Taeyeon’s POV

That tall freak! How can he just behave that arrogantly?! EHHHHHH!!!!! I HATE HIM. I stomped inside, dragging Kibumiee with me. “Noona…” I hear a soft voice behind me. Turning around I saw Kibum with a sad look. He kept his head down the entire time. I couldn’t help but sigh. That FROG! I’ll get back at you for this!

“Bummiee” I said softly as I tilted his chin up, so he was looking at me. When I knew I had his attention, I continued-

“Don’t take anything that tall frog said to heart. I don’t know why he was reprimanding you, but there is a way to talk and the way he was doing it was wrong. You don’t have to feel bad.” I smiled at him reassuringly. That’s when I saw a handsome guy making his way towards us. He wasn’t so tall but he was muscular and very handsome! As he reached us he softly called out-

“Kibum” WOW!!!! He has beautiful voice! I saw Bummiee visibly relax as he turned towards the guy.

“Is everything fine?” No wonder Bummiee relaxed, his voice has that calming effect.

“Yes Hyung, everything is alright.” Bumiee replied with a soft smile.

“Ah! Jonghyun Hyung, this is Taeyeon Noona; Taemin’s Noona.” Bummiee introduced gesturing towards me. Oh! So this was Bum’s intended! He looks nice, but I’ll have to scan him first.   

“Annyeonghaseyo…..It’s a pleasure to meet Taemin-ssi’s sister.” He bowed to me and smiled a charming smile. I returned his smile while bowing back as I said-

“Annyeonghaseyo Jonghyun-ssi, it’s nice to finally meet you. I have heard so much about you from Bummiee that I couldn’t wait to meet you.” He glanced at Bum at my comment and both of them blushed cutely. I turned to Bum and said-

“Bummiee, can you be a darling and grab Noona a drink? I’m parched.”

“Emmm….. Sure…” He hesitated before agreeing. As he wandered towards the bar, I turned my attention to the person in front of me.

“Jonghyun-ssi.”

“Emmm….Yes….”

“You can call me Noona, I do think I’m older than you.” I told him giving a small smile for reassurance.

“Emmm….Ok Noona”

“Being here means Bummiee apologized to you, right?”

“Ehhh….yes he did.” He looked at me nervously wondering where I was going with this.

“So I’m assuming you know, if not everything but at least something, about his past.”   

“Yes Noona, both Jinki hyung and Kibum told me about it.” He looked me in eyes as he said.

“Good, so I don’t have to brief you about it. Let me get straight to the point, now that you know what he has gone through, I hope you’ll understand all our worries and his reluctances at trying any relationship.” I paused to see if he was keeping up. All he did was nod without interrupting me. I continued-

“I heard what he did and I did reprimand him for it. He is young and sometime does things recklessly but he doesn’t mean harm. All I’m asking of you is to look after him. When he spoke to me about you, I knew you were a nice person. And meeting you has confirmed it. I know you’ll take good care of him. And if, at any time, he does something stupid, then don’t hesitate to call me. I’ll have his ear for it. But please make him happy. He deserves it. It took Jinki a lot of time to get Kibum to appreciate the little things after his trauma. So we all want only happiness for him. I hope you understand me”

“I do Noona. I assure you I have his best interest at heart, and I’ll try my hardest to keep him happy” He reassured me. I could see emotions dancing in his eyes. His eyes that are so expressive told me that he speaks truth.

“Good. And Jonghyun –ssi, just to let you know. I’m not a nice person when it comes to someone hurting my family.” I told him with a sweet smile. He caught my subtle threat as he gulped visibly.

“Of course Noona” he said quietly. Just then I heard Bummiee call out.

“Noona! Here’s your drink.”

“Thank you Sweety! Jonghyun-ssi, why don’t you give Bummie a tour? Sorry for keeping you both when you guys so want to spend time together!” I teased them lightly and both of them started blushing like a strawberry.

“No..Noona!” Kibumiee stuttered.

“Aigooo….you both are too cute!” I laughed seeing them blush more.

“Aish! Let’s go hyung!” Kibumiee said as he started pulling Jonghyun-ssi in opposite direction. I couldn’t help but laugh. Just then I heard someone call my name.

“Taeyeon.” I turned to see Jinki and Tae walking towards me. As they reached me, Jinki asked

“What happened? We saw you coming in with Bum, and frankly your expressions looked scary.” And as if suddenly remembering my previous irritation my expression changed to annoyance.

“Aish! That stupid tall arrogant freak!”

“Who are you talking about Taeyeon?” Jinki asked with puzzled expression.

“I think Noona means Minho-ssi.” Tae chirped from beside Jinki. I looked at both of them with suspicious gaze but let it pass for now.

“I don’t know his name, but he is freaking tall with big eyes.”

“Yup! That Minho-ssi!” Tae laughed while saying “What did he do?”

“I was passing by the balcony when I heard him being rude to someone. So I decided to check and guess what, that someone was Bumiee! How dare that freak talk to Bummiee that way! But don’t worry Jinki, I made sure to teach him a lesson, he’ll never cross our Bum again!” I told Jinki smiling sweetly. As I looked at him, I could see he was losing it. His face was sporting an annoyed expression. Just then, we saw that freak walk in. Coincidently, he glanced at us and our eyes met. I could see him gulp visibly. I my left to see Jinki giving him his patented glare. Well mister, you crossed the wrong guy. Now you are officially on Lee Jinki’s List.

Kibum’s POV

What is wrong with Taeyeon Noona! It was so embarrassing! I heard a chuckle behind me and that’s when I realized I was holding on to Jonghyun hyung’s hand all this while. I could feel my cheeks heat up as I let go of his hand and turn towards him. He stood there looking handsome with a warm smile.

“Ehhh….sorry about that, noona always knows how to embarrass people.” I told him nervously to which he smiled and said-

“Don’t be. She actually reminds me of Sodam Noona, she does the same.”

“Ehhh….ok.”

“Why don’t we walk around?” he suddenly held out his hand for me to take. Now my cheeks were on fire. As I held his hand, I realized he has such warm hands! We both began walking around the gallery. He told me about a few paintings and the stories behind them. It was very funny how most paintings were inspired by his pet puppy Roo. As we walked more, we came across the same painting which made my brain turn into a puddle. As we stood before that painting, I looked at him with a questioning gaze. He must have realized as he answered my unspoken question-

“When I saw you perform that song, I was mesmerized. I couldn’t get your eyes out of my head. That’s when I decided to paint this. I didn’t have lot of time but I was motivated. Somehow I managed to finish it before the exhibition. I wanted to use this for the exhibition, knowing you’ll be here. This is my thank you for that amazing song.” he said looking at me with a genuine smile. I could feel my heart beat fast.

“You didn’t have too…” I told him quietly. He laughed as he tilted my head up.

“Of course I had too! For the sake of this new friendship!” I couldn’t help but laugh along with him.

“Also I have to thank you for this beautiful suit. I don’t know much about fashion, but I have been getting numerous compliments, so I think it looks great!” he said chuckling nervously as he scratched his neck. I couldn’t explain how much this made me happy. I couldn’t keep my smile off!

“I’m happy you like it. When I designed it, I wasn’t so sure, I was pretty nervous if you’ll like it or not. This makes me very happy to know that you liked it”

“Yo…You designed it”? He had this shocked expression on his face.

“Emmm….yes I did.” I chuckled nervously.

“WOW!!!!  Now that makes me feel more special!” He laughed

“You should be, you are now officially Kim Kibum’s Friend! You should get used to this treatment!” He laughed as I puffed up my chest. He laughed heartily.

“Well, in that case, I have something to ask of you. I have been awarded the Yanghyun award and if you have some time, would you accompany me? I can bring one person with me. Normally I take Minho with me but I feel that it’s only fair to take the person who was my inspiration with me. So…..” He looked at me with a nervous gaze.

Jonghyun hyung was awarded the Yanghyun award and he wanted me, ME, to go with him!!!!!! I am his inspiration!!!!!! I was too stunned to say anything and only kept looking at him with a slightly open mouth! It seems as if Jonghyun hyung misinterpreted my silence because he quickly started saying, “I mean, you don’t have to. It’s no big deal. I thought it would be fun if we went and all but there’s no need! Actually, you must be busy then so  it was silly of me to ask-“

“Hyung! You’re asking me to come with you to attend the Yanghyun award?! You got THE YANGHYUN AWARD?!!!! Oh my God!!!! It’s such a big deal! And you want to take me?! Oh my God! Of course! Of course! But you have to let me dress us both!!! I won’t let either of us go looking like a fashion disaster!!! You know what, come over! I’ll make a proper outfit give you a proper makeover! It’s a deal Hyung! You can’t back out now! For the sake of our new friendship!” I said without waiting for even a moment! I’m so excited!!!

“If you say so Kibum. I’ll be in your expert hands! I’ll send you the details soon. Thank you for agreeing Kibum.”

Good Lord! He looked so sweet and soft while saying that that my body moved on its own and hugged him. When I realized what I had done, I quickly stepped back, knowing that I looked as red as Taemin’s suit, and said, “Congratulation Hyung! You totally deserve that award!”

 “Thank you Kibum. I’ll be in your care! ” 

Minho’s PoV

Just who was that crazy lady?! Why was she looking at me as if I had kicked her puppy?! Huh. All crazy!!! And Jinki hyung! He looked like a bunny when I first saw him but why was he looking at me like a tiger looks at his pray?! Just then, I saw Jonghyun hyung coming towards me. Ahh, my Jonghyun hyung! The one sweet person in this crazy place! “Hyung!”

“Minho! How was the exhibition? I’m sorry I didn’t get to talk to you much!”  Hyung is so considerate!

“No worries hyung! The exhibition was great! Your hard work paid off!”

“Hehe, thanks Minho-ah. Actually, I wanted to talk about the Yanghyun awards. The thing is-”

Ahhh! Hyung wants to ask me to go with him!!! Although I’m busy, I’ll still make time for him!

“- and so, I’m taking Kibum with me. I hope you’re okay with that.”

Ohh! Take Kibum! Of course I’m okay with….wait. WHAT?? Take KIBUM???
