" She's got cute handwriting ", complimented Donghan with a smile on his face.

That morning, he was greeted with a yellow post-it note stuck on his locker, baring the words "Thank you". Donghan assumed it's from Kang Seulgi since he did notice how tongue tied she got when he returned her lost ring. He couldn't help but chuckle at the memory of her flushed face. Taking off the post-it note, he stuck it on the inside of his locker before walking to class.

Son Naeun, who was peering over a nearby classroom window, observed Donghan's every move with a smirk plastered on her face. Her excuse of borrowing a calculator since she apparently "lost" hers and needs one for the first lesson, was what granted her an entry into that classroom and an access to its window. Once the guy was out of her sight, she took her leave before heading back to her respective classroom.

" Hey there! ", she cheerfully greeted her best friend the moment she took her seat.

Seulgi expected Naeun to ask if she did manage to thank Donghan even before greeting, but none of what was running in her head happened. Regardless, Seulgi greeted back and as usual, it didn't take long before the two were engrossed in a conversation. What surprised Seulgi even more was the fact that Naeun didn't even bother asking her about Donghan. Did she forget already?, 
She thought to herself, finding it odd how persistent she was the previous day yet seemed completely uninterested at that moment by not bothering to enquire a single thing regarding it all.

Little did she know, Naeun thanked him on her behalf.

Clueless of what her friend did, Seulgi decided not to ever let go of her plans. She thought the only right thing she could do was to express even the tinniest bit of her gratitude towards the one who found her precious lost ring. After all, she didn't want to leave a negative impression on the guy she crushes on.

Gathering all the courage left within her body, Seulgi called him during break when they once again crossed path. He stopped on his tracks with his back facing her direction. Her heart skipped a beat the moment he turned to face her, settling his eyes on her. Averting her gaze, she glued it on the floor before taking steps closer to him.

" Thank you ", she said once close as she lifted her face.

Donghan stared back at her, suddenly seemed in a loss of words.

" For... giving me back my ring ", she fiddled with her fingers as she looked around before once again locking her gaze with his.

" It's nothing ", he chuckled before looking away.

" Umm, well then... See you around! ", grinned Seulgi, turning away when he called her.

" Kang Seulgi ", the way her name gracefully slipped out of his tongue, made her heart do a tiny dance within her rib cage.

Trying her best to maintain her composure, she faced him with a smile masking her feelings. However, her cheeks betrayed her since they were in a light shade of red thus exposing what she actually was going through.

" Have we met somewhere before? ", he asked.

High school for sure isn't the first place these two meet. Seulgi couldn't help but get flustered over the fact he does remember her. However, she didn't want to seem too excited by confirming his words hence replied with a question, proving that she too was in "doubt".

" I'm not sure... Have we? ", she looked back with both her eyebrows raised.

Donghan had his eyes squinted, got lost in his thoughts for a while as he tried recalling where he had seen that face before.

" Ahh, you too attended Dankook middle school, right? ", he beamed.

" Yeah, I did ", she chuckled.

" No wonder you look quiet familiar. Anyways, see you around, it was nice meeting you again ", he smiled before taking his leave.

Taking a final glance at her once he was a few meters away, he waved before disappearing off the distance. Seulgi waved back, stood frozen on her spot before she too walked away.

Why would she thank me twice?, Donghan mentally questioned himself.
