “I’m listening hyung.” Minho hated how cold his voice sounded but he ignored it. He had one chance and he had to take it.

“I wanted to apologize for my words yesterday.” He started but stopped when he saw a dark look in Jisung’s eyes.

“Thank you hyung but I don’t need your pity. You said what you felt, right?” Minho hesitated for a second which was too long for the squirrel like boy.

“Yes, I mean…um but I didn’t want to say it in that way. I’m sorry.” Minho wished that a smile would bloom on Jisung’s face. But it didn’t.

“You meant what you said hyung. I’m sorry for forcing my feelings and the friendship on you. You were right, I didn’t stop even though you asked for it several times. I’m stopping now. I hope that you can forgive me and continue your life as peaceful as you want.”

“Jisung-“

“It’s ok, hyung.” Jisung turned to his locker and opened it, letting Minho know that the conversation had ended. Minho was about to turn around when a letter slid off the younger’s locker. Jisung bent down and quickly took it, pressing it to his chest.

Minho glared at the envelope, turned around and walked away. He felt like vomiting, maybe he was sick?
