Drunk
RunawaysChapter 6 | Drunk
Seulgi walks out of her house feeling lighthearted. She was very eager to wake up so early for today that she didn’t snooze her alarm. Not even once. She’s got things to do.
Five days in this city, she sure has learned a lot about which place is which.
She does her going-out routine and makes sure she’s presentable enough before stepping out of her place. She jogs to that flower shop she found not too far from there. She picks three red tulips. She searches on her phone about the meaning of it first before paying for them. It means perfect love. Seems a little over the edge but that would do. She thought.
She definitely lives close enough from the hotel Joohyun is staying at. She failed to see the alleys connecting the main roads, and it would only take her about ten minutes by foot.
Joohyun hears a knock on her door. Maybe it’s the hotel’s housekeeping. She just got up from her slumber not bothering to wash her face. She opens the door and sees Seulgi in front of her smiling brightly.
“Hi!” Seulgi greets Joohyun. She slightly chuckles. She knew this will be the scenario when she was planning this.
Joohyun slams the door and locks it. What is Seulgi doing at my door this early? She looks at her phone confirming it’s only seven-forty. She panics. “Did you just fix yourself in five minutes?” Seulgi steps in the room teasing Joohyun. She gives the shorter woman the flowers she’s been hiding behind her back. “Sorry for barging in early, but this is the only time I’m free for today.” She admits.
“What’s up?” Joohyun asks. She continues to admire the perfectness of each of the three tulips. This makes her smile unknowingly.
“I’m doing a photoshoot at Šmartno. But I had to keep my promise of seeing you today so here I am.” Seulgi explains her suddenness.
“Oh, okay.” Joohyun’s smile turns into a pout. That explains the big backpack slung over the photographer’s shoulders. She cannot hide her dismay. She thought she’d be spending today with Seulgi.
“I’ll be gone for a few days and I wanted to tell you something before I go.” Seulgi was quite nervous. She isn’t sure if she won’t stutter. She’s practiced in front of the mirror before she went out to carry her mission. “Can you wait for me? I know with that beautiful face of yours, it’s possible you’d meet better looking men or women roaming around t
