Yoo Jaeyi
From Zero [DISCONTINUED]"You're early, that's new." I said as soon as I saw Hyungwon was already in the class, resting his head on the table while playing with his phone. I put all my things on the table and took a seat which was next to him.
"I couldn't sleep." he replied shortly while his eyes were still focusing on the screen phone.
I then chuckled while looking at him who was almost like a restless sloth. "That's also new. Hyungwon and a phrase "couldn't sleep" can't be together in one sentence." I put a candy in front of him and ate one too.
He thanked me for the candy and kept it in his pocket.
The class began right after the lecturer entered the class. "Today we'll just learn the theories. I won't be taking you guys to the studio today." the lecturer voiced and the whole class started to sigh as education on class wasn't that interesting.
As a student who was majoring in musical studies. stage and studio had become one with myself. I did remember when I was seven, I went to Sleeping Beauty play with my family and since that, I wanted to be a musical actress. Sounds like a child's dream but it did happen to me. But now I'm still struggling to show my abilities to the other people.
While in Hyungwon's case, he was just following me. In high school, he wasn't doing great enough but thanks to his father's connection with people who worked at the college, he got into the same major with me. But strangely, he had been doing really good actually. He was so good at memorizing his lines and never hesitate to show his potentials for being a musical actor. And not to mention his well porpotioned face and lanky figure which was perfect for a musical actor. But maybe he was kind of (or too) skinny but if he wasn't that lazy to go to the gym, he would be more fit.
Without any warning, I was shocked by hyungwon who was nudging my arm with his elbow. I almost screamed but luckily my voice didn't come out at all. He grinned cutely and then asked, "Where do you wanna go after this?"
"I'm still working on my play script. You seem so free. Is yours done?" I replied in a low tone while still focusing on what the lecturer was saying.
I didn't see it but I could feel that he was pouting then I noticed he started doodling his notebook. "About 10 to 15 lines and I'm done."
About two months ago, Mr. Kim had given each of us an assignment to do which was a script play for the musical theater. The script should also contain at least five songs and it should be more than one hour and a half long. We could use other famous music but we had to create our own lyrics and dialogues. That's why four months of preparation wasn't enough. I have to make a perfect script play as the greatest one will be chosen to perform at the musical festival next February.
"When did you do it? Gosh, I thought you do nothing but sleeping." I gaped in disbelief, couldn't believe how that lazy turtle could do his work so fast.
"I'm just copying my mom's old play." having a parent who was once a musical actress, maybe it was hi
