The Impossible | CLOSED.Ever since Sulli ventured out for herself and created a name of her own, proposals became a fixated part of her life. It seemed like every day, new proposals were coming in and though at first, it was overwhelming, Sulli had grown immune and tackled each one with efficiency and good outlook. However, being a young CEO, also came the criticism of those older, who voiced their opinions explicitly as they say she doesn’t know what is to be done with the proposals coming in and only to fail in the end.
For the past 4 years, Sulli has been trying to prove them wrong and though she has successful launches and a prospering company behind her name, the criticism has never stopped though it has died down quite a bit. To Sulli, it’s more than just being praised for her work from those who have criticised her but to also be accepted as one of their equal even if she is younger. Sulli feels more fulfilled and satisfied to be accepted by those who have judged her by her age and capabilities.
Proposals now seemed like a piece of cake to Sulli as she knows now what she has to do and what she is looking for in each one amongst the other categories she looks into to deem as passed in her books. So it took her by surprise when she got a sudden visit by Choi Minho, the CEO of a rival company, proposing that they should get married or at least have a fake marriage while making it seem real as possible.
Never in her life nor in her career has she heard the words, fake, marriage and proposal into one sentence while being asked genuinely by someone who is a potential threat to her very own company. This has probably been the weirdest proposal she has ever gotten and she genuinely doesn’t know what to do.
“So you’re telling me that you want me to be your fiance? A fake one? All for the sake of you not losing your company to your parents as it’s a deal to be married in one year?” Sulli mumbles, looking over at Minho incredulously, as he sits across from her, having the desk being the only divider between the two of them. Thinking it over it in her head, Sulli ultimately believes that Minho has definitely lost his mind. There’s absolutely no way that a sane person could ever think of this.
“Exactly. I want you to pose as my fake fiance for the time being to trick my parents that i have fulfilled my part of the deal. By doing that, I get to keep my company. So what do you say?” responds Minho, moving closer to the desk and seeming as pitiful and desperate, having his hands clasped onto the desk and eyes filled with the look of desperation.
There has to be a flaw into this situation and if there isn’t one, Sulli knows that one will eventually arise. Sulli thinks about her past business proposals and takes consideration of how she can apply it to this specific one that has landed onto her lap. Then it hits her and causes to ask Minho in return.
“If this plays out successfully and you get to keep your company, what do I get out this? There has to be a flaw into this and i think i’ve discovered it. You do know that with every proposal both sides have a benefit right? So what’s mine?” inquires Sulli, crossing her arms over her chest and hoping that she is exuding her power. Hearing this, Minho straightens up and forms a small smile on his face as he looks directly straight into Sulli’s eyes.
“We’ll have a merger with both of our companies in which I will share 30% of investment as well as sharing connections that I have that will help you out domestically and internationally. This will allow you to have a stronger foundation and helping you expand more. What do you say? Are you in?” says Minho which all in all intrigues Sulli. To have a merger with a rival company will be impactful and it excites Sulli.
“Why don’t we treat this as a business proposal then? WIll you give me time to think it over and we’ll go on from there?
“Of course, take as long as you need to. It would be great to have a definite answer of yes or no though and then maybe after we’ll work on the logistics of it.”
After MInho left her office, Sulli was alone with her thoughts about this whole ordeal. Though this proposal may seem promising and tempting, one never knows what could arise from it afterwards. If she says yes and agrees to become Minho’s fake fiance, her life will change but the company will so be thriving.
Weighing on the pros and cons, Sulli finds herself considering it and the thought of her possibly agreeing with it in the end scares her. All of a sudden like a water stream, the what if’s pool inside her head which leaves her more confused than ever.
Can they do the impossible?
